The problem is that letters can be seen only by half. The bottom half is cut off.

Anyone esle having this Problem?
Longer time after Booting, several Buttons on the Hardware Keyboard bring me into other apps while writing SMS for example...
The following Chracters send me directly into an app:
e -> email
s -> sms (android sms, not my standard app called "handcent")
c -> contacts
b -> browser
p -> mediaplayer
Thats kinda weird Oo I can't use my hardware keyboard to type Text, cause i jump out of my actual app all the time -.-

EDIT: Everytime after rebooting, my Keyboard works well again! But 12 hours later, i will have same problem -.-
EDIT 2 : I am running Cyanogen 7.0.3
I have the same exact problem. It's irritating! Happens about 15 or 20 minutes after rebooting.
EDIT: Currently on the CM7 nightlies. Can anyone confirm if this is just a CM7 issue or widespread?
I don't have nightly, i'm using 7.0.3 stable

Try hitting the "search" key on the keyboard. That should "unstick" it.
I had that problem yesterday. I'll repost if it comes back up.

Ok, So this is an Hardware Bug? Or keeps the Software meaning that the button is still pressed, even when he isn't ? Oo

I also have this kind of problem on my french DZ.
I've tried almost all roms on this forum, it doesn't happen on Sense roms, only on cyanogen-like roms.
I'm actually on 7.1-RC1, I've just tried the Miui.us rom and both force me to reboot to use my physical keyboard again.
I'll try to replace the files in /system/usr/keychars and keylayout with those found on sense roms, to see if it corrects it.
Any idea/workaround I could also check ?
I'm having the same trouble now on my Desire Z with the stock rom after the update to Gingerbread 2.3.3 has been rolled out.
Any idea how to get rid of it? It really is rather irritating...! ;-)
im not sure what causes it but if you hold your Search button for about 3-4 seconds the problem will go away
It's quick launch; go into application settings and clear them all out

Hi everyone. i have screen issues on my defy. it sometimes selects things by itself. for example Im writing sms and suddenly it starts to write alone when i dont touch the screen. it repeats the letter so its always in the same place. I turn off the screen and when i turn it on again its solved.
I have nordic and cm7. when i have stock foryo this didnt happen!
Does anyone knows about this?? has someone experience this?? anyone knows how to solve this???

It happened to me when I was using the Chinese Froyo 2.2.1 when the USB was connected with a slightly loose connection.
Anyways it seems to have gotten better when I flahsed it to CM 7.1 rc1 v1
Yeah! I'm having the same issue! It occurred to me that it only happens when i touch screen with greasy fingers... somehow it messes up capacitive screen!
I had this problem since i bought Defy on 2.1, 2.2, CM7, so i guess it's hardware (or my hand ) related!
I ordered screen protectors from ebay... maybe it will solve a problem... will see...
Greasy or wet fingers...but just switch off the screen and back then its fine again.

I am currently using Sebastian's Runnymede_AIO_V6.0.4.1_Special_Edition ROM on my HTC Desire.
Sometimes without any reason suddenly my phone does not respond.
When i click on power button, it will not respond, it gets completely frozen.
The only solution is to remove the battery and restart it again.
This is happening since quite sometime and very annoying I wont even realize it got frozen until i check it manually.
Any one faced this problem?
Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm having the same problems with the same rom. somtimes it works fine for days then it have a fit maby 3 ore 4 times on the same day.
if anyone have any help to offer i would be very greatfull.
I haven't used AIO but I've been here long enough to know that most users of that ROM have that issue and I don't think there is any other workaround than to use another rom.

Your hboot version? ROM version? Which data script have you installed? There might be a problem with that.

Blank Unresponsive Screen after Bluetooth

I'm using CM7.1.0-Desire and the latest Radio 5.17.05.23
I've found if I use the phone as a Bluetooth music player via my car's Stereo, the phone just goes blank after a time.
The music still plays through the car stereo though, (for at least a song) - I don't know how the streaming works, if the whole song is copied in advance or what.
I have to take the battery out to get the phone to respond to any button presses.
I had this problem on the older Radio 5.11.05.27, so upgraded and still have the issue.
Are there some logs I can look for?

It looks a lot like this. No solution has been found yet, but for me installing another sense 3.5 ROM (RSK Team (now known as Runny Rom)) has helped.

Hey all,
I have a problem with my flashlight. It blinks randomly for half a second or so and it doesn't work when I use my camera. I only noticed this problem today, not sure how long it's been happening for as I usually keep my phone in the pouch. I searched the community but couldn't find any solution for this.

I have been using CMOD 7.2 for a few months now and the phone was working just fine. I'm not sure how this problem cropped up
I just have the exact same problem whith my friends Desire. Is the LED blinking even in recovery or while phone is booting? Becase my is. I'm thinking HW problem...

Recently i opened my HOX to change the battery to a HOX+ one. I succesfully did that, but i think i lost a connection or possibly damaged something that connects my G-Sensor. Does anybody know something about this?
Second question:
Since i installed Sense 5.0, i have this weird lag with the statusbar. It drags down like 5 seconds after i made the swype. It also stays on half of the screen often. Does anybody know how to fix this??

Well as for your g sensor it is a common problem I've heard a lot these days..due to updating to sense 5
Your other problem I don't know how to fix..you can try a full wipe and reflash the rom

the g-sensor problem is a very common as I am also included in this problem , I have placed a tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420209 to help some people
to revive their sensor , I hope it will work fine for you
