I always use smart keyboard pro(the best), when I reboot the phone my selected keyboard selection is lost, when the phone comes back up I either have the HTC keyboard or the Android GB keyboard. Anyone else having this issue?

I've bought a Desire Z a few days ago and it's been working fine so far.
However I just tried to calibrate the soft keyboard and when I slide out the hardware keyboard now the soft keyboard opens
I've tried removing the calibration profile but it still opens and I also can't close the soft keyboard.
If I close the hardware keyboard the soft keyboard also closes again.
I haven't got the chance to root it so the phone is comletely stock, I've only installed some apps.
I hope you guys can help me with my new phone
Edit: Weirdly, the problem was solved by deleting the user dictionary
I don't see how those can be related but since restarting and removing the calibration profile didn't work I tried it and it doesn't open anymore

Hi, all..
I find that the android keyboard starts to break after a few days without a restart when I'm using either the DevNull or Oxygen rom. (Currently on DevNull 1.0.3 but I have tried several versions and several Oxygen versions.)
Things that start breaking:
The "symbol" key in the bottom left corner becomes really, really slow - you wait about 10 seconds for the keys to change.
The orientation sesor detects that you've rotate the phone but the keyboard doesn't change for several seconds. (It hangs and then changes)
Sometimes the keyboard isn't sized properly after an orientation change.
Sometimes apps crash while waiting for an orientation change.
A restart usually fixes the problem for a while.
Has anyone else seen this? Any fixes?
Hi all,
Got the reflex ROM installed but am having problems with changing the keyboard. I installed SwiftKey and all works fine, but when i reset my phone it reverts back to the stock keyboard everytime...I also tryed getting the GB keyboard off the market but it wont even allow this to run.
Any ideas...?
Cheers.
With resetting your phone, your set the rom the state from which out comes. All settings will be default. And the default keyboard setting is the android keyboard. So there isn't any issue, it's the normal way.

I'm not sure if it is because this phone is second hand or if there is a software issue inside this Android flash, but when I bought the phone it was on stock Android 2.2.1 and had been factory reset as expected. However after using the phones features for half a day or so things started deteriorating (for example the settings app force closed), to combat this I did another factory reset and again things were still force closing, so I did yet another. Everything from this seems fine except now if I'm playing music through the stock player it appears after so long it force closes and won't work until the phone is restarted. When I get home I'll be flashing CM7 but I'm wondering what the problem could be. Any ideas?

So I updated my Verizon GNEX to 4.2.2 yesterday and I feel like the OTA did a bad install. Prior to the update I had no keyboard issues but now whenever I open the keyboard to use it (stock keyboard) it repeatedly slides in and out of view without touching the screen at all or while im typing which is even more annoying. If I switch to a custom keyboard (like swiftkey) it does the same, only instead of slidiing in and out of view it will rapidly flash in and out of view. I would really like to keep my phone stock. Everything else works fine. Its just this one issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW: I've already tried a factory reset, going to the stock keyboard app and clearling data, cache, force stopping and disabling. None of it has solved the issue.
