Hello again, i have a rooted/S-OFF Desire HD and tonight i attempted to flash a new kernel using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=852357 and following the instructions.
I flashed the Lee's Kernel 3.1.1 found in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077180. After the flash, module appliance and reboot, all seemed fine but i got a wifi error. Each time i tried to turn on the wifi all i got was error.
There was a similar if not same issue in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=852357 but the OP resolved it via re-flash, and no actual answer was given
are there any ways and methods i can work this around and regain my wifi access?
Thnx in advance for your time!

Any way to get rid of the revolutionary hboot back to normal and s-on back ever since i did this my wifi worked a couple of days then stopped working says error i flashed latest RUU and still no luck on wifi opened up to make sure all contacts were being made every thing ok the only thing i can account for is maybe the revolutionary so i want to get rid of it is there a solution yet for evo. i know the HTC desire has a solution but does evo
There are a few guides here in development. Just use the search button. Search "unrooting guide". Just a heads up, you'll want to post future questions over in the Q&A section. Development is usually reserved for active ROM, Kernel and guide activity. You may also try searching through here for a solution other than unrooting. Check the thread for the ROM you're running and see if anyone else has a fix for the WiFi problem. Hope this was a help!

I would try flashing calkulins combo file with the latest radios, and see if that fixes your wifi. Also, if you flashed a rom and then flashed a custom kernel, the kernel could of borked your wifi. When you flashed the latest ruu, is your sd card partitioned? Did you make sure you wiped everything atleast 3 times in recovery before flashing anything?

Hi guys.
I tried to s-off my phone and it failed at the last step, I was waiting for the on screen instructions but they never appear, my phone just booted as normal.
How do I get the questions? I'm using the latest dl from alpha rev, currently on seb aio 5.0.4 with latest superuser. The only thing I can see is my rom isn't very stock, ie it takes ages to boot which I think caused it to time out waiting for the commands.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Just to clarify this isn't a brick fix, my phone is fine.

Hi
ROOTED STOCK ROM is highly recommended to prevent any problems... any data2sd script are not working... revert to stock and try again
I had this problem the first time I s-off'd my Desire. I was using my laptop and it kept falling over. I then tried it on another tower pc I have and it worked like a charm. Strange because under normal Windows conditions the laptop USB worked normally.

Thanks guys, that's good to know, my rom is rooted but ill find a stock gingerbread to try and get it going. I did it from my tower PC, XP pro 32bit.
Does the version of super user or busy box matter?
Any advice on a good stock rom for it?
sent from my desire running seb's aio rom
If you want a stock gingerbread then the HTC devs site has one that is fully stable although look around xda custom roms and see if one takes your fancy. If you are willing to go for an ICS rom then i would advise getting Sandvold's rom as it has been stable for me since the 4.2.1 update.
Will my old froyo backup do the job?

LeeDrOiD ROM was 'stock'-enough-ish for me to get my S-Off.
Did it on my Ubuntu box though which worked much better because of the drivers.

Hi guys,as the title says i cannot flah rom.
Well i can flash them but every rom has problem,I tried PAC,CM,SlimBean nothing work(or if it works,no more than one day or 2)
CM gives me MD5 errors, slimBean UI keep crashing,PAC every time i try to flash something in recovery(after flashing the rom)keep rebooting and stays on loop.
I know i mentioned specific roms and whatnot but at this time i don't think it's rom related(or recovery,i tried 3 different recovery),the only thing working flawlessly is the stock rom with root.
You guys have some advice? i've had the phone for about 5 months now and i wanted to try out roms but apparently i can't.
Cheers
Dave
Did you wipe everything when you flash new ROM?

the first time with CM no because i followed a guide which didn't.
But with PAC and SlimBean yeah i wiped everything.
The first time with PAC recovery went bad(i guess)and didn't let me wipe or flash anything,i flashed a stock tft repeated the process, the flash worked but as i reboot and tried to flash the on screen button it gave me the same recovery error.
maybe i do something wrong,i came from an HTC desire HD and the whole process was easier and less problematic
Fastboot the opensemc kernel beta2 kernel and then try again. Some people were having problems with flashing and Rayman has fixed it in his kernel apparently

Phone: HTC ONE V (Virgin Mobile, CDMA)
Radio: 1.00.00.0928
Recovery: TWRP 2.2.0
ROM: myOne 9.5
Hi! I'm having a very frustrating issue wherein my phone randomly restarts after booting it up. I installed the myOne 9.5 ROM and it worked fine. But then I tried to install a CM9 ROM and it started doing the restarting. After a few times of this it did actually boot, and seemed to be working, but restarted after probably 30 seconds and just kept doing that. So I tried to switch back to the myOne ROM, but it did the same thing. So instead I tried flashing a stock ROM and kernel. No dice. Same thing.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong here or how to get it working again. When I flash the ROMs I follow this order: wipe Dalvik, cache, system, factory reset, flash ROM, reboot to fastboot, flash boot image.
Should I be doing something differently? Thank you for listening and any help you can provide would be much appreciated.
Your problem is your radio. You need either to run the ruu for your carrier, which is what I had to do, or puck a Rom with ota support. I know that there are a few in the development thread that are confirmed working.

i don't think that it is the radio, because the ROM I was using worked just fine before I tried flashing the other one.
When you flashed myone, it is a sense kernel....they just added support for ota yesterday. Rhythmic Rom should work as well and may save toy from even needing to run ruu.

Thank you both for the help. You were right, it was the radio. For any other noob who finds this thread with the same problem AND the same phone (make sure you don't use this file if you're GSM): I fixed the problem by relocking the bootloader and running the RUU (search for: RUU_PRIMO_C_ICS_40A_Sprint_WWE_VM_1.08.652.6_Radio _1.00.00.0521_2_NV_VM_3.46_0503_PRL61008_release_2 62414_signed.exe)
This got me back to stock and reverted the radio to an older version that is compatible with most of the ROMs.
Again, thanks everyone for the help.
Great job.....now have fun!

It's a problem with the new base, quick search would of showed you that.
Only fix so far is to use a custom kernel.

thanks for reply and would you recommend specific kernel and how to install that would be a great help

Alex-v kernel is the one I would recommend atm.
Guides for flashing all over the place on my phone right now so can't find links but you need fastboot files and the kernel.
Flash the boot.img in fastboot and the kernel zip in recovery.

This has solved my WIFI issues !
CWM wifi update
Hi all' ,
My first question here so go easy. I have installed maximushd 21 and received the OTA for wifi fix. I have CWM installed and need some basic instruction on how to install it. I have read other posts but can't seem to get my head around it. Do I download it to my phone and then enter CWM and install from download folder or have I missed the boat?
Thanks
