I installed a neondroid theme from the SD through recovery, rebooted my phone, and it won't boot to the wallpaper.
It's supposed to show the joker with s-off on it for a few seconds then go off then my network provider shows then my wallpaper or desktop.
It shows the joker then a black line appears on screen.
Any ideas how I can get my phone functioning again??

incompatible theme???
HTC Desire

I did install a theme the normal way through the market which worked, but this theme may have been incompatible, so maybe i need to somehow get the neondroid off, maybe that will work coz installing other themes won't work.
I used an AlphaRev bootup disk to turn the S-On to Off.
My son's device was briefly immersed in water. After thouroughly drying it over a few days (battery removed imediately) the device seems almost fully functional unfortunately, since wetting the device, he has managed to lose the installed gold card.
I have full fastboot functionality but, when trying to boot the device it remains on the htc screen :crying:
My pc recognises the device as a disk drive but is unable to display it under my pc. :crying:
The device is locked to the 3UK network and has cid H3G__001 but has 2.13.401.2 firmware installed by means of the now non-existant gold-card.
I am not used to the ways of the Wildfire S but have experience with the desire, sensation and one x so I am not quite a complete noob
A few questions:
1/ Is it possible to make another goldcard with the device in this state?
2/ Does anybody have a 3UK RUU available (preferably the latest one) as I have not been able to locate one anywhere?
Any advice or assistance would be very much appreciated.
p.s. I have not been able to unlock the bootloader at htc.dev.

I appreciate that something may still be irretrievably damaged.
Actually wanted to flash this device, we had to obtain s-off, did everything in aakh, was first downgrade, all downloaded, the phone came in half an hour, and during hboot sought firmware ... I pulled the battery, went back to hboot, first was some sort of mistake, but then update the radio and even something and the phone rebooted and I got a - 1) a white screen and the words htc, and 2) hbut unresponsive buttons. help please. excuse me for my english.

Take sdcard out and try to navigate in hboot. Your sdcard might be corrupted. I couldn´t get 90% of what you said you wanted to do...

Hello, need some help here.
I rooted my mums Wildfire S to get some extra internal memory. All was working except for widgets so stupidly I did a factory reset from privacy menu (my first root so putting it down to naivety) now the phone starts and I am able to go through the initial start-up steps like selecting provider, setting up wifi but then the phone gets stuck on the screen that says:
Loading...
it may take several minutes to complete, please wait
I had installed recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.img prior to rooting and have subsequently tried the recovery options power+Vol up, and the factory reset from the boot menu, have shown patience for several hours and no joy. But as the phone still sort of works I thought I would get some expert advice on how to fix before I break it any further

Thanks for any help given in advance.
So, I just joined the forums and haven't done any rooting or custom ROMs to the phone yet. I just got a refurbished HTC One m8 intended for Verizon, and today I received a notification that said "lock screen update: if you install this your system will reset and you will not be able to make calls for 30 minutes." So I thought that would be okay, considering that it came with a page from Verizon explaining what it did. But then, after updating, it goes through the bootup with the HTC One m8 screen acting as normal, but then it gets to the Verizon splash screen logo and won't continue from there. I have tried soft resetting and it does the same thing. I updated it because it didn't give me the option to just not show the message every time I told it to install later.
I have transferred apps and settings from a previous phone using the HTC Transfer Tool. How do I fix this?
EDIT: Some specifics from the debug menu:
