[Q] Slow Boot then Freeze - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my phone rebooted abruptly. Now on the boot screen it stutters and partially freezes. After a long while it will go the lock screen but I can't draw a pattern or do anything with the buttons.
After the idle timeout the screen turns off and then I can't do anything.
I tried clearing cache/dalvik cache with no luck.
Any ideas what may be going on or what I can do?

[Q] Phone doesn't turn on immediately and problems come after

Hi,
My phone won't turn on when I pressed the power button, after leaving it awhile, it lights up and it shows the white screen with 'HTC' logo, then it vibrates non-stop for 5-6 minutes, then the vibration stops. After leaving it awhile, it eventually boots up to the phone (sim unlock) and can b used normally. The thing is, rebooting the phone will also repeat the problem mentioned above. Nothing for some time then white screen comes out with non-stop vibration. Even if i boot to recovery, it will still be the same.
Any ideas to fix this?
Thx in advance:fingers-crossed:
Sounds like a hardware problem...clear cache and whatever in recovery....maybe dalvic cache isnt sticking after reboot(if your rooted) but other than that not sure

[Q] Phone keeps shutting off by itself

The model of my phone is SGH-T999. It is not rooted (I'm going to root it soon though), its running Android 4.3 and I do admit I've dropped it a few times but it has a cover. It shuts off at the most random moment and restarts itself, and sometimes it won't go past the Galaxy SIII logo before restarting itself once more. Theres a possibility the lock button has something to do because when it stays in that startup loop I play around with the lock button till it finally finishes the startup succesfully, but I don't know how the lock button can make it shut down on its own while its turned on without me touching the "power off" option in the window that comes up.
Let's assume for a minute that the Power Button is not the culprit of the reboot. Its certainly possible that the button causes reboots during Boot. Several people have discovered, this button can get stuck.
So given that, let examine your Reboot. You may have to try a factory reset to see if that helps. Typically if there are a lot of background apps running, the phone may get warm and reboot.
Speaking of temperature, you may want to use some Battery Temp monitor like TempMonitor. Stock firmware tends to have low tolerance for temperature and may force Reboot.
Holdin the power button will force a hard reset btw. So if itz sticking that'll do it.

Need help fixing 5x with glitching screen

What happened is that i opened an app and then the phone went to sleep, when I unlocked it the screen started to glitch and appear to pressing on the screen for itself. I tried pressing the home button but it was lagging and nothing really happened so I held down the power button and reset the phone. When the phone booted back up and I had to enter my screen lock, I noticed that it wasn't corresponding with where I was pressing, also I pressed on the screen with a quick touch, it appeared that multiple touches registered all over the screen. Since I couldn't get past the screen lock, I turned off the phone, went into Recovery and factory reset the phone. Even after the factory reset, the problem persists so I can't even go through the setup wizard. The phone is completely stock by the way, is there any way to fix this? Or am I going to have to send it back?

Lg G3 screen stuck on boot screen

Very strange problem. I have a LG G3 D855 for 1 and a half years now(rooted)
My phone was at a very low percentage, and I heared it go out. Happens to everybody, nothing strange so far.
I connected it to the charger and I turned it on, i heared the startup noise, but nothing happened. No pincode screen or unlock screen. Stuck at LG life is good screen. I actually was able to take a screenshot, i heared that sound when pressing power and volume down key. I know it is just right away from the main screen, but why is my screen freezing at startup logo? Tried to hard reset and clear all data, then I get a secure confirmation (verify) error. then my led starts to flash red and blue. Battery taking out and still no success.
How to fix this? Also screen is recognizing touch at the startup screen (when it fades away i click on it and it turns brighter)
EDIT: I blindly went into whatsapp and i am able to type and answer calls blindly wtf. Now I got a blue screen, everything is operational, the screen is blue now
Phone is functional, the screen is stuck on boot (life is good screen or blue screen)
How to fix?
Lol, the day after I hit my phone on the screen and restarted it and it worked again! I really dont know how it works again, but lmao! Also my secure boot sector is not working, that problem has nothing too do with this fixed one.

Black Screen on some Reboots...

I am wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue that happens to my phone every few weeks. I don't usually reboot my phone, but sometimes I do. Occasionally, when the phone starts, the screen is completely black. If I shine a flashlight on it, I can sometimes faintly see the screen. The only thing that can resolve it is holding down the power button for 10 seconds so it restarts.
Sometimes when it happens, if I'm in the car etc, I can't tell if the phone is on or off, so it's a bit of a headache.
I've completely reset my phone and flashed an Android 10 Image a few months ago, but it still occurs. ( This was a full factory reset with clearing cache etc in recovery ). I've never rooted the phone, but have always had bootloader unlocked.
Anyone else ever experience this?

I'm still on Android 9 and occasionally this happens to me too. I rarely reboot so I don't notice it that much but it does happen. If I hold the power button down I can feel the vibrate feedback for the power menu presumably. I've never tried to troubleshoot it investigate because it happens too infrequently for me
