UPGRADING HTC HERMES aka. HTC TYTN aka. SPV 3900 etc...

Hello Community!
i got a few questions about upgrading my HTC.
is there any way to install a new rom without the included costum programms?
my rom version at the moment is ; 3.54.166.3/rom date is 07/19/07
i`ve seen a few threads wit selfmade aka. costum cooked roms...
can anyone help me find the right rom upgrade,but without all other programms...just the rom update plz...btw: i dont have any idea how this works...iam a little noob in this thing.
would be very thankful if anyone could explain to me how this works!

thank you for the information...but i dunno wich roms i should use...i dont wanna kill my phone...and is it possible to play pda games on pocket pc? do i need emulator or converter programms???

if your're afraid of "killing" your phone, then spend some time reading the stickies in the hermes section, and also the wiki. all the information you need to safely upgrade your device is readily available
and wth do you mean by pda games?

WM6.1 on HP6828 + Importing Certificates?

Hi all, thanks very much for the support here, an amazing wealth of information, and brilliant technical minds to create these firmwares that HP just cannot bring us! Well done!
I have one question, I'm running WM6.1 on my HP 6828 courtesy of the geniuses here on this forum, however appear to be unable to import any certificates. I just get an error that "certificates were not Successfully added. Please restart the device and try again"
However, no amount of rebooting will allow me to import these certificates. Does anyone know if this is a bug in a particular version of the WM61 port for the HP6828, and if so, is there a newer version or work-around?

Customizing & Editing Extended ROMs (WM6.1)

Hi Friends,
I've been feverishly searching the forum on this topic, only to find various versions of EXT ROM editing steps and links to several different kitchens. Before owning Gene 100, i'd an XDA II for which i'd no trouble in customizing EXTROMs (wm2003).
I've a Gene and this is what i am trying to achieve with the new WM6.1 ROMs:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Extracting EXTROM from the .nbh file (Released ROM)
2. Unlock/ Unhide the EXTROM contents for Editing
3. Locking and Recompilation of the desired ROM, ready to be flashed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been searching the forum for many days and trying to edit EXTROM both on my PC and PPC, with no success. Easy steps or direct link/s would greatly assist.
Appreciate the able help and all responses!

Hi Folks,
New to the forum, means that I am not too familiar with the operation.
i carry a HTC Touch Pro2 (T-Mobile) WM 6.1, I need to upgrade to WM6.5, besides the office prog comes up in a strange/unidentified language, so thats of no use to me.
I need both upgrades, if you can be of assistance please indicate.
Greatly appreciated, will also consider a donation.
