Would the Evo speaker grille work over the Tbolt speaker? I liked the red
No they are different sizes, you could probably detatch the grill somehow though and spraypaint it

I just realized they were after actually holding an Evo. Waaaay different sizes and the Evo isn't even a grille. Thanks!

a clear back cover would look cool exposing the yellow. anyone know if one exists?
i know it wont be all clear because of the antenna, but i think it would look cool.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I would buy one.

Sounds like an awesome idea! I would be interested.
This would be incredibly cool. I was just thinking about the need for a carbon fiber back... Especially since my aria is starting to creak quite a bit... The case design lends itself so well to customizing it seems...

I would love to see a clear battery cover with the antenna traces visible.
i would love to have one to but do they even sell different color covers of the phone though???

New speakers? There are threads with guides to replace them its cheap and easy

If you are using a custom kernel try switching back to the stock kernel for awhile and see if it goes away. I've noticed some songs with heavy bass lines will distort when using a kernel with the audio level tweaked.
I almost broke a pair of hundred dollar blue tooth headphones because I thought they were busted only to find out it sounded the same on a pair of regular headphone that I knew were good
If u have insurance on ur phone u can take it to Sprint and they will replace it free. Even if ur rooted. Also if u don't have insurance its 35 bucks
Ignorance is bliss but servitude is its partner
Be careful having your phone around any kind of metal machining/grinding work. The magnet in the speaker will attract any metal dust/particles nearby and the holes in the battery cover and mesh over the speaker opening are too big to stop the smaller stuff. I'm on my third back speaker because of this. Luckily they're easy to change and the place I ordered from sells a minimum quantity of 5 per order.

Pretty sure it was a sarcastic joke. If both your phone and your friends phone sound bad, more than likely it isn't a physical problem with the speaker, and if you aren't running the exact same custom kernel, that probably isn't the issue either.
If they speaker never sounded good to you, it is simply that you are just noticing that the 1/2" cell phone speaker sounds like a dog turd, which is sadly to be expected.
The EVO speaker is one of the best phone speakers I have ever heard, most are smaller and even more tinny sounding.
Went to sprint about my speakers and they are giving Me a new one for free......

Seems to be full of trolls, but I thought it was interesting our beloved Dinc2 is still getting press on one of the bigger technology blogs.
Lack of HDMI out was a big disappointment for me. Other than that, maybe more internal storage. Still a sweet black slab...
Move the damn volume buttons from the left side to the right side.
Move the power button to the left. Much easier for right handed people to press.
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
So far, I think there's nothing I'd change other than like mentioned above, move the power button.
Sent from my rooted MIUI Dinc2
Agreed for the power button. Using the "power button ends call" feature is kinda tough on the inc2.

What would I change? BLOAT! Hardware wise though it's pretty much perfect. I had a fascinate before this and the only thing I is the amoled screen.
Yada yada tapped
Dual core?

It's funny - I'm right handed, and I think the power button is in a perfect spot. I usually hold the phone with my left hand and use my right thumb or index finger to perform actions. The button is in a perfect spot for my left index finger. My girlfriend has a Droid X, which has a power button further to the left, and I can't stand it. Guess it comes down to personal preference.
Anyway, I'd agree with the poster who mentioned the bloat, which is pretty absurd on the stock firmware. Not really an issue for those of us who are rooted, but definitely the biggest drawback for the average user looking at the Dinc2.

I'm perfectly happy with the position of the buttons and the lack of hdmi out.
The only thing I'd like is to have a stronger antenna. That's pretty much it.
better antenna and i'd be happy
No really big issues. I think 2gb internal storage is a little small. I think 8gb would of been great. However, I'm not sure how much of difference 1gb of ram would make. Otherwise, I OC it and its way faster than my old Eris. LOL

I also have an Eris, but we were lucky to have so much support on that phone. It held up for being one of the originals..
I like the Dinc2 pretty much the way it is.CPU is good enough (for now) it has enough RAM (for now) and the front facing camera is a major plus. A better antenna would be nice but their working on experiments with foil and conductive paints on one of the threads I saw here on XDA, and its only a matter of time before someone figures out a valid improvement.. I like the screen size and clarity. My Mother got a Nexus S 4g (which is an awesome phone, but has bad battery life, but she wont root it so....) but when i put my phone side by side with hers, the Dinc2 screen is so much better..
Signal on this phone SUCKS! Compared to an X2 its like comparing a child to an adult, and I have tried all those "experiments" myself, and none of them helped... Other than that, no complaints...

Switch the direction of the Charging port like the original dinc.

Antenna, headphone jack sucks!!, charging port is loose, back cover doesn't hug as tight as it could. In my opinion it isn't put together as well as it could be. But don't execute me for stating this;-)

So I just tried to use my headphones with the headphone jack. I tried two different pairs, one with an inline mic and one without. Both of them work, they just feel like they will slide out of the jack with no effort, and actually do come out with a slight tug on the cord.
Is this an issue or is it normal? If its an issue, I just got the phone today, would this be covered under a warranty of some sort? (Its the blue variant)
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk 4
Edit.
Misread ok if you feel they are to lose then take it back. If you have to tug on them they should be fine. I would guess they would have to be kinda easy to pull out so not to cause damage to the connector
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk 2
Normal. The One headphone jack doesn't have the "grip" that a lot of other phones have. My friend said the same thing, he thought his was defective.

Honestly, I have not noticed mine being any more loose than any other devices I use

I called and spoke with HTC and the rep recommended that I take it back since the phone is only 5 days old. Walked into Best Buy, explained what happened, 30 minutes later, I'm on my way with a properly functioning One.

Cool! There are two small holes on the back, for microphones, hardly visible. Cold be enough to make such holes for loudspeaker.
Is it difficult to take the back cover off?

yea, not too hard but its held on with adhesive so you need to pry it off its a bit tough. You would need a new back to replace since the old adhesive wont hold again.
Really want to try this! Could you share with us maybe where to get the back covers/tools to do this?

Back covers are sold on ebay, or if you google it other places as well. You would just need to heat the back up a bit with a heat gun or blow dryer and use a thin tool preferably plastic (so you dont damage the frame of the phone) to pry one edge up and start pulling off the back.
