Which do you guys think I should go with?? Is the rubber on these cases attract dirt like the otterboxes do?? Or is it more of a silicone material??
I don't really see any dirt get on my active extended case. And that's becuase it goes on my belt all day. I work out doors alot.

Hey everyone.. I'm wondering if anyone has seen a nice money clip or credit card holder case?
Or aside from that - any ultra-thin silicone case? I get that the case has to stick out a bit on the sides to latch on, but all the cases I have seen have almost doubled the thickness of the phone.
Thanks for your help.

Try Zagg's Invisible Shield it's got heavy duty protection and it adds the thickness of a piece of paper. If I can get some money for it I'm gonna get one and put my thick case on top of it (for grip).
I've got a Zagg on the screen, but I'm looking for something to provide some protection for the rest of it.

They have a full-body version that covers the entire phone not just the screen.
This is by far the best case I have ever used! Its a tough tpu case with a poly band. The bands come in lots of colors and the fit and finish is very good. As a side note I had to cut the little nubs off behind the volume button and power button because it made them too sensitive. Just did a quick little shave with a razor blade and its perfect! Also come with a ultra clear nano screen protector. Which is amazing and easy to install as well. Cost was $30.00 but well worth it. As a bonus it also fits in my shell holster belt clip. I'm not a pocket guy. Lol

Can you provide a link to the shell holster clip ? Also do you know if the seidio surface holster fits or the larger seidio active holser ? anyone
They got the right idea but.... Ugly color combos.
Ditto on wanting a link to the holster. I'd prefer a vertical pouch, but might have to settle for a clip.
the case itself (grey part) is not silicone, right? Its a hard plastic?

Will this case protect the phone if dropped from waist on concrete ?
Anyway actually drop there phones yet?
I am trying to find for a nice hard case, but for me the option to wear the phone on the belt is important. So I am looking for something slimmer than the Otterbox Defender but with more or less the same functionality. I saw a lot of hard cases around and still non offers the combination of a case and a belt clip (other than the Defender - I had it for a couple of days and it is fat to bulky for my taste)
So I am opened for suggestions - please share your information. Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I think you can try some metal case. But the finishing of the metal case on the market can be terrible. Don't try those case listed on EBAY. They are cheap but bad. Thick metal layer and poor finishing. Also they are not as hard as the metal you are used to know.

Thanks for the answer - in my opinion the metal cases do not provide the necessary protection - you need a soft plastic part to absorb the shock of a fall and a hard one to take the initial blow
And the hybrid cases provide really nice protection - but most of them are too bulky. And a belt clip is an important part as well
Here is a case that fits your description. Had one on my inspire for a while And liked it.

Thank you for the reply. Its a nice case, but I don't think it comes with a belt clip
The Seidio cases offer what you're looking for. If you don't like the Surface, the Active series would better suit your needs since has the softer cover and the harder shell as well as a holster. There's also a version that comes with a metal kickstand

I've had this one for about a month now. Great combination of hard case with rubber to absorb shock with kickstand am holster.

It does have a holster, if you look around you will find it.
Edit: here check it out....

I had the same case for the s2. Ive been through 2 of them in a months time. The clip will snap off if there is any kind of a harder bump while clipped onto your belt. I would pass on it. Spend a little more money for a nicer case that wont break on ya right away.
Thank you all for the suggestions and comments. So I think I will go in the direction of Seidio - does anyone know the dimensions of the active and the surface cases?
How much bigger is the active case?
I was unable to find the dimensions on the web page
I use this holster http://www.niteize.com/product/Clip-Case-Cargo-Tall.asp and this case http://www.incipio.com/Samsung-Gala...ualPro-Hard-Shell-Case-with-Silicone-Core.asp. The case is thin but protective and the holster is tough and protects the phone.

Im using a platinum series case from best buy. Hard case low profile and came with a belt clip holster. Picked it up at Best Buy.

You can? A nice tight fit? I've heard that the Commuter case is slippery. Is it?

Fits perfect with the screen facing inwards. Its a tad too slippery ibdeed.

I had the Seidio surface from Best Buy but 1) It was very slick and would slip out of your hands 2) Didn't have a kickstand. I went with the Seidio active from Versio Mobile.Com and couldn't be happier. It is a 2 part case, isn't that much bigger, or heavier and has the kickstand. Also the entire phone is covered where as with the surface case it didn't. Additionally the cut out for the MICRO/MHL plug is bigger on the active which will enable you to use more charging cables. The hole on the surface case only allowed me to use the Samsung cable.

I paid 38 shipped... not sure why they want 60 now only 3 weeks later...
Thank you all for the replies - I decided to gather all the alternatives in the firs post,so that i can be helpful to other people, looking for similar combination
so i hear zagg is not way to go....after many forums searches i still cant find what really covers the entire phone and a lot of the threads are dated
anyone have current info on what does? and what is the best? if anyone has pics id appreciate it
also, are all of these thin enough to fit in the car dock? it looks like carbon fiber ones might be too bulky
Seidio offer a two piece solution that I still uses from time to time. I have the plastic kickstand version (before they went with the metal setup). Works well while being as slim as can be.
EDIT. I'm talking about the extended case version.
I'm also using a GNEX right now and I do have a Seidio case with the plastic kickstand. I love the case as well.
I use Platinum Series Deluxe.
Available at Best Buy. It's 3 pieces in the case itself, and then has a holster.
It's a plastic/rubber sleeve, then you put a silicone cover over that, and then you top off the silicone with a hard plastic cover that secures it all down.
Much better than otterbox, in my opinion.
However, a screen protector will be needed.
Covers all buttons, leaves the kick stand available, covers the charging port but has a way to fold it over so your phone can be charged with the case on, covers the headphone jack with a way to fold it over and access it with the case on, even covers the camera lense and also has a built in flap door that you can easily pull back to use your camera.
I recommend this case to anyone.
No more bulky than an otterbox either.

Ditto! Any one have any luck on protection without a case? I'm unable to find one that doesn't make the phone bulky.
Only thing about the 3 piece seidio case I didn't Like was that the 2 pieces that slide over the phone causes the screen protector to move too .. letting air bubbles get in.. dirt too

sieltst since
Just carry it naked--mine has survived over two years in a pocket with car keys, and used Tbolts are like fifty bucks on Craigslist.
I got a flip cover for my S3 which I was given from my job. The phone is a bit large and uncomfortable to carry in my pockets all day, so I'd like to get a belt clip for it. Besides the generic universal belt pouches are there any other options that are compatible with the flip cover, or would it make more sense to just replace the flip cover? The phone already has a screen protector on it, so I'm not concerned with that.
The seidio surface holster. Or if the flip case adds bulk then the seidio active holster.
