you sure you have android 2.21? or your still on 2.1? and just letting you know, not all apps are compatible with apps2sd but most should be, a good app to try is angrybirds and try and move that and see if you have any problems
I have android 2.2.1.I can move apps but oli want when i download from market auttomaticcaly save in sd card.

oh so you want it auto install to sd card if im correct? i dont know then haha lazy
If on stock froyo u can set install location to sdcard by using adb. On cm7 there is an option in the settings for this. Both these refer to android secure folder of memory card and not ext partition.
The adb command is
adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2
Command is case sensitive.

Hi guys. After rooting my phone and install leedroid's 2.2f i downloaded some widgets from the market, install them and everything worked perfect until i connected my device to the pc using usb drive to transfer some files. After that, widgets e.g. handcent sms unable to load. What might be the cause? If i install them again they will propably work. But i have to.do that each time i connect to the pc.
Phone: HTC Desire running leedroid.2.2f 4gb sd card with ext3 partition.

I think your sd-ext is mounted while you mount your sdcard (this should not be) maybe you have activated external install of apk and u use Froyoy App2SD AND Sdext?
Move the widgets to internal storage if yes this should solve the problem!
You might be correct. Should i uninstall apps 2 sd?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
No. That will make things worse.
Go to app settings and display all apps installed to sdcard then move them all to internal storage (which will put them on the sd-ext partition.) Should solve your problem.
As far as I know widgets have to be installed on internal memory

I moved all the applications that use widgets and the eidhets to the phone. Same problem. Thinking a full wipe..

Did You do a restart afterwards? Otherwise it is clear, that the widgets still don't show up....
Cheers

I'm having the same issue. Even using the same rom.. Is there a 3rd part app that allows you to utilize the ap2sd space? All of my apps show up in the internal memory, it appears.
Can someone help? Pretty please.
In terminal type:
su
a2sd reinstall
Now hit enter(this is action not typed)

A2SDGUI is a great app to use. But because terminal emulator is needed for so much here on XDA, good idea to learn commands and usage of it as well.

Move apps to SD
You can easily move your games to SD with "ES File Explorer"
but you need enable root acess to this application, so you can move all kind of data stored on your phone.
For non rooted phones, there are some applications that cant be moved to SD card
So the first step is obtain the root acess to your phone

Provided u got class 6 or above microSD.
If not, swapping will cause slow boot up of apps.
I think It will better if you can afford class 10 to swap between external and internal storage..

When I tried to install su via my recovery it doesn't recognize my SD card.
I am newbie and I don't know what to do and also I can't see my SD card when I turn on my phone.
Can u see the SD card when its in your PC? If u can, try reformatting it to fat32.

Is anyone else concerned about running out of internal memory on their tablet? I right now have about 5GB free space. Of course I have a MicroSD card in the device for all my media but since you natively can not move programs onto the SD card everything is on internal memory. I still have several apps I would like to install including some big games and I am afraid I will have no space left. I know there are 3rd party apps that will move apps to the SD card but I am not looking to root my device at this time.
What brand is it? Btw you can use PC softwares like moborobo to install the apps to the desired location like sd card. Just google for it. It is very useful.

The brand of my tablet? It is a Galaxy Note 8.
Good. Try using the software recommended earlier. Its free and works like a.charm. also, if you are familiar with using ADB, you can set the default install location to SD. This will install the app directly to sd in majority cases and will also allow you to move many apps to sd which normally don't allow moving themselves to SD. Both the methods work.without root. If you need adb and the commands, feel free to let me know and I'll post them when I am near my pc.

Please post it up. I am very interested. Thank you very very much
I only have 1.2 gigs left on internal memory.
I tried the moborobo and it only gave the option to move to sd. Not external sd which is what is being needed.
