Haven't seen this posted or it may be in the middle of another thread but, I just got this email from mobile fun saying:
- Genuine Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 Kick Stand Case - Black (http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/preorder/28953.htm)
We have just been told by Samsung this item will no longer be made due to a tooling issue.
Noticed on the page that the item was labelled discontinued a few days ago but not sure why. Shame though, I would have liked a manufacturer kickstand case.
They put it at discontinued until the item becomes available. Have u checked momax extended battery +stand for samsung galaxy s.
I mailed them and they said they are releasing it soon in a month or so. So hold your horses until you see one from them.

So I wonder if companies might start producing replacement battery covers for the Vibrant and Galaxy S? It seems that since the Vibrant is exactly the same size as the international Galaxy S they would be compatible if they existed. Given a major complaint about the phone is the cheap plastic feeling you'd think there would be a nice market for more premium battery covers. Sure one could just put on a case but for those who like their phone as slim as possible this might be a good option. Hopefully if enough people agree here some company will see there is demand and produce them.
check the link to the samsung accessories page in a thread a few posts down - samsung offers them for quite a few of the earlier high end models, including ones for extended life 2400 mAh batteries, so there's no reason they won't for the Vibrant or i9000

thats not original.
looking in the photo, you can see the number id engraved in section 1, all original is engraved in the section 2, and many member who also bought the metalic look finished cover earlier have noticed that all the connection areas were different, also had the engraved at the top and not bottom, i'm sure this cover came from the same place but they put the connection to the right place this time.
and why would google make a white cover if there isn't a white galaxy nexus, i'm not saying that a white wont come in the near future, but shouldn't a white nexus surface first before the cover.
Bought this like 5 days ago at a bell store, paid $40 and its out. Store says not returns and I threw my recipet anyways
Will Samsung exchange it?
I might suggest reaching out to Samsung via Customer Service, Facebook and/or Twitter. I've had marginal success using these methods in the past to make some wrongs, right.
My corner is wearing

The store can reproduce the receipt off of your account history. What's there excuse for not allowing the return? It's defective after all. The thing is that the store managers are getting rated on returns and are making their employees aggressively refuse them. I'd go back to the store and demand an exchange for a clearly defective product.

The flip covers looked like it would wear easily. Good thing I didn't buy one.
I actually bought that very case and returned it although my reasoning was different. I simply didn't like it. Looks great but makes operating it one handed impossible, never dropped a phone so many times in my life trying to one handed flip the case open and then hit the side power button.
I bought the same case for my note and after a week the corner started coming apart. I took it back to at&t store and returned it without any problems. I learned and didn't get it for my s3. That flip case is not durable at all!

Man I fell in love with those flip cases when I first saw them. Then I read through multiple reviews from people with the same issues (defects and awkwardness during use).
I have one too, no problems at all yet and had phone just about 3 weeks now. we shall see.
plan to pick up a bumper case also as using the phone one handed with this flip case is definitely an issue.
It does a great job of protecting the phone on the other hand!
I just got off the Poetic Atmosphere Case website. They posted this Update:
We are aware the issue of IR Blaster is being blocked. Update version will be released and ship on May 13th. on the official site so I have no doubt that the ones shipped out from Amazon will be the same and if they aren't Amazon is great at sending out the replacements to your order for free if the manufacturer messes up.

I was waiting almost a month for this case after pre-ordering it from Amazon UK. I was drawn by what looked to be a good design that complemented the aesthetics of the phone. However, decided to cancel my order last week, when Poetic missed their estimated dispatch date. The OP's post explains why Poetic seem to be repeatedly pushing back their 'stock expected' date.
One question I have is...How can a case designer mistakenly overlook the IR blaster when it functions as a vital power button too?
Ended up buying an Otterbox Commuter. Pleased with it.
Currently interchangeably using HTC One, BBZ10 and Note 2

They overlooked the IR function, not the power button itself. The current design is opaque over the power button but works just fine as a power button. The new version will either have a cutout for the power button or have a clear button so the IR can pass through. I am hoping for the latter, but either way should be good.
ordered one a few days ago, they changed the date to may 13th as well.
wonder what they are doing with the cases they have already made, i would be willing to buy some for cheap as
i never use the ir blaster.

I had one for my iPhone 5. The case is pretty nice and holds up well, but it's a pain in the ass to take off. The only thing that bothered me is the bottom lip at the bottom of the screen is a little flimsy. Might just have been an i5 issue, not sure, but other than that it's a solid case.
Anyone know how the white clear one looks on the silver version?

i want to buy one but they pushed back the release date
That's because of the infrared interface.
The shipped some cases with blocked ir port and some reviews got bad.
Now they'll change the production process and ship new cases.
But for me it's ok, I don't use that port and for a review it's enough to show.
My poetic case from Amazon got shipped today.
The pictures of the case I'm seeing on Amazon show the screen running Sense 4.
That makes me feel wishful for some reason.

Same here, I'm betting its not the revised version but oh we'll I don't use the phone as a remote and for 10 bux on amazon if I like it ill just order the revised version in a different color.

im in the uk and it now seems that the case is no longer available on Amazon
Guess its due to the revised version being sorted, really wanted this case but got fed up waiting because of the dates kept changing and now its not there at all
mine was just delivered and included was a note stating the power button being covered and that the revised version would be released may 13th and that they would automatically send the updated version to everyone who recieved the original design. defiantly a nice case, will be using it in the evenings and weekends when im out and about instead of the otterbox i have for the work week.
I ordered on April 5, and was just delivered today. Same as the previous post, a note came with it. See image. English grammar doesn't appear to be their specialty! But definitely glad to hear I'll be getting another in the coming weeks.
The version that I received is white. Looks very clean and consistent with the silver/white look of the phone.

So I'm tracking my Note 2 that I ordered and it's suppose to arrive tomorrow. I want to buy a white Samsung flip cover to match it and offer some screen protection while it's in my pocket. When shopping online for one though, I'm seeing some descriptions saying for the international version, some for AT&T/T-Mobile, and some for Sprint/Verizon. Is there a physical difference between these models, because I didn't think there was? Just wanted to check with you guys before spending money on something I won't be able to use.
Also, does any company make a belt clip holster to carry the phone when it's not in a case? I have 3 different Seidio holsters for my Evo LTE. 1 for a Commuter case, 1 for a TPU case, and 1 that holds the phone when naked (which is how I carry it 95% of the time). I'd really like to get a holster to hold my Note 2 when it's naked, as that's how I plan to carry it most of the time as well. I'm 6'2" 210lbs, so I'm not worried about it looking funny or too big on my hip. Thanks for any help guys, and I will be hitting the Thanks button for all helpful replies!!

There shouldn't be any physical differences like for instance the zero lemon battery will fit on any of the note 2. Same thing with cases. Only difference is in the phone are software, some hardware.

Awesome, I really appreciate the reply!! Guess I'm gonna order me a Samsung flip case\cover now!
My Note 2 actually came in the mail today, 1 day earlier than I expected! Just got off the phone with Sprint and took my Evo LTE off of my line and added the Note 2!! Awesome first thoughts!! This is easily my favorite Android phone for straight out of the box impressions! Usually buy phones on release day(6 HTC phones over the last 6 years) and have to wait a week before any root methods are released. That said, I think I'm actually gonna use my Note 2 stock for the rest of today and tomorrow! Absolutely impressed with this phone! Haven't bought a Samsung device in about 7 years, but I think I'm gonna be sticking with Samsung for a while now!

I have the holster case from Seidio. Works on my phone with other minimal cases as well. I haven't tried it naked though.
Their is only one physical difference as far as I know. The Korean models have an antenna on the upper left of the phone. Some cases will have a small cutout in that section to allow the TV antenna to extend. Everything fits and inter changes fine though.
