Is there a way of getting the hibernate option to work on a non-HD firmware? It was quite a nice option to have on the phone when I ran the HD firmware, but I have now reverted back to sense 2.2 as I use the camera. My Wife got her DesireZ yesterday and I'm jealous of the boot time again.
I wasn't sure if it was something that could be added or not.
Cheers
I think there is a quick boot app on the market but you need to be rooted.

Sounds ideal. Do you know what it's called?
I'm off to search "Quick boot"
Edit: Quick boot on the marketplace is a quick way to enter the recovery mode etc.
It's called quick boot.

As above I did try "Quick Boot" but it isn't what I was asking about.

Oh my bad I didn't read the description of the app sorry. Only way would be to use a sense HD Rom then.

Hi guys, got a strange issue here. Whenever I dial a number the phone will ring a few times then the signal bars will jump from whatever they are on to nothing with an x and call will fail. However; the phone will still be ringing on the other persons end, and if I redial then it will jump into the call I tried to make previously. The same could happen again during the call. Strangely, this only seems to happen when I bring the phone up to my ear, if I use hands-free it only happens 1 time out of 10. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm using SuperNova Xtreme ROM, any more info needed?

Same peoblem here with stock... Heard it's a bug with proximity sensor. Does your phone drop the signal when you lock the screen?

Unfortunately, I have also read that there is no fix for that bad luck for us, I guess
Well, I've just done a quick Google and found that sometimes simply taking the back off the phone and hoovering everything out can help, as well as blowing/hoovering on the line between the earpiece and the screen. I'll try it out and post my findings.

Hey, I've managed to fix it, but only by flashing with an entirely new ROM/RUU. It's the only thing I could find to fix the issue.

And I really don't want to fully reset the device so soon. I have a sneaky suspicion it may be due to the clock with weather ...Any other ideas?

This is because HTC Sense takes up quite a chunk of memory, so when you are doing other things and memory is low, HTC Sense gets unloaded to free up memory.
When you exit out the application you see this by having to wait for HTC Sense to reload.
I wish HTC would give the option not to use HTC Sense, does it make sense to fill up the phones memory with something that Android has essentially built in already?
Regards
Phil

Agree.. This is happening too frequently. It actually got worse on 4.0.4 for me on stock. I wonder why nobody else find this issue irritating? Unless I'm the only few unlucky ones..

You need to download the VI aka virtuous infinity 1.35 beta1 rom on your pc. Then place the zip on sdcard. Unfortunately you will have to flash that rom. Follow paarthdesai's instructions. Lastly if you forgot your gmail password u will have to retrieve it. Keep in mind that it could be the kernel that is causing this issue, just a guess, dont have other details so this is the best i can do... PM if you neef further info. Easy fix.....trust us.....

lol. it's not the kernel =).
he put the wrong combination too many times and he doesn't know his gmail password. and we don't have Vi virtuous infinity. This is ONE V forum!
for the op:
And yeah, as paarthdesai says, this phone might be stolen given the fact that you are posting from a DESIRE HD and you state that YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR GMAIL PW? come one, everyone here knows that if you have 2 android phones, you are keeping your gmail account like a saint (giving the fact that is strictly related to the market and other android related stuff). also, you don't know how to enter in hboot and you are having desire hd + one v? or your one v is new in your hands and you don't know how the hell can you enter in this area?
another thing that intrigues me is that, you say that when you open the WIFI, nothing happens, this means that you have your router at home passworded and being a stolen phone, you cannot connect to your router because you can't go to settings to put in the password.
nice going.
dude as icebox says..
100% doubt we have
soo no help from me neither 1cebox i think.. go to htc centre they will fix it themselves.. nd also ul be verified that phone is urs ..

Its probably not a stolen phone, but I guess he found it and decided to keep it. I might be wrong.
Factory reset in recovery is the best way
Haters gonna hate. Potatoes gonna potate. Waiters gonna wait. Aligators gonna aligate.
I KNOW MY GMAIL PASSWORD, just tell me how can I switch the WiFi on so the phone can verify it!!!
