I've recently upgraded to the latest release of LeeDroid with the Gingerbread Sense on my Desire.
Everything seems to work fine other than the fact that sometimes when I press the home button to return to the "middle" of the five home screens my Sense launcher gets "reset"... that is to say, the friendstream widget, twitter widget, calendar widget, mail widget and news widget on the various home screens all go blank and I have to manually go to each one and wait for the content to reload.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and how to resolve it?

Bit of a strange one, Friend Stream app is still on my phone but there is no option to add the widget. Only mod I have done is the Modaco Root, not a custom ROM or anything.
Any ideas?
Actually, on closer inspection all HTC widgets have disappeared leaving just the Android widgets. Any ideas what could have happened?
Did you use any 3rd part launcher app? ( HelixLauncher, launcher pro , etc. )
If you use those instead of the default HTC Sense, you can't add HTC widget to the homescreens.
No I don't use any 3rd party launchers but I've worked it out now. I just had to clear the HTC Sense application data, which annoyingly reset all of my home screens back to factory but restored the widgets too.
thanks for finding that out. just had it happen to me..
Hi,
I have the 3x1 (?) calendar widget on my home screen and a couple of times I have remved my phone from my dock I have inadvertently touched the screen and the phone has gone straight to adding a new calendar entry. I am assuming that I have touched the calendar app somewhere to do this but I cannot replicate it!
Any ideas?
TIA,
Timmo
Ok, so I'm using Launcher pro Plus along with Smooth Calendar and The LPP Calendar widget on another home screen.
For some reason, my SGS totally hung and I got the low memory warning. I checked my applications list and I see 'calendar storage' taking nearly 97 mb. I cleared the data and re-started my phone, got my calendar synched again and I see that it's 1.57 mb. Is that memory leak because of LPP? Or smooth calendar? I'm using the latest version of LPP in which the known Calendar memory usage problem has been fixed.
Any help?
i guess thats from calendar
in case it helps; if it does reocure; do look at the bat usage see if you can figure out which is runing the most ; maybe it can help seek out the faulty soft.
ps; i use LPP and only its widgets.. i dont have any memory leeks.. but start ups are usually acompanied by a FC and relaunch of LPP.
hope you find your prob.
This probably does not seem like a big deal but it's driving me nuts.
The HTC agenda/calendar widget causes sense to crash every time it loads.
Yes, I have tried the android one and Pure Calendar Widgets etc but they are not the same.
I was going to try digging the HTC Calendar widget out of the 1.20 Stock ROM to see if it will install. Anyone know if that's likely ?
I don;t want to be a whiner but I'm kinda mad some of the crap HTC pull. In this latest release I've lost the two widgets I used most, the news widget and the agenda widget

you are right...I am also facing the same BUG, sense is rebooting one we select the calander/agenda widget....
Regards,
Isn't that only if you have your Facebook calendar syncing before adding the widget though? Possibly because it's having to add too many events?
Agenda widget working fine here with two calendars syncing - plus you can add the FB calendar once the widget is on screen.

No. I am only showing 1 calendar in the agenda widget and it's not the facebook one. It's my exchange calendar.
The bug seems to be linked to the number of appointments you have.
Mine worked fine for the first few days and then this morning started crashing. This is because now that the easter holidays are almost over my work diary for next week is really full, hence lots of appointments etc.
If I change the widget to only show the facebook calendar or only show tasks etc it works fine.

Damn. That does not seem to be working.
I;'ve got the system image out of the rom but I can't extract it using unyaffs.
Any pointers from any of you android chef genuises ?
Maybe someone could just extract and post the agenda widget apk and I will test ?
Cheers.
I had the same problem once. I have 2 calendars synced + facebook.
I removed the widget and re-add it and it's working.
I saw an other bug : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590772
Fix Found (Sort of...)
I have found a fix for this.
If I tell the widget to "Show All Calendars" it's fine.
If i tell it to only show one, even if that's the only calendar with any events in it, it causes Sense to crash.
Guess I'll just tell it to show all calendars
Strange - show all causes mine to crash as it then includes Facebook.
If I just use my work exchange and Google calendars it works fine and I'd imagine there's more than 20 entries in those?

I am using the standard Android widget (the 2x3 one) and it annoyingly doesn't seem to update. When I add items to my calendar they do not show up and sometimes the widget shows a day behind the actual date.
There also seems to be no refresh button for this widget. Is there a way to do that and does anyone else have this problem?
Ahhhhh ! Fixed in the 1.28 OTA update. Sweet, sweet bugfix

Note 4 Dev ed.
Rooted but no roms, just Titanium freezing some bloat.
I have noticed that when I try to set a Calendar Widget for the date, or to get it to show me upcoming appts and such, the on screen widget stays on whatever was live at the time I create the widget. So I noticed today that the widget showed it was "WED Apr 15" which was when I created it. I installed a 3rd party calendar widget to try to get the appts to update and display and it did the same thing, only displaying appts from the day/week I added it.
Weather widgets do the same thing, I have tried the built in one as well as the Weatherbug widget and only if I actually launch the app do I get updated info.
Is there a setting I may have inadvertently turned off? What can I do to fix this?
Same issue here. Third party widgets don't work, won't update. Starbucks, sol calender, beautiful widgets, etc. I'm stock on lollipop.
Help?
Im using Ricks Rom Lollipop and third party Widgets are working perfectly (as is everything else), i used the one rom method for lollipop then did Ricks Rom and things have been perfect. I had issues with the one rom method (Bluetooth and other things), you might want to check into a new rom.
I don't have the development version. Stock retail verizon here.
Up? Hello... Anyone?
