Hello
I have a htc desire with oxygen 2.1.3 s-on. Before I flashed I wiped data, cache and dalvik cache. when my mobile network connection have been of for a period, i.e overnight and I try to connect mobile data it won't connect at all. I don't use any Apn toggle, just the build in data connection switch. When i reboot everything works fine. I've tried to fill in the APN settings from my carrier and still the same problem. It happens both if the wireless.network is on or off. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Do you have a new radio version, or one that is compatible with the RIL included with this rom?
More information on RIL here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902752
Radios to flash if needed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464&highlight=radio
Thanks for the reply! Before I flashed oxygen rom, I actually tried cm7 and flashed radio 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27. I had the same problem in cm7.

I've the same problem. I've tired the following configurations:
Radio 5.17.05.23 with RIL HTC-RIL 2.2.1001G and HTC-RIL 2.2.1003G
Radio 5.11.05.27 with RIL HTC-RIL 2.2.1001G
It's very strange because when you connect WiFi and after an hour and the you deactivate it, it switches to mobile data but when your WiFi ist connected for a couple of hours it doesn't switch back to mobile data.
I can see someone made an app for a bug, #2207, but i dont think thats my problem. If i dont use wireless at all, and mobile data is disconnected for a couple of hour, it wont connect when i turn on mobile data

I am having issue in connecting mobile data, although I have the "data enabled" option ticked, but there is no mobile data icon appears on the status bar.
I googled and tried lots of apn setting for my carrier however none of them can solve my problem. I have done the "search automatically" method under network operators. Also, I have tried flash newer cyanogenmod nightly and other radio version over my original cyagenmod rom, but none of these help.
Please advice on how could I get my mobile data working again.
Mobile data issue
I am facing the same issue . Any one knows wat could resolve this??
which radio version r u having????
Hope I can help you
Quoted from CM7's official thread for HTC wildfire (Buzz):
If you have any issues with GPS, 3G or any other network issues, try flashing the following radio firmware. NB, it's not possible to flash this zip from ClockworkMod 3, so if you have this version installed, use ROM Manager to flash it instead.

I deactivated my 3G subscription. Deleted the APN. Activated 3G subscription. Recreated the APN and voila I am connecting via 3G. I hope this would help others facing this issue as well.

Hi,
I have tried all three radio versions, flashed all 3 of them several times for the last 3-4 days but I am still not able to enable the functions of GPS & Mobile Data (Internet) on my rooted HTC Wildfire. Currently I am running Cyanogenmod 7.1.0.1.
I am really going crazy over this. In google maps, location is found only while using wi-fi. With GPS location is not found although the GPS icon comes in status bar. Mobile internet doesnt work at all.
Please help.

As a last resort (this will do a clean wipe of all data) -
Run an RUU for your phone
- Downloaded from android forums.
- Connect phone to PC and run RUU
- This downgrads phone OS to eclair (android 2.1)
- Let it do the bizniss
- Re-root with unrevoked 3
- Re-Flash CM7 and gApps
Hello everyone,
Tonignt i wanted to update my HTC Desire from cyanogen 7.0.3 to 7.1.0RC1 and i decided to update the radio as well
I took the last version of the radio (5.17.05.23) and followed the procedure given on cyanogen wiki.
There was no problem until the initialization of the google account : i did not have any data network so the account could not be synchronized.
After several reboot, cache wiping, the data network is still unavailable.
What can I do to have my data connection on my desire back ? (Please help )
Did you check your apns are correct;

Thanks for your answers... I went back to 7.0.3 and I got back my data connection.
Then I tried again to migrate to 7.1.0RC1 and it was ok. I don't know what went wrong the first time but it works now

Hi, I had initially flashed the Runnymede AIO Rom v4.0.2 to my HTC Desire with no issues, using CM7 r2 hboot, radio 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23. All worked very well, when 4.0.3 was introduced, I then flashed that rom, which intalled without a problem, however I was unable to connect to my Wifi, it found the signal and let me enter the security key, but just stays as connecting then disconnected. . I then flashed V4.0.2 back expecting that to work, however wifi still doesn't connect. Now Ver 5.0 is out completely wiped phone and intalled, all ok, but STILL no wifi .
Has anyone else experienced this issue? any advice on fixing this? help please!

Hi,
I am currently having the same issue, Runnyed AIO v5.0.1 with Cm7r Hboot (fresh install did it thismorning).
in my case, I have attempted to do it with a static ip and without on multiple wireless routers.
It has remembered my wifi network, says it's secured WPA etc but the icon up the top shows a 1 bar with a green ex.
Wi-Fi option continuously loops between Disconnected, Connecting... Connecting to wifi... Disconnected and so on.
Edit:
I tried selecting 'Wifi Protected setup' and then selected WPS > PBC (Push Button Configuration). They found each other now my device works on my home network.

I've had this issue with one of the V4 AIO ROMS (Can't remeber the exact version) but I managed to fix it by entering a Static IP address in the WiFi settings.
Yes it was stuck on optaining ip address then disconnecting. It was fine on v4.2 then stoped working in 4.3. My router was set to wireless n only. Changed to bgn mixed mode and now works fine.
Looked up and saw that desire doesn't support wireless n.... Odd it must have cause I havnt changed it.
Anyways working fine now assuming on wireless g. Strange.........

Is your wifi/router working?
How old is your device?
When did it stop working?
Sent from a dream.
Did you turn wifi toggle on and did you log into the router if it is secure. When I flash my rom wifi is on but on some flashes its off.
Also try installing pd98 rooted stock rom and radio and see if you get wifi back. If so then full wipe and reflash the rom you want and stick with stock radio.
