[Q] Anyone got a Dual Sim Adaptor working on DHD? - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone got a Dual Sim Adaptor working on DHD?
My Magic-Sim 26th CUT is not working.

yeah i have one adaptor.... is this:
http://www.simore.ch/es/doble_tarjeta_sim/doble_tarjeta_sim_infinite_light.php
if u see the all the page there´s a video for explain it...
u need to cut your sim cards....
the only one problem its that its too expensive (and its a spanish web )

Forget those MagicCard things.
I even tried a 28th Prototype.
None of them worked.
Atm I'm running a Simore Platinum, which is working very good.
One bad thing: The battery drainage jumps from 1mA - 5mA to unbelievable 33mA - 37mA (+/-) on idle.

Hi, thanks for your post. I also have MagicSim wich is CRAP.. not working on my DHD, and on older SonyEricsson the phone just reboots infinite..
Im a little afraid of giving this much money for Simore but I hope its working.. have you solved the batery drainage problem maybe with different kernel or rom?
(also be shure to disable auto switching the sim-s )

Nope. Battery Drainage still remains.
I've tried CM7 and Sense ROMs and all Kernels that are available.
Different Radios aswell...
No Chance.
I've also written to the Simore Support a few times.
But they always answered with some marketing blubber and never answered to my questions.
I wouldn't recommend them after all, but there is also no alternative...
Here is a copy (read from bottom to top):

Nope, I'm not talking about the energy consumption while switching.
I know that this does need some juice for the radio power amplifier and so on.
I'm talking about the battery consumption while not even using the phone.
While using just one SIM Card without the DualSIM Adapter the Phone constantly uses 1mA - 5mA on Idle or Airplanemode.
With your DualSIM Adapter attached, the consumption arose to 30mA - 35mA and won't go any lower.
If I deactivate the DualSIM Adapter via Airplanemode, the consumption is back at 1mA - 5mA.
I only switch the SIM Card twice a day.
I also don't understand what your attached marketing text should help at all?
I'm asking a very technical question:
Is there any way to reduce the energy, the DualSIM Adapter needs to work, or not?
The consumption is 5x - 7x higher while idling, what is, if you ask me, way too much.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message.
To answer to your question, if you are switching from one SIM card to the other less than 10 times a day, it will not affect the battery consumption at all.
Over 10 switchs a day, it will reduce the battery power from 5% to 15%.
We inform you that the HTC DESIRE HD is also compatible with the ranges of Simore Platinum and Infinite.
Those smart card system present the advantage to be universal.
Our Simore cutting solution is reversible, we provide in the pack 2 recovery slots allowing you to restore your SIM cards to their original regular size and easily reintroduce them in 2 phones without inconvenience (see video in the link below) :
Simore's videos
The Simore Platinum and Infinite ranges has been developed to support 3G and HSDPA networks and designed to be easily integrated into all phones, even those with an extremely thin SIM card slot such as the Apple iPhone, HTC, Nokia, LG, Samsung, Blackberry, etc...
Those brand of Dual SIM Card supports USIM and SIM cards from all mobile phone operators and allows users to take full advantage of Internet access and video connections via 3G networks - UMTS - WCDMA - HSDPA (High Data transfer speed).
For the Simore Platinum Plus and for the Infinite range, our engineers have restructured and redesigned the software architecture to provide increased capacity, improved performances and faster application.
For the range of Simore Infinite, our engineers have redesigned the hardware and developed the "Bullet Injection" technology.
This new "Bullet Injection" technology strengthen and optimize the contact points between the SIM cards and the Simore Infinite device, ensuring an optimum connection.

Opening ticket number: (01/07/11 10:36 ) :
Dir Sirs or Madam,
I'm using a Simore Dual SIM Adapter Platinum in
my HTC Desire HD, since a few weeks.
Unfortunately my battery drainage arose a lot since then.
My Phone used to need about 1mA - 5mA while idling.
Now it takes 30mA - 35mA.
That way the standby time fell to 1 day, coming from 2,5 days.
While testing the Simcards separately and without the adapter, everything is fine.
Is there a hidden setting or a firmware update for the Dual Sim adapter to lower the drainage in any way?
Best Regards,

I have some quetion to ask.. since i'm going to purhcase this phone very soon.
1. How is the sound quality.. Ring volume.. good?, Loud?
2. Is their any lack or slow or bug errors ... in opening standard programs..
3. How is the GPS works? is this work well and fast?
4. Any other problems for this Artemis lately??
Thank you very much for your answer..
The reason is PPC, when is first launch always has some problem.. with normally can be fix by the next firmward, so i just want to make sure that this work well... (Not like ATOM when is first launched)

1. Sound quality: I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. Reception is very good. Ring volume: excellent! Too loud for my taste in fact. I NEVER use the maximum setting because it is, well, too loud!!
2. Nothing significant regarding bugs. Speed is more than acceptable. I still cannot believe that it's using "only" a 200MHz CPU. It simply doesn't show. I guess this is due to excellent implementation on their part (AKU and all). Also it is VERY easy to overclock and get significant improvement (if you so desire...) but I haven't found this to be necessary.
3. The best GPS implementation I have ever seen. State of the art in my book.
4. I was looking to get Nokia N95 but I'm glad I didn't. HTC has hit the jackpot with this one I think.
I agree I hardly notice the difference between my shiny new XDA Orbit and my 2 yo XDA IIs, apart from not having to carry around a brick!
This was my biggest concern, top marks to HTC!
I have to say this thing blows the Exec out of the water. I got crashes when messaging, freezes while looking at pics, and a whole host of other little niggles with my Exec. The O2 XDA Orbit which I picked up yesterday has been an absolute beauty. It's a lovely size, really light, and the controls are very easy to use. The only thing I'm slightly concerned about is my battery has gone from 56% down to 6% in about 10min, which is a little bad but aparently is just my battery so changing that tonight.

Excellent
I have had the MDA compact III for a week now and I think its great, if you want a brick then its not for you... ok it could have done with 3g and wifi (I have had it confirmed through a friend who works for HTC that the wifi Chip (hardware) was removed on the MDA) but at the end of the day who turns on there wifi? I havent on any other device...
All in all you choose the device for your needs, I had a M3100 and got rid of that for this... my main needs are tomtom, e-mail and phone in the smallest form factor I can get.... this device does it!....I have two and my partner has one also ... got them from the t-mobile shop £20 for each phone then £15 a month and 6.99 for the Web and Walk .... Bargain!.
Mouse - I prefer the roller on the M3100 but I do like the inovation and have played a bit with it but I do like it.
It's awesome. I have the the HTC with Wifi, but also without Wifi it's an excellent device
All the points that you ask have a 5 stars for me, compared with my old HTC Himalaya
Nothing is perfect anyway, a cradle available is my desire
I am also seriously considering getting this phone. My only concern is reception and voice quality. Anyone who has used HTC Magician please compare phone function of these two phones?
Also, does this have a2dp?

Reception is good gps faar out and voice quality better than the magician (s100)
Good Device (still trying to get rid of the t-mobile ****) using mda compact III with wifi. by the way the device supports RDS (many people where asking this on the forum so here's your anwser
When is the free unlock available and htc roms (tmobile roms are fully branded and hardreset softreset doesn't affect this much....
Just about perfect...
This phone is the best I have owned. I upgraded from a PDA2k and see no appreciable lag between that device's 400mhz and the 200 in this little beauty - other than Voice Command taking just a little longer to beep after button press. It plays video like a champ (although converted to divx) - but who uses non-converted video anyway? Too much space on the mem card!
My only desire is that the memory card would be easier to get to. Sending large files to the card via Usb or Bluetooth takes forever. I hate the fact that I have a card reader built right into my laptop and I can't make use of this functionality with my PDA without taking out the battery and lifting the sim card holder. I guess since it uses MicroSD and those cards are easily damaged, HTC figured that hiding it away would protect us from ourselves!!! Hey, deeper in the device means less dust, right!? Just get a 2 gig and forget about it.
I have noticed that the battery is a little weak; I had an extended battery on my 2k and it lasted forever - but talk about bricks!!! I see that they are making an extended for the Artemis too, but I am hesitant to bulk up such a remarkably perfect form factor.
By the way - I concur that the wifi is solid and the GPS is fantastic (and well managed by the OS). I can walk around INSIDE my house and not loose my fix!! As far as Rollr is concerned, it takes some getting used to, but after a while I now don't think I could live without it! Read on:
If anyone wants to try a great configuration, try this: Use Double Launcher 2.11 and you go from having 6 hardware buttons and 2 softkeys to having 16 functions available via button! DL doesn't see the start menu button or the OK button on the Artemis, but it will give you 4 options on each of the other four keys. I had Vito Buttonmapper on my 2k, but it didn't seem to function well on the Artemis. DL is much nicer on this device. Then I used the registry hack by travegliaesogno posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=281487&page=2&highlight=mousemode to get the mouse mode to turn on using a button rather than the HTC icon on the Today screen. I used 40c2 (as this is the startmenu key which I never use for that function). The best thing is that the hack survives soft reset! Now I can get the mouse to appear within applications when I need it and make it disappear when I don't without having to minimize and go to the Today screen to activate/deactivate it!!! The mouse takes a little practice, and I wouldn't be surprised if the ROM updates for this device will make it run even more smoothly as time goes on.
I was really considering the Trinity when it became more and more likely that it would eventually have GPS, but now that I know the Artemis is as zippy as it is and my new love affair with Rollr, I'm glad I took the plunge with this lovely gadget! High marks, HTC!!!
Oh yeah,

Voice quality is excellent - no "sweet spot". Sounds good everywhere on your ear. Reception has been fantastic on Cingular in Virginia, USA. Sorry, can't comment on A2DP since I don't have bluetooth earphones yet. Okay, I'm done.
psargent, thanks for your mini-review, it was very helpful and removed my doubts about the device.
Thank you very much
Thank you very much for your coment on this Artemis..
So.. should say that this is the most perfect phone HTC ever build..
one more question, is this phone capable of 2g microsd?
Anyway i'll buy it.. wait until it release in THailand...
Yep, its a fine phone/pda. Ringer is loud, im glad to say, nice ringtones too, none of the normal crap tunes they put on all the phones these days. Tomtom seems slow to get the sats up but once it gets going its great. Its amazing what you can get on a 1gb card. I have 2 full length films and tomtom with space to spare. Unreal picture quality too. Well happy
I have the 2gig sandisk card from www.mobymemory.com and it works fine.
2 Gig Sandisk ULTRA also works well

I havn't looked at this in detail but dont forget you can only compare the clock speeds of CPU's with similar architecture. Intel XScale chips usually have sky high CPU clocks (500MHz) but their architecture means a different CPU at 200MHz could potentially have more number crunching ability. One thing is for sure though more MHz = more battery juice.
Checkout the current crop of PC CPU's, Pentium 4's have clocked upto 3.8GHz but the new Core 2 Duo's running at 2.6GHz are way more powerful because of their architecture.
Its good to know that HTC's 3300 at 200MHz matches older 400MHz designs though so thanks for your input, I had been reading lots of posts about "BUT ONLY 200MHz - WHY!!?" etc etc I thought they were talking boll**ks now I know they were.
Network lock
Does anybody know if the O2 Orbit is actually locked to O2. I'm so tempted to go and get one right now, phone shop is only 10 minutes away, but i need to put a Vodafone sim in it.
Thanks for your help.
Paul
mine wasn't locked at all. orange sim worked with no probs...
FANTASTIC!!!!!! I'm off to get one right now ;-)
Got one tues without copilot but can't get gps to work, if you get one can you let me now if yours works vlad69uk? 02 say it only works with copilot!

help me choose 3300 or 3600

hi guys. need some help!! time to upgrade frm mda vario. looking at 3600 aka orange m700 and 3300 aka tmobile compact 3/ o2 orbit. if we leave out the 3g function of the 3600 which would you choose. if the advice is 3300 would it be tmobile without wifi or o2 orbit, although tmobile web and walk tariffs are good. please heeelp. thanks in advance.
The 3600 has a better CPU and a much worse casing. The question is: Do you really need the fast CPU? If you want to play a lot of games (mainly 3D or action), go for the 3600. Otherwise the 3300 is the better choice!
I'd get the 3600. It now also has GPS, is only slightly more expensive and has 3G which might make it easier to sell in a year or so.
I use both the HTC P3300 and the T-Mobile MDA-C-III and to be honest I cannot remember when I last bothered using the WiFi on the P3300 - the T-Mobile GPRS is great (even better at the price when compared to O2 tariffis).
OK 3G would be a bonus, but in my experiance it hammers the battery so as yet I still don't like it as a useable asset, valid point about future value but I don't sell my units after replacement so not relevant. With HTC announcing WM2006 for the Artemis perhaps this is the way forwards (not sure about the 3600 as I have yet to see anything about WM2006) - Mke
Think you should go with the 3300. I've had the M700 (3 times actually) and even though its a beautiful machine, the casing put me off.Looks and feels so fragile. The GPS is good but the 3300 has it as well in a much smaller package.Speed on the 3300 (mine is the xda Orbit version) is pretty good especially for everyday use.I use mine for watching medical lecture video's constantly and have had no need to overclock it (poss if you wanted to but not a necessity) so the 400 cpu of the 3600 is not that necessary - good but not necessary. Also with all my 3600 I had the ring delay issue where someone would call you and it would ring over their side about 5X before ringing on the actual phone.Missed calls a lot because of that . Also not that its restricted to the 3600,but I had my first ever total SD card corruption with a ppc on it. I know its also been documented in the 3300 (there seems to be some fixes eg sentry) but that really biased me against the 3600 variants. As for the type of 3300 you should go for,I reckon the Xda Orbit is the better one. Xda O2 phones come regularly unlocked and the Orbit so far has not been an exception.Hence you can use a T-mobile sim on it. Have your cake and eat it too. In the UK, data usage is generally expensive or not as good as what you get in the states so its always good to have your WIFI options open and use if YOU want and not if your service provider wants you to!

T-Mobile rant about Dash and Thanks to the forum

I updated to the new 1.33 HTC rom with my Dash and I am with T-Mobile in the US.
I can not understand why T-Mobile does not add the SDHC drivers and provide a rom update for everyone. My Dash now works with 4gb and 8gb microsd cards and the cards read faster than my 2gb did. Also, the radio works better and that surprises me, since I did not think software changes would improve it much.
As far as the Dash, I would love to see a Dash II with the current design but with the following improvements:
1) 400 mhz chip set up with for power scaling options in the software
2) 3.5 mm headphone jack (Blackberry Curve has one in similar form factor)
3) SDHC ready without jumping through hoops to get it to work.
By the way, a HUGE thanks to all that worked on a process to add the new HTC and Roger's roms to T-Mobile Dash's. You have made the effort that T-Mobile does not seem to care doing.

It's like getting a new phone isn't it? I think most of us here totally agree with everything you just mentioned.
I'd also like to add the ability to control the brightness of the phone. It can be very painful on the eyes in completely dark rooms.

push e-mail for pop-imap? rather than use Blackberry Connect and paying $9.99 more, or waiting 5-10-15 min. for mail... would increase battery life

between the new update, the upgraded 4gig card, and installing the brand new smart toolkit(a real start menu!!!), oh and cant forget the new htc streamer for youtube! i was really wanting a new phone too... no complaints anymore. the process was a little complicated but that could have been because of my tattered software (i reflashed to my current version for a clean slate before upgrading and worked fine on the 2nd time)
the only problem i had was that my internet proxy setting were wiped out. i had to make a new mms and gprs. i got lucky that my girlfriend bought the same phone and i use hers for backups if i need to.
great update!

hi
i just now googled it and the price in india is as given below
Micromax W900 Price: approx. Rs. 7500 /-(this is Indian rupees)
THe mobile is good but then I am quite irritated with Windows Mobile 6.1 OS in it. It has bugs and it is not thumb friendly. I have heard that 6.5 is better and its navigation is quite friendly too. I am eagerly looking for it.
I bought it @ Rs 7650 in Hyderabad.
The battery life is just good enough for touch screen.
With normal usage it should come properly for 2 days and on 3rd day some time it should go off.
Micromax guys seems to take more time to judge the customer reviews over this mobile as it was launches just 1 - 2 months ago.
As of now is there any good Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM available?
And do I need to reinstall some pre-installed apps like SPB Home and Sygic GPS for Map my India ?
Just let me know
i told tht
we need 6.1 Rom and we can thn DIY 6.5 out of it

Hi,
I have bought a W900 myself last week. It is a chinese phone at heart with the NEXPERIA 5209 board. I am quite technically challenged, but if anyone can help me with the instructions, I will try to extract the WM6.1 from my phone as I need to upgrade as well.
I wiped my phone clean and the applications like MapMyIndia, AdobeFlash n other stuff installed themselves again. So I think they have been included in the ROM itself and can be ported to the 6.5 ROM as well.

I had my iPhone 3G stolen and was looking for a touchscreen with wi-fi. This is the only phone less than 8k running a reputed OS with touch. I bought it for 7800 in Bangalore last week.
And the bloody GPS never works so the maps are of no use anyway.
How do I go into the flash mode on the W900?? I have tried holding down the volume, camera, Start button while powering up but it does not go into the flash mode. Starts straight up to the Windows icon.

The GPS works for sure. I have tested it in my mobile. Now there are few things which you should check.
1 - Do not try for GPS in office or @ home. The signals r not strong in closed area. Go out in open area and check for valid signals.
2 - The GPS system tries to connect to valid signal and if u see at least 4 - 5 sticks then it normally gets connected.
3 - Initially, before the connection it shows gray screen. the moment u get connected it changes to normal colorful screen and automatically locate ur current location.
4 - Once this is done then the route option gets enabled and u can select ur destination too.
5 - Once ur route is selected and u start moving in ur vehicle then it start prompting for ur directions ... Like "take left after 100 meters". ...
It is one good feature of this mobile ... Do try for it and let me also tell u that it takes a little while before it connects and locate ur self. Once that is done then it is quite fast and decently good... Best of luck.

U seem to have a probable solution. And I am sorry that i didn't get what u r trying to tell me. If u r asking me to check for ROMs then I have found few ROMs which are like tested on HTC mobiles and none r tested on micromax w900 or similar hardware.
And y do we need 6.1 ROM. I mean it is already there in my mobile.
At last y the hell did Microsoft complicate this simple upgrade ... I wish it was just upgrade button click...

What the seniors mean is that we gotta dump the 6.1 ROM already on our W900 so that they can use the same basic stuff that it has but upgrade the OS to WM6.5
Each phone has its own drivers n stuff for the mobo as in PCs. That is why they have a different section for each phone in the forums.

Hi,
I just bought the Micromaxx W900 last week. Not to own but to experience it!
As i read above somebody has rightly said that it is a Chinese Phone, it has a Hisilicon-K3 (most of the phones which is are assembled in China like HTC have Hisilicon or HUAWEI processors) processor and CPU, of 460 MHz which is ok. It is also using Nexperia chipset, which also i would say OK.
But having said that they cam never be compared with Intels 620 MHz which used come with various PDA assembled in the EU.
I could not make much use of the GPS, i wonder why MapMyIndia chose to partner with them. I could not find any DRM version in the OS settings (Digital Rights Management), Doesn't seem to be a 3D touch flo. the Touch quality of a phone depends on two things - the OS and the Phones Touch quality, Unfortunately none of that supports it to have a great touch quality. there is no place to store the Stylus, you have to carry it separately in your pocket. The SPB Home's registration is also very funny, one needs the registration details for upgrade which has not been provided, at least i could not find the same anywhere in the kit.
I had some more to say but running out of time, would come back again.
regards,

Agree with everything said above EXCEPT for the stylus part. The stylus comes with a thread which you can pass through the holes at the top, just next to the headphone jack and let it hang around. I didn't find the stylus to be very comfortable in use so I've swapped it with a Nokia 5800 stylus thingy so I don't have to unscrew the stylus each time I wanna use it. Threading it thru the holes is another story, took me quite a while to do it and that too, with the help of a safety pin.

Hi,
I purchased w900 last sunday and from monday the Camera stopped working. The Battery life is so poor that if i just browse the mobile it takes around 5% of battery in 2-3 minutes. Really disappointed with this mobile. Won't recommend to anyone.
I read the dumping procedure for upgrading the ROM from 6.1 to 6.5 but i wasn't able to follow exactly what was written. I wasn't even able to locate the '.nbf' files etc. which are required for the upgrade. I need help in this context!
Thanks in advance...

My cam also stopped working so I went to Settings n did a Clean Boot. That fixed the issue for me temporarily....
found out later that Fring disabled the camera when installed. So am looking for a new IM app to stay online on GTalk using GPRS.

Doogee Dagger DG550 White 5.5" OGS IPS, Kitkat 4.4, Octa Core 1.7Ghz MTK6592

Hi, I ordered the 5.5 inch Doogee Dagger DG550 in white last week from Gearbest, I received it with DHL Express after just 3 days. I did not want to spend much, but still wanted a nice phone, so that's the reason I picked the DG550. For me it seemed to be a good choice and the design is very similar to the inew v3. (just bigger). I know it has been already out for some months, but the start price was too high for my taste, so I got it now because Doogee this month made a pricedrop on the DG550.
So I thought I will give you my version of a full review of the phone! So far I am very impressed with the phone and the stylish design. I especially like this model with the white frame because it makes the black screen look even nicer - and it stands more out than the all black version.

ROOT 4.4.2 KitKat
ROOT KitKat with http://www.shuame.com/en/root/ - it may takes 2-3 tries before it end up with success, but it DO work in the end. Remember to reboot the device after the ROOT succeded.
Camera & Samples
With HDR and without HDR
Indoor / closeup
Normal outdoor shots (standard auto settings)
Root
Root the ROM (works also for Kitkat) with RootGenius http://www.shuame.com/en/root/
Memory & RAM
The phone comes 1GB RAM and 1,5GB internal, and 12,2GB storage.
It also supports micro sdcards up to 64GB.
For normal daily use this is fine, the phone runs very smooth. Only thing is that I could wish to have more than 1.5GB internal for apps, but I guess this can be hacked/changed with other EBR files.
Wifi & reception
The WiFi has a very good range, and it is really fast. Have used it a lot the last days and zero problems. The reception I would say is average and normal. Like on most MTK6592 phones.
Batterylife
The batterylife is very good on the DG550. I can use it over 1 day with normal usage.
It also support special power saving management (Power Saving, Lower Power Mode, Screen Saving Mode) so if you want to save the battery during the day, just activate this.
Antutu Benchmark 5
I get 28340 in score with 4.4 Kitkat

Cons & Pros
Good
- Clear and sharp screen, real OGS/IPS, when the screen is off it is totally black!
- Vivid screen and good viewing angles. The touch sensitivity is perfect!
- The sound from the earspeaker is in my DG550 pretty loud, I don't think it is low
- The build quality seems to be good, I have no crooked corners or something like that
- It is a bit heavy in the hand, but in the nice way, feels like quality
- Supports OTA, so you can update the phone
- Supports Power Saving management (different settings possible) and CPU power limiter
- Very fast and good GPS
- Good WiFi range with good speed
- Battery is good for 1-2 days with normal usage
- It is smooth and has stable software
- The compass works fine after you have calibrated the sensors
- Backlight in the softbuttons
Bad
- No notification LED
- Does not come with Kitkat 4.4 out of the box, but you can flash it yourself
- The backcover feels just like matt thin plastic
- Soundquality and reception is average, not bad but also not super good
- No NFC or wireless charging builtin
- Only 1GB ram, but it still runs very smooth
My verdict
The Doogee Dagger DG550 is a very stylish smartphone - especially in white. It is very cheap, and for the money you get a lot of smartphone. It is hard not to be impressed about the big sharp screen when you have it in the hand. It is smooth out of the box but of course even more with Kitkat 4.4 and has no software bugs. If you want a cheap phone and does not need things like NFC and wireless charging then the DG550 is a very good choice in my opinion. I personally give it 9/10 - I love the phone!
Very stylish simple design!

Hi s7yler,
I bought one too, but I have some issues. My phone stuck on boot and now after recovery with original rom I don't have IMEI and signal. I resolved the Imei problem but I don't have signal yet.
Other problem is some apps like Antutu do the phone restart.
Do you have a original backup and a backup made MTK Droid Tools. I sent message to Doogee support but I didn't receive answer.
Tks

Did you try 4.4 rom? Flash it with SP flash tool v5.1408.00
For imei problem you need SN Writer 2.1324.0 (google it)
Where do you live? Make sure that your carrier supports GSM 2G: 850/900/1800/1900 and 3G: WCDMA 850/2100MHz

Ok that sounds strange, are you sure it is not a hardware error? Did you buy it from new?
I would try this
1. Factory reset phone completly
2. Flash new ROM
3. Wipe all caches/dalvik/factory reset again
4. Check IMEI number and SIM card.
5. If still no signal, try change to 2G only or choose manually search for network instead of automatically
Are you sure you got the correct IMEI into the phone? and you dont need MTK engineering mode.
Just have the phone rooted, then start MTK droid tools, on the first screen (where all the info is) then hit the button IMEI/NVRAM (button is only avaiable if your rooted) and a new window will popup, here you can insert the IMEI number in both fields, and save it to the phone. After that restart phone and thats it.
Regarding Antutu, did you also try Antutu X? (Antutu 5) from the Play Store.
Original ROM (it is called 4.2.9) can be found on needrom.com - just search for DG550.

Did you try these sims on another phone.
Sometimes Mobile network itself deny registration of the sim in the network due to some issues.
This happens often when you use a super sim which is used to bypass sim lock.
It can easily be resolved by putting the sim on another phone and resister in the network manually.

Yes, I did all this steps. First time I changed the Imei with Mtk engineering mode other time with MTK droid Tools, but the problem is the same.
When a run Antutu X it's restart in the same part after the mini droid, a screen like fireworks.
I'm using the original rom and I tried other three roms.

Contact Doogee and check if you still have warranty and send it back, your phone is not normal. I have no issues at all with mine, works perfect, even the loudspeaker is clear and loud (something which has previously been criticized).
Maybe you have a fake version. Do you have the mark on the side of the box you can scratch? to verify that it is original Doogee product?

I don't know where you have read that. But in the Doogee Dagger DG550 treads I have been following people have had no problems with the screen. And actually the screen is really good, and the sensitivity is much better than on some other Chinese phones - I have never read about anyone having screen problems. So I don't agree with that, actually this phone is really good for the very low price. And Doogee also have supported it really good.

The DG550 screen is lovely. I did manage to get a small scrape on the screen just before my case arrived, but it is really great quality.
On the subject of phone signals, I have two SIMS in mine and can get a 3G signal with either of them. The only strange thing is that, with my Virgin SIM (my main account), t works perfectly except when I'm at home. When at home, the phone thinks that I'm roaming! (Roaming is off on my account). Yesterday I was out with a good H+ signal, got home and it switched back to roaming. I can force it to reconnect an all is well, but a bit later it thinks its roaming again! Can still use data, calls and SMS and they do not show up as roaming on my account!
No problem with my Sainsbury's SIM. This is my second Virgin SIM (the first got confused when it received my old number). Both have exhibited the same weirdness.

Some carriers use internal roaming to lower the costs, its kind of weird. But how it is. The roaming problem your talking about has probably nothing to do with the phone, but more your SIM / carrier / provider.
bugee kitkat
yesterday i upgraded my dg 550 to official kitkat and i discovered some serious bugs. First my dagger makes reboot when i plug it in for charging!! Second the charging is making too much, i plug it in 4 pm with 18% and 7 pm is 70% which is too long.
In the previous 4.2.9 the dagger was 100% in less than 2 hours!
This is for me a reason to get back to 4.2.9
Now the thing that i like is ,changing the ebr files , having 7 gb space for apps. So if i downgrade could i change also the ebr files in 4.2.9 , or it want be possible?
I also received this nice phone and I am very satisfied with it. It come with 4.4.2 android_4.4_2014/09/25, but it is not rooted. I try several diferent ways to rootit but no succes. Framaroot, RootGenius, Towelroot, Baiduroot, but nothing works. Is there any way to root it without changing original rom? I also want to install TWRP or CWM for latter work with flashing roms and to make backup . Any help, please!
