sorry guys to bother you.but is it different from you?what should I keep in mind to root it or upgrading Rom or radio?is it different from other desire hd?plz help a little
Orange desire hd is not at all different unless it is carrier locked

siddharth singh is correct. Other than an Orange logo on the back, It's the same as all the DHD's in circulation. There are 2 different types of LCD, but even then there is no real difference.

Since most of you are from outside of the United States I can't find an answer to my question.
So I have a SLCD screen on my HTC Desire and I see some pink streaks on the screen. I was reading the other thread about the AMOLED screen. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem? If so can you email me. Thanks

Go Desire!
Yeah, the phone actually increased its value. Great xda support too.
People are amazed at what we can do.

Hell yeah I hope this and ofcourse our passion for the device here at XDA will send a strong message to HTC to update us with new Sense and Gingerbread and even further!

I absolutely agree with Techradar. It is an incredible device, especial the one with the AMOLED screen - which I just happen to own of course! After seeing mine, two of my friends who are die-hard Nokia+symbian fanatics saw the light and now have Desires as well!

Yeah, I think for the most part, this will be a poll on who is in the US, and who is elsewhere. Aside from the small number of people in the US (like myself) that bought Canada Bell Desire Z's to work on AT&T.
Desire Z for me

Hi all,
I have been using a HTC Desire Z. I was wondering if it is a worthy upgrade to the One X? My main dislikes are the non removable battery and no micro SD card. Is there other features would convince me to get this device?

U can upgrade to One X as it has all the good features like TEGRA 3, Quad Core, Good Battery Life, Good Performance as compared to many other phone as I've seen the Benchmark Results
Its a good phone for Entertainment, Gaming, Socialising, Busines & Everything that wherever U go u wont feel like ( O i'm missing this feature or.... hmmm).
Nothing special about this phone.

I agree that theres nothing particularly SPECIAL about this phone but it IS a REALLY nice phone none the less, so i'd definately upgrade (oh wait, i already did! ).

It looks good and feels good in the had but im afraid it breaks easily+if it wasnt for our devs this phone would lag like as if it was htc inspire. Is just annoying ow htc doesnt care at all and the funny thing is the way how they address the issues, instead of admitting their fault and trying to fix things they act like as if they are a alreadg highly established brand that is a leading supplier in the industry and no matter what they do still customers will buy their phone but truth is that customers might buy their phone once but when they see they got screwed because their quad core phone performs like a normal phone and pieces start to fall slowly then they go to samsung which btw is way much more dev friendly

Do we need another of these threads? If everyone was too lazy to search and read, we would have thousands of threads like this.

Define "special" in the context of a phone. It has the best screen out there, the CPU for which all the best games are optimized, the best UI OEMs ever made, build quality is superb, battery lasts for 5 hours when watching movies... I guess you thought it will also do your laundry and now you are disappointed of it not being that "special".
To OP: I came from Desire HD which was referred as the "big brother" of the Z. I am really happy with my purchase. Though having ICS with sense 4 on the DHD, the difference in the screen and the overall experience is amazing. That's all I can tell you.

In 1 word: ABSOLUTELY
In more words: Your issues with non removable battery and no micro SD card are irrelevant, cuase it has excellent battery (will get even better with SW updates) & 32 GB onboard + 25GB Dropbox + SKYDRIVE + GoogleDrive. And the phone has some CLASS. Definitely UPGRADE.
Well thing is 3G in Australia isn't very good and I do believe that storage will be in the cloud in the future. I personally have stopped using the Sense UI since its so bloated.

I would like to know if this phone is hard to permanent root?
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
Easy peasy. You unlock it via HTCDev. But just for the Tegra model. The US version from AT&T is a world of hurt.

I'm curious as to why everyone is so willing to use HTC dev to unlock their bootloader as opposed to wait/find for third-party solutions that don't compromise your rights to solid hardware?
Sent from my Incredible S using Tapatalk 2
Because I can't wait and so far I have no problem with Htc Centre for warranty claims for both my One V and there is no problem yet for my One X to send in to Htc Centre.
Boredem?
Like anything if you change your suspension on a car it invalidates some warranty . I did it because I wanted to enjoy my new one x. Y wait if something is already there.

This way is a fair contract between HTC and the user. That´s why i prefer HTC Dev. I know about the risks. If one rom damages my device, i have to take responsibility, like for all, i´ve decided in my life. I won´t hide me behind a bush
I unlocked with htcdev because my phones insured, if anything goes wrong I'll just make a claim saying I've lost it
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Well, why not right? They already gave us one free step which can also be reverted.
Typed with XDA Premium on OneX
I have a constant need to mod every thing I own.

Because my phone is from 3UK, so was only one choice to use HTC Dev and I unlocked bootloader. For me it was very easy and simple task.
