Just got a new slim case!

Just got this case recently from...

Looks nice.. Just wish it protected more

Looks like a crappier and more expensive Mesh Case

I have the same case as well as the mesh case. I prefer this one due to the mesh case allows too much dust to settle inside the holes of the mesh case. They are both made with high quality. But too each its own.

I didn't really like how the mesh case looked =[...so i decided to get this one instead even if it cost more...it protects my baby to an extent...sall that matters =p

From the picture, it looks exactly the same. If it gets any thinner than that, you might as well use toilet paper lol.

EVo custom back cover?

Are there any sites out there where you can buy like custom back covers for the EVO? Like with a design or different colors or anything?
Im not talking about a rubber case to go over the phone, im talking about the plastic back cover.

Interesting the Aluminum case and TPU alike look rather well on the device! BUT I have never used a bumper, only TPU cases; so does anyone know if this would supply sufficient protection from drop damage? I imagine the Aluminum would make the phone more susceptible to cracked screens from a drop but IDK. Thanks and subbed.

Very interesting.. going to purchase a set as well of the TPU ones and see how that is. I'm still loving the Diztronic, but it's starting to lift up my screen protector in two of the corners and it's becoming slightly annoying having to lift up the lip of the case and push the protector back down.

A set of the aluminum ones? It only comes as a single... but keep us updated!

Sorry, I meant to say that I, as well, will also be purchasing a set of the TPU ones.

Probably just as well as the TPU ones.. And the TPU ones wont scratch your case up.. that's what I would be worried about with the Aluminum one.

The problem is that I have honestly never used a bumper. I had a TPU case for my
S2 but I never dropped it *knocks on wood* so idk how well bumpers protect from fall damage.

I would think it would provide as must fall protection as a Tpu case of equal thickness and I know for the 3 weeks I had an iPhone the bumper on it seemed to work well

lol crap.. I didn't even notice that! Oh well, 5 for $10, is pretty nice and I'm only going to try them out anyway.

Anyone know if there is a chance of getting bumpers made for the One? This phone looks too good to cover up but it would be nice to have minimal protection.

I would expect to see the Poetic Borderline from Poetic. They had it for the N4.

The poetic borderline and atmosphere cases are under $10 on Amazon

The borderline case looks a bit "stupid," especially on the top and bottom. The atmosphere in the other hand, actually looks really good. So good, I already ordered one.

hmm thats certainly a much more attractive option.
is the back just clear plastic though? why is the upper right one larger, there's a microphone there isnt there?
the only things that put me off getting a case is that a) the device gets bigger and b) it no longer fits into docks etc.

Case is completely clear except for the sides. And great the hole on the top right is bigger because if the Mic. As far as adding bulk, the case not as thick as you might think. I've seen these cases on the iPhone and it looks really good. I like the fact that its clear and the look of the phone is retained. Personally I just use a case when I'm not home or at work.

If you were to accidentally drop the phone while it had one of those Poetic Borderline cases on it, and it landed flat on its back, would the first thing to hit the floor be part of the bumper or part of the phone?

Of course bumper, check the design you'll see it clearly.
Bumper cases are nice but HTC's own flip case will look classy.

dont be so sure about the flip case
first impressions from those who have them are bad - shame really as I am getting one for free and the stand aspect is really nice.
ill be going with my usual very low profile case w/ screen protector combo and then after maybe 6 months take the case off!

The flip case will serve a purpose but I wouldn't have it for everyday use, its basically thick card with microfibre lining.

It's anything but clear in the photos that I've seen. On most phones bumpers certainly will protect the phone if it's dropped on its back, but most phones don't have anywhere near as much curvature on the back of the case as the One has - a bumper would have to stick out a long way at the edge in order to protect the middle.

TPU Bumper?

So I've been looking for a TPU bumper for a while, and all I've seen are normal cases which have a back. I'm looking for one thats just a bumper and without a back. currently i have an aluminum bumper on my OPO but i dont like it much because of the sharp corners and slipperiness.
Anyone know of any tpu bumpers out there?

this isnt a bumper though. its a case with a clear back. plus according to reviews, theres a gap between the lip and the bezel of the device which doesnt look that great, and the back clear plastic scratches really easily :/

I know its not a true bumper im saying its the closest thing we got lol

I think there are no TPU bumpers available because they do not hold to the edge without slipping often. Just imagine you put a rubber band around the edge of the phone and taking it in and out of your pocket.

this is unfortunate. i think it is possible to make one though. the nexus 4 has a bumper and its completely round lol. plus rhinoshield had a model for it, they just never went through with making it.

I have been looking for one as well. I thought about getting that Orzly Fusion mentioned earlier in the thread and seeing if I could separate the back from it. I love the feel of my sandstone back, and don't want to cover it.

Looks like that might work. I think if you used a dremel cutting wheel and left a little of the clear lip around the back it might work really well.

I have one and you should be able to do that, however, it does seem like the back would be loose which means you might have to either cut the plastic from the outer edge which can be a hard job and leave some plastic left on the inside to cover the slack or fill in the slack with something else, either way it is achievable but you do risk losing £10

I don't think anything exists that is a bumper case that isn't made out of some kind of metal.

There are quite a few metal bumper case for OPO on Ebay and and Indian Ecommerce site flipkart, but I don't want a metal one.
