Someone please help.

Hi people,
I don't know if I'm just lost or that Htc Desire doesn't have any Arabic support still?
My question is is there any ROM out there with full Arabic/Urdu support?
E.g,
Leedroid
Baadnewz
CM
Oxygen
I cant seem to find any ROM with Arabic apart from the ones on Arabic Sites and they aren't yet stable and have bugs.
Someone show me the way forward recommend me a ROM or how to add Arabic to any of these roms.
Your help will be very much appreciated.

i have installed Leedroid v2.3d and it seems a very good rom, first time using Leedroid, but im having a problem regarding Arabic language, letters are separated and very hard to read, i will be grateful if someone could offer a solution for that, Arabic language is required for my business and it's making me some problems.

anyone who needs to use this ROM but doesnt want to use RUU, here is a Rooted ROM, its stock like nothing added or removed.

Actually I saw the RCMixHD works with Arabic language, but you should flash a .zip flile... keep looking in that thread (I don't remember which one).
Oxygen? Not compelete, I think.

yes thats the way to flash but i recommend a nandroid backup first just to insure your safety

Lol,i have nothing to backup..
Tried flashing it on Baadnewz's ROM But it gets stuck at boot screen and goes no further.... jumped back into recovery and reinstalling ROM now.
shouldn't it work on both ROM's because they are both based on DHD ports?

Try RCSMixHD. It should work on it + for me it has less lags than baadnwz.

Switched from Baadnewz to RCSMIX HD ,Got Arabic working on both of them, the version that was on the threads was for the older base.

NAND Kernel Open Failed. Did I do something wrong? I followed Directions to the letter. I didn't Backup before flash, oh well no big deal. any Help with what I may have done wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Good to see I am not the only one with problem. At least this means it is less likey I made a mistake. Going to flash back to motos rom for the time being.

ok so the kernel problem should definitally be fixed now,
its also a lot faster now as well

Does this ROM work on EU HD2's?I've tried Motoman and Imilka's Glacier ROM's but wifi showed up as "ERROR"?​

i dont know if this will work on the 512 leo or not. all you can do is try it and see. i would imagine you need to edit the cwm partition layout and reflash it, 300mb system should be enough. as for wifi i dont know why that wouldnt work but i dont have a 512 leo to test and find out.

Nope I still get the same open Kernel error. Anyone else still getting the Open kernel error? Hold up, I think I DLed the wrong file going to download version 1.1.2 and see if that works.

It's just almost Pure stock except:
Rooted with my customized version of Superuser (required until ChainsDD releases a version with my patches).
Deodexed with moderate compression throughout.
Busybox installed in /system/xbin.
Added large APNS list to /system/etc.

Hi Guys! I have a short question concerning this ROM and Superuser
I used the 1.34 OTA Stock Sense ROM (right out of the box) and rooted my device with the HTC Vision Wiki tutorial. Everything worked fine.
Then "updated" to this ROM here and now my Superuser app keeps quitting as soon as I start the app.
I can't remove or update it (although there seems to be an update via Applanet).
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Can you capture and post a logcat of the failure occurring?

If I tried to use logcat on my device with Terminal Emulator and I get this error message:
"Unable to open log device /dev/log/main : Permission denied"
Does it mean I'm no longer on S-Off and due to that Superuser is quitting all the time?

does any1 have a release note for this HTC rom?

Does this make you lose all your data?
Just curious as its official if its possible to flash without losing everything (again)...

can I flash this to my Rooted G2 with Engineering SPL and Clock work?
Or does the kernel need changing and stuff?

long as you are rooted/s-off you can flash this rom, you can also use any of the kernels from here: http://files.virtuousrom.com/vision/kernels/virtuous/2.x/ standard is the recommended =)

I want to try some sense apps, but not a full sense rom. Can I take these and push them to my CM7?

In short, no. Sense apps need the sense framework.
@Mnemoch Yes. If you're coming from another Sense ROM you can flash this without wiping - I flashed this over the official 1.72 last night and then added the standard OC kernel for Virtuous. It's smooth as butter

Just do a full wipe in recovery and flash an other ROM.
You can also try to do a full wipe and flash this ROM again. Must simply work...

Sorry - wasnt too precise. I'm running RUU version of this one. My phone just came back from repair and they've (T-mobile UK) of course upgraded it to the latest available version which happens to be this one.

When I tried the Stock-upgraded-version I could root it with Universal Androot, then copy a custom recovery.img to my sdcard and go into terminal or ADB and type:
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
The recovery.img-part can be replaced with wherever you placed the image file, and whatever you named the file..
Then boot into recovery: Turn off -> Press&Hold Home and turn on -> Flash whatever ROM and get on with my phone
In Denmark however, the carriers don't lock the phones, so I don't need a goldcard..

Im having trouble going into recovery mode. i hold power and home but my phone stays on the t mobile start up screen.
Any solution????

I have tried both. At Villan rom I had problems with app2sd (when I installed over 50 apps it took all the phones memory and almost nothing at ext. sd partition) so I've switched back to Ele..
edit: + battery life seems to be better on ele rom..
Conclusion: On villain rom dalvik cache is on the phone and it's faster if you have slow sd card.
On other hand, if you have a fast sd card and a lot of applications, use Ele's rom.

No luck for me. It boots, but to a dead touchscreen where I can't unlock.
The only Rom that works with my wfs is insink71's. No other Rom or kernel has ever worked...... I'd really like to get a working oc kernel... I have unlocked bl, s-off, ota up to date. I've searched for months now, but still not successsful. I guess I'll keep looking....

Oh okay. So the ROM works great but I have a question. I am receiving double texts from multiple people on different networks. Is it the ROM (should I reflash again?), the network, or where I am located? I hope to get this resolved soon because it is pretty annoying lol

Working on an update. All the features you love of this bugless rom with a new odexed and deodexed download including the fmradio app fixed and small improvements.

heres deodexed 2.1 with major updates including libs. Very smooth very nice.
You will need to clear out the home screen yourself if theres something you dont want, but decarrierized and nothing has been lost in the update. Please do full wipe

Flashing instructions? I have been flashing my SGS2 all night (tried 4 ROMS). I know the WFS is a bit different. Partitioning? Data2sd or the other one? Thanks.

Go to recovery and use my superwipe (can be found on the blueridge index or elsewhere here in this area) then select the zip and flash it. Boot, and your all done

If you are s-off, flashing the recovery is no big deal... Just flash it as you always have (I think). If you are s-on, it's a bit harder... I think I went to htcdev again and unlocked (the unlock.key I had in my adb folder failed), then I flashed the PG76IMG.zip attaced, then I flashed Heritz root.zip. All you really need though is the recovery to flash this ROM though, and thus attached. (You flash this by putting at root of SD card and rebooting to hboot)
