Sorry mate, but it's physically impossible for it to work, regardless of software. A TV out jack has 2 splitters in it so it can get 3 different signals (video & 2 audio). The socket has to be the right kind. In the SGS2 it is for audio only.
How is possible to install this mod?

Did you know it syncs your recorded TV onto your BlueAngel?! All from within Media Center using the remote.
I'm one happy man.
Q.
Can you get the Synced TV to play landscape full screen, I could never get it to work, it would squash it up abit. Please let me know.
Works fine for me ... fullscreen mode AOK.

hello guys
I need to download Media player for my BA can you give me the link or the thread from where I can get it
I am useing a windows 2003se
will I need to upgrade to use media player 10 ?
if u want to play large avi files, then use betaplayer instead. controls are good (forward / rewind etc) and it resumes the movie/video from where u closed last time.
WMP 10 Mobile is also fantastic with "Napster To Go"! I now have 60+ Albums on the IIs, just need to find some better quality headphones with a 2.5mm jack.
Any recommendations would be good!
Porkspeare,
The headphones for the XDA, XDAII and the XDAIIs are all propriatory and are none standard. If you plug in any other headphones they wont work so I afraid we're stuck with the ones supplied.

Not true. All you need is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter, and you can use any standard headphones you like. If you find the right adapter you can even still use the internal mic of the XDA to talk when you receive a call.
I hope other headphones do work, as I have broken the ones that came with it.
I am going for a demonstration of EarSet 1 & Earphones over the weekend. So I really need to know if the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapters work.
i'm selling xda2s original xda2s headphones on ebay

Well I've been using a pair of Sony buds for the past year and they work perfectly. I got my adapter from eBay, but you should be able to find one without too much trouble.
Cheers grayhaze I'll have a shop around this weekend.

Sorry, but other headphones will not work 100%...
If you want to use the headphones for Phone usage for example, then forget it...
The plug on the original ones has a proprietary connector to allow the answer/hang-up buttons work, so other headphones will allow the sound to go through, but not the green/red phone buttons.
I bought a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack at the weekend and have now found that it doesn't work. So now I need some direction is there any particular 2.5>3.5 jack i need to get?

I run windows xp media center edition on my laptop. I had to run SSADUninstall.exe and reboot. I then uninstalled media player 10. Downloaded the rollup 2 package from microsoft and installed (took 10 minutes). Rebooted and downloaded the v11 media player. Plugged my captivate in to usb and chose media player. Media Player 11 then sync'd to my phone and it is awesome! Don't need kies (which I recently updated and was told it no longer supports my device). Uninstalled kies. Installed the drivers (drivers folder). All device drivers now work including MTP.
Hey Everyone,
Has anybody identified a good program for having "remote control" functionality with the Hermes? I was in a place with REALLY bad TV where I would have killed for the ability to change the f-ing channel.
Thanks!

Seconded, it's superb. Had to manually program all the codes in though myself, as it refused to work with preprogrammed ones.
Forget IR-Remote with Hermes. The IR-beam is too weak, has only max. 1 meter radius
Doesn't look like it is actively produced anymore (but you can still track it down - http://www.shentech.com/totalremote.html ) I've still got a Griffin Total Remote and it'd be interesting to see if it would work with the headphone adapter etc. Essentially it is software and a powerful IR adapter that converts audio signals from your headphone jack to IR signals...
it is weak but it is better than nothing. i am using it my tytn as remote controller for my dslr on trips
For now, I'm just looking for recommendations on what bluetooth head unit works good. I'm going to go shopping this weekend.
But feel free to post your happy/unhappy stories/reviews about bluetooth head units with the Captivate.
Thanks.
FWIW Only slightly related: my Ghetto setup with the MOTOROKR T505 worked good with Captivate, fast handshake as long as bluetooth left on all the time with both devices. But I now have decided I need native integration into an aftermarket stereo.
I have an older Pioneer and the A2DP works great for streaming music, system sounds, navigation, etcs.
Calling on the telephone works great, no issues here.
There are two single DIN units out for this year:

I'm going to try mine on my Sony BT2500 and I'll post back the results when I get a chance.
This is what I am using, and I get full features from mine.
Music controls on handset or deck both work (and remote).
Caller ID/Missed Call/Call log scrollable menu on deck screen.
BT phone audio through speakers with included in car mic.
Full audio volume control.
Charging from USB port (with regular USB cable, some companies like Alpine you need their specific cable) and thumb drive play capability.
3.5 aux jack

FH-P8000BT; Voice Dial
Has someone tried the Pioneer FH-P8000BT? I uderstand it's a nice option but don't know if it works ok with Galaxy S's.
Also, is any of the head units mentioned above able to dial by voice? Is it functional?
Thanks all who responded. That's good to know there's a few good options.
happy shopping to me!
I have mine paired to my Kenwood kdc-x993. Contacts automactically downloads to the radio and you can store 7 contacts for speed dialing. Supports a2dp, voice recognition dialing and SMS (haven't test that yet).

I have had the Pioneer FH-P8000BT for a year or so. I am transitioning from a Zune, and have found the BT audio to be good on the Captivate, and the utit itself matches the phone perfectly. I haven't played with calling too much, but it worked fine on a couple of WM phones that i used. It has a USB out in the back, but I have not yet tried plugging it in with a micro USB (I'm waiting for a right angle micro-USB cable so that its a little more low-pro).
I've searched and looked, and I can't seem to find a complete answer to exactly how the bluetooth works on these things.
As far as I can tell; there is the native bluetooth manager that's built into Android, and then a Bluetooth app. Seems like the app is used to make calls and stream from the phone?
I've also read that there cannot be an OBD2 sensor and a phone connected at the same time? I remember reading somewhere that's because Android doesn't actually handle the bluetooth itself, so if I were to get a bluetooth dongle, would that fix this?
FYI, I have a joying headunit and I have been using the Torque app w/ a Bluetooth ODBII adapter and received calls while both are connected. But yes the Bluetooth profiles that come with these units are very limited and basic.

What is your process in getting them to work together?
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I remembered that I had another BT OBD2 adapter. I was using this one and couldn't get it to work, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011NSX27A/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_F0mqxbPZDQSQ5
I then pulled out my old one, (not this exact one, but looks identical) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EQ57BE8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_b8mqxbA6SEVRV and now they both are working together.

Is it possible to get DashCommand working on these units? I like it better than torque.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Sure no problem, and what I did is just buy a self powered USB hub and stick an additional Bluetooth dongle in there (android compatible, costs about $4) and pair with both.
Never had a problem with any of them
Hello,
The BT module in these devices are not an internal device, rather an external BT chip. There is no direct data line between device and BT chip. Basically they send commands and share metadata over serial port. Thats all about so dont consider it is a native bluetooth device.
So our phones have a Qualcomm 845 SoC, which afaik supports Qualcomm's TWS+. This would allow an individual bluetooth connection to both left and right earphones, if you have a pair of bluetooth TWS that also supports TWS+.
I finally updated to the latest Feb update of 10/Q from the Aug 9/Pie software on my phone yesterday, just to see if TWS+ was available and working. I've been hoping for it for a quite a while now, really since I got this phone. It will potentially give 1.5-2x more battery life for some of my BT earphones.
I'd like to enable this feature or know if it's going to finally be added to the Pixel 3 XL. Is there a way and I've just missed it?

Not an option in developer options.
I do have # of BT connections set to 5, which is the same as default.
You don't have a codec or channels configuration in developer options?

I do. Codec or mono/stereo isn't what TWS+ does. Codec is how the audio is encoded, mono/stereo mode is whether is sending mixed/mono audio or L&R stereo audio.
TWS+ is Bluetooth being connected to each earphone directly. Instead of the older method of connecting to a single 'master' earphone which then transmits to the second 'slave' earphone.

Mavin Air-XR, no app but does have TWS+.
It's not an app or 3rd party software that is the issue. TWS+ support on BT earphones is part of the chipset and with or without a supporting app it will work. It just has to be supported and enabled on the source device, as it's the source device that connects directly to each earphone.
If you can get the files from another device that has 845 SoC and has it enabled you could use magisk to make a module to enable it. Seems the lib files are not on our device. Not sure what all the libs needed are, sorry.

So how do you know it's not already enabled? Are you able to connect just the left one and hear sound? I believe if it's just regular Bluetooth wireless it's usually always the right headset that handles the connection that's how it was for my Jabra and my brother's bragis
Under the Qualcomm website for the SD845 SoC it just says true wireless stereo and I don't see any mention of true wireless stereo Plus
(((((EDIT)))))
Here's the link for the true stereo 'plus' filter and I don't see any of the flagship SoC's listed. Oddly enough it's the budget style ones that seem to have it lol

If TWS+ was working when connected BOTH earphones would show up as connected (only one active) in the Bluetooth list.
As it stands, only the Left shows connected and if turned off music turns off on the right. My Tronsmart, Mavin and Sabbat all use the left as the main connection. Other MFG such as Jabra use the right.
Tws + does not work either.
The same problem, only on another phone (Xiaomi mi 9t). On MIUI firmware, tws + works fine, but when I install the Pixel Experience firmware, tws + stops working.
