I am unable to read the Hindi SMS received on my Wildfire S. It appears only as BOXES. (Handset purchased in India). Same thing used to happen on my HTC Touch WM6 handset as well. Any remedy ?
Hindi language is not supported by the the HTC handsets..u can ask a dev to create a .apk file which might enable it..but i don't think so it will be possible...they might release a rom with hindi language support but again u'll have to ask the devs

Hey guys
Anyone here can help me in getting arabic support for TP2
THanks so much
Hi, go to www.htc.com and select middle east arabic then send email to support for any queries. Regards
but I bought mine from t-mobile, and I upgraded the rom so what can I do to get arabic support
I do understand your problem, you want arabic language support in the phone, so you can read text and email in arabic. I'm looking for it as well, will update here when i found something.
anyone get this?
here you go guys I'm using this with TP2 with AT&T and it works like a charm.
its from Microsoft. It will let your device read arabic only not writing. DOES NOT SUPPORT OPERA 10.
Also I attached arabic keyboard so you can right if you want. uncheck all the languages except arabic.
Have fun.
IMO Microsoft has arabized the latest WM6.5 build 23037
This version was extracted and built into cab by good members of www.ce4arab.com
ce4arab link: http://www.ce4arab.com/vb7/showthread.php?t=170922
After installing you should change localization to Saudi Arabia to use full features of the arabizer.
Though know it seems this Arabizer has a long way to go before it'll work like a charm.
Then there is 'Paragon Software Group' which have two versions (Full and Lite) of their Arabic Language Support program. Here's their page;

[ Above webpage translated to Arabic; translate.google.com ]
Hope this helps,

To make a phone call, I'm looking for way to enable search in hebrew contacts names using the dialers keypad (the same done in english name contacts and english letter keypad).
To do so there is a need to make dialer keypad with hebrew letters
I tried to acess the original files from Hebrew support thread by they dont exist anymore.
I'm looking to update dialer to include hebrew letters. Any idea ?

Hello All Experts,
my HTC Desire Z was bought with a Netherland/Belgium Firmware but i operate it in german Language. It came therefore with a AZERTY Keyboard Layout which would't be a problem if i was able to change the prediction language of the hardware keyboard typing to german. But the problem is that this is only possible for french and english in the installed OS.
I read a lot of posts talking about the following solutions:
1. Change Hardware Keyboard Mapping (Still prediction missing)
2. Run some other firmware (Not sure if original firmware or overclocking is done to that firmware)
My Questions:
Is there a possible way of adding german spell prediction by a file to the system? If the mapping is only a file this should be possible.
Can someone point me to the original german 1.72 firmware which is still able to be updated (german delivery OS - without any modification).
Thank you all
i have the same issue, i have installed arabic language on my desire z from

Cant write arabic with HW Keyboard.

Hi guys, I have a question. I have bought a new HTC Desire HD, but it is only in English and German. How can I set Dutch language on the phone? Does somebody have the right Dutch firmware, the right flashing tool and the right flashguide for me so I can flash it? Or does somebody know an other way to set original Dutch language?
Regards,
Tuny
Try a custom ROM with language support or install app "more locale 2", not sure about Dutch support though. Also may need root & give su permissions (can't quite remember)
Sent from my SGS2 or HTC DHD
I tried more locale 2. It does have Dutch support. But the problem is it only converts the English app names to Dutch, and it doesn't convert the menu's (settings, folders) itself. I have searched for custom roms but couldnt find anything. I only have found a program called: RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_signed.exe
Does this work? If it doesn't work, where can I find any custom roms or any root files for flashing to DutcH? please somebody help

Hello my fellow Dutchman. First, let me ask you some questions:
- Is your DHD perm rooted or not? And do you have it S-OFF?
- Do you have a Dutch DHD or did you buy it abroad?
Hello all,
I have the Galaxy Nexus and when I was configuring it, there was no Arabic in the UI language list.
As far as I know that most developers confirmed that the new version of Android (ICS) will have the Arabic language (menu & options Arabized).
Is there any way to enable the Arabic language on Galaxy Nexus?
Thanks,
Try to use some app that will make locale manually like morelocale2, that's work great with hebrew, after that our device set to hebrew.

I tried it but it almost did nothing. Only numbers were arabized
What I know for sure is that Arabic is *fully* supported for reading and if you need writing download any Arabic keyboard. I didn't see anyone say it will support Arabic menu. This is to the best of my knowledge
Read the Locale section
