Got a UK Desire, and have an issue that has persisted between standard and vanilla ROMs.
I've hacked in the voice search usign the apk files, and I've added the mic button to the keyboard too.
I can do voice search, and dictation, but *only* voice google search. I can't voice dial, for example.
I thought it was meant to do this, am I missing something?

Desire doesn't have voice dialling... yet. Try Vlingo or Choice Dialer until it is resolved.

it doesn't have voice search until you hack it either! I thought the hacks above added the Nexus One's functionality which included this? Is this not the case?
I have tried all the visual voicemail apps on the market and none of them will work. Is US-Cellular preventing this from working? One thing I can not stand not having.
I haven't tried anything other than Google voice, which imo is the best thing to ever happen to voicemail. The integration is awesome and works wonderfully for me on my cdma Desire. Hope that helps.

Ok, I recently decided to try using the Voice to Text feature in the messaging app and for some reason it doesn't work!
I can use voice dialing, voice search, etc. but the voice to text doesn't seem to hear a voice.....any ideas what could be causing it?
Could it be a rom issue? I'm running Super-Z on my inc.

I am just wondering if there's an app that makes your voice to change during a call like hiding your real voice and use robot's voice instead of your original voice if anyone knows any kind of app let me know
