Hey guys,
I have an unrooted HTC Desire that seems to have developed the dreaded motherboard issue.
Im trying to unroot in order to send it back in, but whenever I try installing an RUU (downloaded from shipped-roms.com) the Installshield gives me an error "-5001 : 0x80070002"
I can't seem to find out whats causing this error, but any help would be appreciated.
For what its worth, I'm running an MIUI ROM.
Downloaded another file and it worked. Unrooted and everything is working fine.

Hi,
I flashed the ROM to my Desire HD and the ROM boot correctly. If I want to restart the phone I got the message that I will loose all temp files.
After I restored all my applications and data with titanium bake up I rebooted phone. After phone booted I got the message of an unexpected interruption of the process android acore and can't do nothing else than restore to my previous ROM.
Obviously my phone is rooted with radio S-off, I followed the procedure for flash the ROM as shown on the instruction but I don't really know why I got that error message.
Any help?
Thanks
So the Girlfriends US Virgin Mobile PrimoC was running slow so she turned to her nerd boyfriend to help. Nerd boyfriend to the rescue I set out to root and install AOKP and after messing with this thing for 10 hours I'm stuck. I used the All-in-One Tool kit to root and install a new Rom. First I tried AOKP, but ran into the 1-minute restart issue, didn't know why so I tried PAC and the phone kept restarting every minute or so. Did some more searching and found that the restarting was due to the updated Radio. Found a tutorial thread for downgrading the radio by taking the RUU, extracting the rom.zip file, renaming it PK75IMG.zip placing it in the root of my sdcard and flashing in the bootloader. Did that, loaded up AOKP again and the restart issue was gone but I have no service now. It seems the radio is getting a signal, but it will not give me any service. I then just ran the full RUU from the computer, it completed without error and we are back on the stock Rom with downgraded radio. She still does not have any service. Tried downloading a different RUU (same RUU but from a different server) and still can not get any service.
Any suggestions?

sometimes this happens to me when i reflash a new rom try to re activate the phone through the virgin mobile app when your phone is stock again. then change roms i personally dont use the all in one toolkit to flash i just flash the rom with recovery then bootload and flash the kernel that matches the rom. i dont know much about ruu ive never had to do it so sorry im not much help but try that.
I did a restore of my One-X to stock rom according to this tutorial.
http://design-extreme.net/restore-ht...-to-stock-rom/
This all went well and without problems. The RUU I flashed is this one.
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Ra dio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed
When I now startup the phone it all works perfect. Then the phone says there is an OTA (to 3.20 I believe)
I download and install the OTA and the phone restarts, but after restarts the phone's touchscreen does not work anymore.
I solved this for now by installing the 3.14RUU again, then it works again. But of course I would like to be able to install the OTA's
To me it sounds like a driver problem in the new version that prevents the touchscreen from working. Anyone have idea how to solve this?
I tried different boot.img after the OTA update but none of them solved the problem. Somebody here who has a good idea?

Kicking my own question. No-One who has an idea or thought? I've tried everything I could think off and would appreciate some fresh thoughts.
I have almost the same problem now. I was running CWM 10.2 with the TWRP recovery and reverted back to stock using a backup from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
The installation went fine, but touch isn't working anymore. What could be wrong? I would like to have my phone back to stock and use the OTA from HTC.
Hi guys,
Ive had the M8 since it was released and for the last few months it's been rebooting for no particular reason. I receive the HTC error report message after it has rebooted, The Log file always shows the same two messages "wcnss crash shutdown 0" and "set_restart_reason: set restart reason = 776655aa". I would post the log here but i'm not sure how to copy it form the phone. I have tried a factory reset which did not help.
I believe the issues started after the OTA to 4.16.401.10, I was hoping that 4.16.401.13 would solve the issue but it hasn't. I was planning to reflash stock RUU 4.16.401.13 but i cant find this anywhere, and the phone is S-ON and unrooted so other roms are not possible at the moment.
Has anyone had a similar problem or know what I can try to fix the issue.
Thanks.
I just recently got myself the m8 and am having a little problem with it. I was able to root, s-off and unlock it with no problems. What I am having trouble with is when I try to RUU back to stock for the 6.0 upgrade it will not work. The issue I am having is that upon running the exe, it starts throwing a dialog box with "Click here to next dialog!" I tried running the VC 2008 and repair but it did not fix it. Curious if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this. Win10 64bit.
Edit: So I tried using my Win7 machine and it ran fine without the crazy dialog box. Seems Win10 doesn't like the RUU program?
