I had this issue too a while back when I ran Myn's. What I did was extract the zip using root explorer, then manually installing the apk for it. Drove me nuts till I found a way to do it.

I'm getting force closes with the new market when it opens. I had the issue before and somehow got it to work, but I do not remember how. I know that other people have had this issue as well. I have searched and haven't been able to find any solutions. I need market!

Try going into Settings-Applications-All-Market-Clear Data and Clear Cache then reboot your phone.

Have tried that but no luck

Here you go try using astro or something and open that zip and try updating if that doesn't work just flash that zip in recovery.

Swyped from Eva running Myn's RLS4!
Check and see if the permissions are correct.
I had this issue and come to find out, the permissions weren't correct.

For some reason I can't flash my radio/wimax/pri to the latest versions for some reason, I boot into ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0 and run the .zip file and it looks like it's running and it says updating radios for a split second then it takes me back to recovery.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
I think you have to reboot before it flashes the images
I have tried first flashing the rom and then reboot into recovery and flash the .zip file but it still does the same thing, run for a split second and then go back to recovery and when I boot and check the radio version iit shows no change

Try using a lower version of clockworkmod... lots of problems for people with the versions 3+. I currently use 2.6.0.1 and everything works perfectly. 3+ is meant for the newest of new Rom's like Cyanogen 7... if your not on that, flash an older version.
P.s. stick with 2.6.0.1 as it backs up your wimax keys...
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I will give that a shot. Thanks for the help!
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
In rom manager it only shows 2.5.0.7
Is there a link to how to flash to 2.6.0.1?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Yes I'm on my evo so I'm not going go searching for it... but you should be able to find it fairly easy. If I remember correctly I had to get the correct file, then rename it to pc3600.img then boot into bootloader and it will auto find it and ask you if you want to start the update.
Or you could just use the version that Rom Manager has but it wont back up your wimax and if you somehow lose that you'll hate your life...

After some research I found an image and some steps to flash the recovery. After that the install and radio updates went flawless. I really appreciate the advice!

Im not sure wat I did but now when I try to flash anything it keep saying "update aborted" and update "Edify Script". Any ideas on how to fix it??
Im Running Myns RSL 5 if that helps any
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
That error is because you're using CWM 3.0+ and only uses edify scripting and the file was compiled with Amend scripting [old]. You would need to downgrade to an older version of clockwork, 2.x.x, or switch to amon_ra 2.3
I actually prefer amon over clockwork. Easiest way to switch is with Rom manager from the market. Just hit the flash alternate recovery button
Sent from "The EVO" using XDA Premium
is there another way to swtich recovery.....Rom manager premium does not have the option of flash alternate recovery available for me
EDIT-nvm sorry I found it.
Sorry your having such difficulties, once this is all figured out though itll all come easy to ya. See if you can tryTHIS
Thanx for ya help guys, its worked out great..

In a nut shell they are the same. Some have better luck with one than the other. I originally started with clock but it gave me problems so i switched to amon. So which ever one works for you then keep it. Both can wipe both can nandroid but I think only amon and back your RSA keys, unless clock is updated now.
EDIT: conqu1stador informed me that both recoveries backup your rsa keys.
Yeah before that was the draw but both backup the keys now unless something changed again.

Sorry my head was not in it cuz of the NFL draft...but yeah I'm talking about the sprint navigation app...nothing is wrong with the far home but I just feel like the sprint navigation is better...I just want to know if the sprint navigation will work well with cm7 nightly...n if so how do I go about getting it on my evo again.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
No, Sprint Navigation requires Sense, which cm7 doesnt have.
Here is the Sprint Nav with Telenav integrated. Works flawlessly on my CM7. Just wipe dalvik/cache and flash the zip like you would a rom.
View attachment Sprint_Navigator_GB.zip
Or you can extract it using root explorer and just install the .apk in the app folder.

You need to flash an older version of clockworkmod recovery, or flash amon_ra 2.3.

If you have a file explorer you can unzip it. Once unzipped, open the system folder of the extracted file, then open the "app" folder. It will be the only folder there. The .apk will be in that folder. Just click on it and install. No flashing needed

Haven't run into this issue specifically, but you can try updating your Superuser binary whether it says it's up to date or not.
It's under the Tools menu in the SU app.
OK there was an update. I see one option failed? Is this important? What is it?

Mounting system as read only. Fail is okay.
Hi,
Maybe not a (your) solution but sometimes Superuser really sucks ,like many I have had problems with it so I switched to Super SU,no more issues

Could be a Rom Manager issue, does it do it any other time? I've never used RM personally so can't confirm.
It does it when I try and backup/restore and reboot in recovery. I Aldo tried restoring and it didn't have the md5 sums matched up.

Having the same issue
I feel ya buddy, I keep having superuser stop/crash while trying to do anything but flash CWM. Really annoying.
Running ICS 4.04 on GNex (Verizon)
ROM Manager hardly (if ever) works. I'm starting to regret having bought the premium version.
I've read a few places that rom manager and cwm don't 'get along' very well, that's if you're using cwm of course

If that is true, it's a damn shame, considering clockworkmod recovery and ROM Manager are both made by the same developer. (Koushik Dutta)

It isn't exactly a problem...
And non-native app will cause this.
Superuser is granting SU access to allow the phone to reboot.
So as soon as it's granted the process is killed...causing it to throw an error.
It isn't a problem.
Problem solved

The problem was that the reboot returned Andy on his back with a red triangle in his servicehatch, no matter what I did..
Your ultimate guide (awesome guide by the way:good gave me a hint that the problem wasn't with superuser, but with my flashed cwm. I manually reflashed cwm, reflashed superuser. I dumped the su.zip file I had used and replaced it with the file in your guide. A bootloop later, all is good and up and running
Now running CM9 and ADW.
Thx alot for your awesome guide, I will recommend it for everyone looking for the basics, like me.
