RAW Images (Camera) - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I understand that phone cameras have weak sensors but has anyone come up with a way to capture pictures in .RAW format?

That would be useless for a phone with poor ISO performance and low pixel density.
You might benefit from being able to change white balance but anything else it would do no good.
Also if it would be possible, the gallery would need to be able to read raw files. It would also have a hard time creating thumbnails and viewing would be slower.
If you need raw, stick with an advanced point and shoot or a DSLR camera.
The way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if future phones (way way in teh future) had that feature.

Though it would be interesting, it really isn't all that practical. It's more of a "I happen to have it with me camera".
I think you need one of these:

[Q] Heavily decreased LED-light.

Hello guys. Here I will post a semi-blurry picture of my HOX, (the black), and my girlfriends HOX, (the white).
As you maybe can see, my led light is very heavily decreased, and I don't know why.
PS: Mine is rooted, my gf's is not.
And it's not because of one single rom, because of all that I've tried, (plenty), none of them have increased my led light.
It might not be important, but it really bugs me that I can't see when I get a new text message, etc.

Same problem for me after updating to JB
Are you sure it didn't get dirty in your pocket around the same time you updated? Just in case get a can of air-duster and give the front grill a good clean, it may save you the trouble of flashing roms and fiddling around. Mine gets dusty and dim all the time.

Help! Photo sphere not processed correctly

I have had some bugs lately with photo sphere, not always but a couple of times the image was not processed correctly and had lost a great image. I attach an example. I found this image in the gallery, very bad quality and with the divisions on it. It's just happened random and want to know if I did something wrong or it'll it just a bug. Maybe I turned off the screen before it ended the process or who knows...
Any help to avoid this happening in the future will be great.
Using paranoid Android and ak kernel v20 by the way.

looks like you snapped before the camera had time to adjust and prepare to capture.. it happens to me on occasion.
you can always try to reflash your gapps to get the proper camera.apk and or gallery.apk again

Arcade faces for Facer

Just got the idea from seeing the Donkey Kong face that was posted earlier, if you like it, fell free to download it.

Must be honest, the pictures I got looked fine but after editing it to remove the scores and other stuff, it reduced the picture quality after saving, don't have photoshop and just used one picture editor I had on the phone. One question though, are you referring to the galaga face or you think both are pixelated? I'm asking because the one that I needed to enlarge was the Galaga one and that causes more pixelated pictures.
But will try to do it better when I have a chance, will post here when I do it. Thanks.
**Update** I just edited the original image trying to not zooming it and I think it's quality is better, try it now.

Holy crap, I thought mine were bad, but yours are hilarious! Hilariously bad, that is. I'm sorry to confirm that my phone also takes really ****ty zoomed photos, but I have no fix for it. I asked in another forum if their phone also takes as bad zoomed in pictures, but they said I have problems with my eyes and that there's nothing wrong with the pictures smh. Since I got the phone mostly for the camera, this is a real deal breaker for me and I returned it. Maybe if they fix it in software in the future, I'll consider buying it again, but until then I cannot use it like this.
Edit: you *could* theoretically fix this by using another camera app, but that means you won't be able to use the 1.5 aperture

Not the same Camera

I've seen this false information mentioned everywhere, review blogs and all saying S10's main camera is just the same from the previous model, that's false.
The two modules don't even look similar, and they certainly have different stats in both EXIF data and Aida64:

Different sensor and different lenses too, so don't worry you're not getting recycled parts from a year ago.
cool story bro...
They saying same sensors but different drivers so it's good to know tho

Well the "sensor" component itself is shared by a lot of different modules, Sony's 2018 IMXs is mostly the same in all the devices that came out that year, but they're not the same cameras.
