NEBULAE ROOTED ROM BASED ON
OFFICIAL HTC WWE ÉCLAIR 2.1 (RUU)
***ONLY FOR GSM HERO***
Description:
This ROM is just another ROM like most others out there... Yes, I'm late in the game and it does not have much more than most ROMs but that was not the intention either. It's also not this ROM's intention to compete with any other ROMs. This is just something I did for myself (that's why you can find some unusual features) which I decided to share cause some people might like my simple and basic changes.
My work is based in two other ROMs, MoDaCo from Paul O'Brien and VillainROM from TeamVillain. I respect their work and thank them for their hard work. Some things were literally copied from their ROMs to mine, but I give credit where credit is due; if you find something that you think it was copied, that's because it probably was, but I'm not doing this to take credit for their work.
Features:
Based on Official HTC WWE Éclair 2.1 Update (RUU)
Rooted with Superuser 2.3.6.1 by ChainsDD
Missing locales from the official HTC update
en_PT, en_FI, fr_BE, fr_CH, pt_PT, nb_FI, da_FI, sv_FI
Fully deodexed for theming, hacking and extra space
Added Click'n'Drag to rearrange screens in Rosie/Sense
Long and comprehensive list of updated APNs
Added Dropbear support (SSH Server)
Added support for dalvik2cache script
Tweaked low memory management
Disabled boot animation sound
Included Linux tools:
BusyBox v1.15.3
SQLite v3.5.9
Bash v4.1
Nano v2.0.9
Included applications:
3D Gallery v1.1.30682 (Froyo port)
Removed applications:
HTC Footprints
HTC Stocks
Teeter
How to install:
Wipe everything:
Data
Dalvik-cache
Battery Stats
Rotate Settings
Flash ROM via recovery mode.
Flash Radio via recovery mode (the phone will reboot twice, do not interrupt the process at any moment).
Reboot the system once after the initial boot.
I suggest to always reinstall the radio after flashing any ROM, I've had GPS problems in the past for not doing so. Either flash the one below or the one that suits you/your network better.

It's somewhat impossible to thank every single person that contributes to the Android ROM development community. Kudos to everyone that does an amazing work and decides to share it with us.
Credits to Paul O'Brien for the missing locales (from Chunghwa 2.1 ROM), Nano and Click'n'Drag Rosie/Sense UI mod.
Credits to TeamVillain for the huge APNs list, Bash, low memory management tweak and dalvik2cache script.
That's all I can remember at the moment, sorry if I forgot something or someone important.

Patch for Nebulae ROM v0.1
NEBULAE ROM PATCH
***ONLY FOR GENERIC/DEODEX ROMS***
Description:
There were a couple of things I wanted to include in my ROM above but couldn't because of software limitations (more specifically, signatures). This patch allows that and you also have the choice to flash it or not.
This patch can probably be used on another ROMs (for the HTC Hero of course) if you like but I will not provide any support there. Just make sure the ROM is deodex or it will probably lead to unexpected results.
Features:
Removed shortcuts from Launcher:
Call History
Learn More
Phone
Search People
Settings
Setup Wizard
Removed vibration from the Calculator and Dialer apps
Fixed graphical glitches and unreadable colors in a tabbed interface
Example of original interface: image
Example of fixed interface: image
How to install:
Just flash the patch zip file like any other ROM.

Looks like a nice 2.1 ROM. Thanks for sharing.
nice rom, gj
your dates are ahead by a month, might want to check that
Very well documented. Nice work.
Might be a good idea to add the date to the title for reference.

Done... Although I don't expect to update this ROM much as I took my time to cook exactly as I wanted and testing it thoroughly. But mistakes happen all the time and you never know what more stupid bugs HTC left for us to fix.
Thank you all.
Great post and nice patch, cleans almost everything we really dont need or have in other places.
Too bad for me it doesnt have footprints as i use it a lot,but you cant satisfy everyone and as you said it was build for your needs.
Welcome aboard, hope to see more work from you.
You can easily push it back (along with the widget) to the phone if you want. Of course, only if you really find this ROM more useful than the one you're currently using, otherwise don't bother
Nazgulled,
Could you please upload the freshly new Google Maps 4.4 only? I'd like to update mine to 4.4 but it seems certain apps are missing from Market for me right now, including Shazam, LauncherPro and etc.
Please?
Nevermind, the direct download is here: http://db.tt/0Mtbc3
Finally an Official WWE rom with locales fixed! Was waiting for a en_PT option for a long time without keyboard installations and tweaks!
Will try it!
Many thanks!
wow

I have 63.18.55.06PH_6.35.15.14 radio version.

PH? Where did that one come from? I'm not sure that's newer though because PH comes before of PU and radios are normally versioned like that...
I'm not sure, I'm using 63.18.55.06PU_6.35.15.11 as that one came from the official update and haven't tested any others. The only way to tell is to keep using both for a long period of time and take some conclusions...
Found this now:

So, there's "2 new radios" right now and I have them both posted on the front page. The "PH" you're using is basically the one I posted for "orange users", which ends in 14.
Seriously, I don't know which one is better, i'm just using the first one and haven't really tested the other... If you do test both and find out the .14 is better than the .11, let me know
I have seen this .11 radio in Denmark. (use .14 myself, no probs)
On an officiel HTC update.

Think I found it on Villain's place as a new rom.
Think its working well, just don't know about battery because I'm always using the phone and charging it a lot.

Hello all.
This is my first share at the Android forums:
On my first device -- Samsung Galaxy S2 - I9100 Intl. -- I have BASH shell, so I've got used to working with it so i was missing it on my second device -- LG Nexus 4 -- the installer from the market was not working on the last one...
So I've remembered seeing here a post by nubecoder saying he compiled bash 4.2.2 for android, ang gave it a shot, but it was not working as expected on my device...
I've decided to recreate it for my Nexus 4.
All credit goes to nubecoder, I've only re-created the ZIP installer.
So, I hope someone else will enjoy nubecoder (I've tested it on my device and it is working) work remake by me.
Highlights and remarks are most welcome...
If it worth a donation, PM me and I'll give my paypal donation details (I have not done it ever, so when it will be relevant, I will...)
// would love zsh
Is this a fully functional bash with plugins and whatnot?
Also, I wish 4.3 was supported.
So this is device (nexus 4) specific?
Yes it is working on 4.3

Hello,
About ZSH, I dont know... I did not compile this BASH, I've got it from other installer -- already compiled...
You may try compiling ZSH by your self, maybe it'll work (but for this you'll need the Android NDK and compiler suitable -- mybe via CygWin??).
I don't know about plugins, but it is working on my LG Nexus 4 with android 4.3, So you may as well give it a try.
ZShaolin - free version for xda-dev
Hi there,
About ZSh (version 5 now) I've just posted a light free version of ZShaolin for the XDA-DEV forums here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47594948&postcount=7
The binary is all static (built with my own toolchain) and highly portable across ARM7 and more recent devices.
The ZShaolin full application has many more tools inside and is for sale on the Google Play market.
Hoping you find it useful, I'm happy to contribute back to this community, I've learned a lot from you guys! :^D
ciao
Hello to all HOX users,
This is my first post and probably the last post for HTC One X, I hope you like the concept. I was looking for something on this forum but eventually found out that this device doesn't has KitKat Production or I might be wrong but i literally couldn't able to find any Rom based on CM11 so i had to make this small thread.
Hope that you might like it.
*** Since i don't own One X so flash it at your own risk. Final Choice is yours only!

And there are many more ROMs, I've just give you some idea.
Previously I've been asked by the Moderators for Desire HD which Kernel Source has been used when i brought XperiaHome 4.4.2 to DHD,But sadly i wasn't able to answer because there was Aroma Installer in Chinese language, which i couldn't able to understand or further more able to Install it in my device,So due to that reason i had to take help of some of Devs in DHD forum.
So if any dev want to start new thread or help other HOX users they make take link from here and started to work on it. ROM will be Multilang so don't worry. If any correction needed then feel free to do it. I don't own the device but i do care about others.
This thread won't be close because i've attached few example of Kernel Source from above listed ROMs. So i expect HOX users might get some KitKat taste or some different taste in upcoming days.
All the ROMs made by Chinese Devs so credit goes to them, and Thanks goes in my pocket But yes,it's ready to flash ROMs. No questions with that. If you find any unnecessary app then delete by yourself, they made according their taste. So i hope no one will raise questions like "Why there are some Third-Party Apps Pre-installed".
Thanks if you like my work. Job done. Rest is upto you friends.

Lightheart 1.0 - Efficiency is key.
Hi everyone. My name is Skulldron and for those of you who do recognise me, know me as the creator of Project Pixel, another one of the greatest ways to emulate the Pixel Experience, whilst keeping all the benefits of using OneUI and its stock optimized drivers as its base. Today I'm going to be introducing something, different. Over the years of working on Touchwiz based ROMs, I've learnt the description of every little apk, every little permission, what it accepts and what it rejects, its pros and its cons. As a result of this experience, I have one of the best debloat lists out there, with each item on the debloat list, being tested, literally through trial and error for over 4 years, and it goes over every file and every partition known in the OneUI OS. This exact same debloat script was used in Project Pixel, which has recieved positive review after positive review for how efficient and how lightweight OneUI became after the debloat. Today however, I present to you Lightheart OS, a new project that I will be building myself and updating monthly (as I do own an actual Galaxy S10). Lightheart, is essentially built equal to Project Pixel, except that instead of Pixelifying and adding another gigabyte worth of apks, permissions and modules, just stops after the debloating and optimization bit. I have done something similar with the Galaxy Tab S2, and it was called Performante, but it was even more stripped on features than I would have liked myself, so today I showcase Lionheart, the Lineage OS to my Cyanogenmod.
Features:
1. Heavily Debloated System Size - The overall size of the system partition has dropped from 5.2 GB to 3.2 GB, along with RAM consumption dropping from 4.2 GB on stock, to 3.1 GB on Lightheart.
2. Heavily Debloated Product Partition - All bloat has been removed/deprecated from the Product Partition dropping its size from 592 MB to 78 MB
3. Better Battery Performance due to Efficiency - With the removal of an incredible amount of bloat, along with better performance and lesser services, you should be looking at better SOTs and better standby times.
4. Better Performance due to the Cruel Custom Kernel - The Cruel Kernel Team have been kind enough to give me permission and access to their kernel, which in itself has many optimizations, along with the allowance to achieve higher system speeds and overclockabilty via Mtweaks (Needs to be installed seperately, I will provide a link)
5. Preloaded Magisk with Cruel - Cruel Kernel comes preloaded with Magisk, all you have to do is install the Magisk Manager
6. October Patch with the promise of updates every month - As I use this rom as my own daily driver, i will update it every month to keep up with optimizations by Samsung and security patches.
7. Restored some stock Google Permissions - Some stock google framework was restored, such as the default setup wizard.
8. All Essential Samsung Features have been kept - All essential OneUI features have been kept alive, for the sole purpose of necessity.
9. Completely Deknoxed - It is covered under the debloat
Changelog:
1.0 - Initial Release
TWRP Install Instructions:
1. Download the latest available TWRP Image from Ianmcd's thread (the current supported version is 3.4.0.3 and will be linked at the bottom of the thread)
2. Download the custom VBmeta file and install 7Zip.
3. Rename the downloaded TWRP Image as recovery.img.
4. Highlight both the vbmeta.img and recovery.img, then right click while selected, 7Zip and then add to archive.
5. Once your in the 7zip interface, choose .tar and do not change any of the configurations and build the .tar file.
6. For this next bit, you'll need to download Odin 14.4 (links will be provided)
7. Open Odin, and then connect your device via USB.
8. Select AP, and then select the newly made recovery.tar.
9. Once it is loaded, press start, and when it reboots, hold the recovery combination (Power + Volume Up + Bixby) to boot into TWRP.
You have now successfully installed the latest TWRP for your S10 and can now proceed to actual install. Remember that if you are coming from stock you will need to flash the MultiDisabler, linked at the end of the thread.
Install Instructions (THIS ROM IS NOT FLASHABLE!):
1. Download Lightheart 1.0.
2. Open the zip and extract the folder.
3. Switch off your phone, and go into twrp via the button combination.
4. Make a backup of your cache (This will make the directory to TWRP's recovery system)
5. Boot back into the OS and head to where you stored Lightheart 1.0.
6. Cut the entire Lightheart Folder and move it to TWRP/BACKUPS/Random Number/
7. Now boot back into TWRP and wipe system, data, dalvik, cache.
8. Go to the restore option, and you should see Lightheart as a restorable ROM.
9. Restore Lightheart and once your done, boot into system
And thats about it for the install process. It is a bit unconventional, but I have been unable to procure or manufacture a working installer script as of this moment, so please bear with me for now.

I encourage you to ensure to provide sufficient support on XDA. Please check the telegram sticky for more info. Also since this is essentially a TWRP backup I've edited your thread title to indicate this as this should be clear from the get go. Do not re-edit that again unless you're able to have the rom be flashable. Thank you and all the best of luck with your project.
Awesome !! Love it so far. Nice performance, genshin impact is not dropping frames like on other oneui ROMs.
Keep up the good work

Hi,
I would like to use your rom if it means longer battery life. However I have no knowledge of rooting or flashing a galaxy S10 phone. I'm not afraid of the terminal but I'm afraid of loosing access to KBC mobile or Google Pay or any other app that is financially or government involved.
Is it because you say deknoxed that it will have problems with such apps or quite the opposite ?
Another question is, Can Jodin3 be used as well? I only have access to MacOS.
Forgive my English, it's not my mother language.
Kr,
Don't do anything with your phone then if you don't want to loose Google pay etc...

As long as its not G973U, it should work but I advise caution when flashing a ROM which is not the same model
So far this Rom ist great, the lack of the samsung account makes setting up some apps a bit difficult, but other than that this is awesome!
How are temperatures on this debloated rom?

Hi, this rom works with the latest bootloader?
Morning all!!
I have spent the last few days bringing over my Rom Project from N20U (which started on N10 and then spread to Tab s6) and have a Beta ready for release to a few testers that, like me - can go a while without a camera for the sake of root lol (i appreciate this is an extremely niche group right now - hopefully we see a fix ASAP)
Its a relatively simple but reasonably feature rich project based on my own personal setup and all features are working apart from (of course), Camera, CTS fix and custom wallpapers - otherwise its 100% functional.
The Rom comes in a few parts and can be considered a hybrid of both TWRP and Magisk in terms of what we flash it on. Below is an extremely high level overview (please see my N20U thread here to get a full feature list)
1 - the Master module is flashed and Rom feature choices are made here - a Firmware base convertor zip to flash in TWRP is then created and sent to /internal storage/420rom folder
2 - in twrp the Firmware Base Convertor debloats a tonne of useless carrier crap and works a few other under the hood bits - this in turn sends the Rom Module zip to the same folder above (replacing itself in the process with this third zip to flash)
3 - The rom module is then flashed in magisk and actions all the choices made in the first flash - after a reboot you have all the rom features!
Please DM me if you would like to test a bit later - I will then get everything needed to flash together for you to test a bit later.
If windows 11 devs have sorted the annoying sleep bug in build 22458 then ill upload some bits today
Iv been busy getting a few things sorted this week so apologies for the delay
We now have a TWRP and are able to root (should you feel able to do without the camera for a bit like myself)
I will be posting my Rom thread and also a detailed guide in rooting our Fold devices this evening so we can get things kicked off

For the sake of figuring out the camera situation, I have a question. Is your rom based on our stock rom?
And same kernel or modified kernel?
Having something to compare stock firmware to for the sake of learning kernels would be substantial to help

Its not your standard TWRP flashable Rom zip as such and we just use the stock kernel at the moment - this will be until my teammate can make one for us
the AP file ill provide contains TWRP and the FSTAB fix to disable encryption but only the stock boot.img for now
all features on my magisk rom are working apart from custom wallpapers thankfully so good enough for beta release
Edit, oh and camera lol
