I am guessing u need some app to increase the volume of headphones.?
If that is the case, i found this works great..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1019565
It only works on Gingerbread roms though.
All credits to the developer..

thank you for quick replay for me .. i really appreciate nayan but i try it before and it's good but it's not enough like Voodoo Control plus with ma galaxy tab
i use the function SRS enhancement it's better property for quality headphone on HTC Desire HD .. i use Beats Dr.Dre you know you do more with that
thank you again mister nayan
any another suggestion ? please
Well, i've never used voodoo control plus, so no idea about that.
For best sound quality, i just use good quality headphones, and turn on SRS. It beats all these volume mods..
If you want still want something else, try DSPManager. I tried it once, didn't like it though..
any suggestion ??

I'm guessing this doesn't fix high volume issues like I get. My in-ear headphones are way too loud at even 4 bars of volume on any AOSP ROM. This has been keeping me from using one as 2 bars is a little too low, and 3 too high..

I sadly figured that as well. That's too bad as I like CM7, but I listen to music every day for a few hours so it's pretty important for me.

Not supposed to, but why do you want this on Sammy ROM? The sound is loud enough.

I wouldn't mind more as sometimes the sound isn't loud enough.. I used to use AudioBoostSGS2 but the volume lower a bit and goes loud again everytime I increase or decrease volume.
I suppose I am a being a bit greedy for more as I loved the sound on the SGS1 with AudioBoost...

So I have my old DInc laying around, and I think I'm going to use it just as an mp3 player in my car via aux, and I was wondering what ROM you would recommend for that purpose?
I haven't been in the DInc scene in a long time so I don't know where to start. Battery life would be priority but with no radio use and a car charger don't even know if thats an issue.
What do you think?

Really any rom will do, but senseless roms are probably going to give you the best battery life. Really you could take any rom and just start stripping it down, deleting everything it will let you without messing things up, leaving only the bare essentials.

Not sure, i think a few roms had it half way working, but still not the real deal.
Yea an aosp-based ROM would probably be best in terms of battery, but if you're in your car, you probably have easy access to a charger so I wouldn't worry about the ROM too much.
Just install any ROM and use this script to kill all of the battery-sucking radios.

Factory stereo. Doesn't have any fancy eq features, but does have aux-in
I know the Inc didn't have Beats but I thought I did read it was ported over to some devices. I can definitely hear a difference with it on and off using my rezound, like i said. Just wondering though. I'll load up CM9 I guess soon as my microSD gets here.
Thanks for the tips guys!

so I'd flash this over CM7? Is that right?
I'd say Anthem is your best bet because it has battery life mods that help people get 20-50 hours on a single charge
Hello all... I was wondering if anyone here knows if the current beats mod for I9300 can be used on my I9305?
I am very happy with the sound quality of my handset but bass is a bit lacking even tried using power amp and other music players but with no luck. Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks
Why don't you try Mega Bass mod from Nexus forum. I tried it on my S3 and it worked flawlessly and I can promise you that it is much better than Beats Audio with tons of bass.

Also check the volume hack thread, which is the first mod I flash after a ROM installation for a louder speaker (also headdset performance). Even though it's a volume louders hack, I believe it's much enough for most users with a good headset (like Shure or Audio-Technica ATH-CKS90 etc...)
Hi,
I`m running the Spazedog ICS on my desire and it is really fast (appr. 2100 pts at Quadrant)
If tried JB several times and it`s always slower and laggier.
Is there a real benefit of JB?
Right now I`m using a razr i with 4.1.2.
Great phone, fast, small, well build, but without all the goodies of CM not suitable for me.
The good old desire with the big community is still hard to beat.
I used to use spazedog ICS and I now use PA 4.2.2, and its definitely faster.
Especially now that nikez has ported ion to the kernel we use, and that most active rom devs have implemented it.

Paranoid Android. There's a link in my signature.
Vijendrahs CM10.1 ROM, and nikez 4.2.2 evervolv are also quite popular. You can find them in the development section, usually on the first page. Both of these ROMs have implemented ion.

JB has improved the graphical performance and subsequently pride of HTC Desire. The 3d rendering is a lot better than the previous CM7 ROMs. I used to play several heavy games on CM7 but I was disappointed at the stuttering 3D performance. Then I gave a try to JB ROMs and viola! There was a huge difference in the quality.
Plus, I'm a huge fan of sound, and I've got very sensitive taste for audio quality. CM7 ROMs, even with the DSP equaliser weren't good enough, until I applied the BeatsAudio mod to JB ROMs. There was this huge difference in sound quality too.

Cool but ...
I was using VJ's CM 10.1 ROM for the past few months. It's really fast and improvements all around the OS, the multitude of customisations!
One major turn off was the random reboots. Can't have that while working, so went back to GB.
I :good: the rock solid reliability of GB.
Games are definitely slower though. Not much of a problem, since I rarely play games on my trusty 3 yr old HTC Desire.
:victory:
my desire on all JB's 4.2.2 roms is a a lot slower in user interface(also in quadrant score) than GB/ICS

That shows your blatant insensivity to sound.
Beats audio is nothing but money making marketing thing, in order to get the full affect of beats audio headphones, u have to use them on something that has the software installed, which is bs if u ask me and they just another set of over priced headphones. I used to have a pair of technics headphones, they were half the price and much better sound quality. Ur paying for the name imo

Probably because like JB has smooth transitions do the games work slower. On ICS transitions are laggy so the games work smoother? I dont know really, just my opinion.

Beats headphones are widely known for their bad sound quality. Even they admitted that. As for beats audio app, it is just an adjusted equalizer, so if you have one you can control, it is even better then.
For JB roms the smoothest I've found were Nikez and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368911 it's true that gingerbread has the best speed then ICS but I get the impression that the great Devs are getting close on some new roms!
Because android 2.3.3 is very old..Use The rom of VJ 4.2.2..It is a very stable rom..
I wonder if kitkat would run well on the Desire, its got the min required ram so we'll see i guess, if Nikez works his magic

Hey all,
FYI this is my first post anywhere, but I've come to Xda anytime I had a question on all things root, you guys come through!
That said I've scoured the threads and found a few post here and there but no all out threads on this specifically.
I'm currently running carbonrom 1.8 on my d2spr for the purpose of using the voodoo sound app. While the rom says it unofficially supports Voodoo sound, Voodoo sound does not support my phone.
So I've read there was a work around by flashing certain kernels. Unless you guys can recommend stable roms that take advantage of the hardware (I know my chip is no wolfson, but it's still s good chip yeah?)
Otherwise I can settle with getting a good DAC/AMP combo.
Thanks ahead of time!
*edit I only now realized I posted this on the at&t threaded! Sorry for the mistake! Still, input from you guys would be awesome!
