Any one see a good places to buy cleaning cloths, i'd perfere the 'silky' feel kind.
I just use the cloth that comes with my glasses, works great.
I use any lens cleaning cloth, go to a camera store or a Glasses store, also there are those pouches that are made of the same stuff there nice to put they phone in
i use the cloth which i got with my mom's glasses. i think they r the best

I've just removed my screen protector and phone cover and there's a bunch of crud around the edges of the screen. I'm afraid to slide anything under the frame for fear of damagning something. How are you all cleaning yours?

I use the thin plastic toothpicks that have a 45 degree on one side. They're bendable and flex with slightest resistance. Great for cleaning between screen and case. There is a pretty big gap between the screen and faceplate so alot of debris can get trapped in there. As long as the spongy black insulation foam is in good shape I dont see putting anything in edges to be a harmful to it.
Any recommendations for weekly cleaning of the EVO? I picked up some Windex for Electronics wipes and some baby powder to prevent "oil slicks" when using my Ballistic case. The Windex is supposed to help with anti-static and help keep dust and dirt off of the screen. I've tried alcohol wipes and eyeglasses solution from Costco, water. They help a little.
Not sure about some of the pricier options like ZAGG foam.

Windex will work a lil bit tho don't want it to get in the ports. If your using a ballastic case no need for baby powder if you have a screen protector already on your phone it fills the air pocket between the screens so no oil slick effect I had the same case.
Cleaning products seem excessive. Just need a dry cloth or lightly soaked with water to wipe it down. Your phone doesn't get that dirty, does it?
Is this for real???? It is a piece of glass, surrounded by plastic. You don't need anything special to clean it. Windex or any other normal clean and paper towel will clean it. Stop trying to make this more special and complicated than it is.

I took off the anti-glare screen protector that was included in the case (not the outer clear screen). So now it's just the screen pressing against the outer clear screen. The baby powder trick works well. Apply baby powder. Then wipe up with a wet cloth. No oil slicks so far.

I'm a bit of a neat freak. I like my evo and case as clean as possible. I'm trying an anti-static wipe to cut down on the dust inside and outside of my case. Hopefully, that'll help.
yeah I have been using isopropyl alcohol and I have had no issues. I would be careful with windex. Some of the bottles will have ammonia in it and that is know to cloud certain plastics/poly-ish things. Like no windex on tinted windows, as that can cloud the cars window tint.
Just a microfiber cloth and a amonia free cleaner here , I think I use glass plus its amonia free . I clean mine daily , I work in the heat and dirt so my screen protector is contstantly greasy either from oil from machines or from my face when I make a phone call . This cleans it up rather well .
50/50 isopropyl alch and water, i spritz it in to the air and move the phone's screen through the mist so there won't be too much overspray, it should be plenty. Then i hit it with one of those yellow costco microfibers, does the trick every time.
I stay away from windex for electronics as iso is enough to get fingerprints and grease off.
I guess I'll have to settle for the alcohol Costco wipes. They're like 200 small packets for $8.39. Are they safe to use on lcd screens?

Baby powder trick only lasts for a few days and is annyoing when your in direct sunlight or indrect light looks milky.
the screen itself is not the lcd panel, but a glass digitizer on top of the screen, so yes, anything that is gentle enough for an lcd directly will work on the glass....since its glass.
I use spit and my shirt lol. It gets the job done.

The A100 seems to pick up smudges more than anything else I own.
My phone, which is smaller but otherwise looks nearly identical and shares a Gorilla Glass screen, doesn't pick up fingerprints nearly as easily nor obviously.
I've tried cleaning with an eyeglass cleaner (which works great on the phone), a drop of liquid hand soap and others and nothing seems to be a particularly good solution.
I've generally use a soft microfiber cloth, although I've experimented carefully with cotton terry and soft paper.
Has anyone found anything that cleans well and perhaps resists smudges?
Ever tried a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water? That and a paper towel picks up oils very well, and if you don't douse the paper towel with the solution leaves it nice and shiny. Nothing I can think of which resists smudges, at least not until the Max Planck institute manages to make that soot-derived coating work.
I use a foaming automotive glass cleaner and a paper towel.
The smudges were bothering me terribly, too, until I added a GreatShield matte screen protector a couple of months ago. Since then, reflections are greatly diminished, and smudges a thing of the past.

Got the same thing, works great. Definitely reduced glare, and much less fingerprints showing after use. I normally just use a slightly damp microfiber cloth to wipe when I need to.

Even though the screen is Gorilla Glass, I didn't think of using an actually glass cleaner. Too much Plexiglas in my life, I guess.
I found one automotive cleaner/shiner in my garage that works okay, but ordered the matte GreatShield today. I'm just hoping I can get it on cleanly without dust underneath.
I've been disappointed with skins on my phone. (Clarivue and Zagg were two brands that were both a waste of money with inferior products and poor customer service.)

Cleans really nice, cuts down the glare and finger smudges are kept at bay for days.
i use Endust LCD and Plasma wipes
i wipe off the excess moisture with whatever those little screen cleaning rags are called
it gets my screen squeaky clean

Yep LCD pannel cleaner spray and a micro-fiber towel works well to clean it(untill you touch it again). Though I would say in the long run a shield that keeps it from getting smudged in the first place seems like the best solution.

i agree a screen protector is a must
Will be buying a screen protector this weekend, feel like it's time, haven't used a screen protector since like 09 on my dark iPhone days.
I clean mine with household polish, the stuff that says is fine for electronics and glass, it leaves a pretty good friction free finish - I've tried alsorts on my tablet to keep it clean, Brasso gadget clean, LCD panel stuff, generic gadget cleaning stuff. Turns out bog standard polish is the best for me

I have found this microfiber cloth to work very well:

I wet the corner of the cloth with water and wipe once with the wet end. Then I do a few quick wipes with the dry end the screen is like new.
My front facing camera is FILTHY. I can't clean it with a cloth because it's tiny and the plastic kind of blocks the lens. How do you guys clean it? I tried a cue-tip and it didn't really do it.
Hi, try putting a few drops of water to a cotton bud and clean it. That works for me.
used a paper clip with a tiny bit of a wet tissue on the end. just jam it in and move it around a bit
I was afraid of scratching it. What I ended up doing was wrapping a regular cleaning cloth (like the ones you get with screen protectors) around an old plastic stylus I had lying around (which has a really soft edge, so it wouldn't have scratched it too much) and it worked relatively well. What is it you're trying to clean off? I use alcohol swabs a couple times a day on my phone front and back and have for every phone in the past several years. I am a germaphobe though. It works really well. Never damaged anything before. I am sure it's not great for the leather, but I'll worry about that if I see any damage then.
I would not use alcohol, especially rubbing alcohol. (there are numerous different types of alcohol). Rubbing alcohol will dry out and crack the leather it may not happen right away but it will happen if used frequently. By the time you start to see any damage it will be too late. If you have a serious stain and are dead set in using alcohol buy some isopropyl alcohol and do a 50/50 mix of that and water.
I would use leather cleaner and moisturizer. My wife has been using Coach products on her leather Coach purses for years and her purses that are 20 years old still look like new:

I would also stay away from leather car seat cleaner as car seats are a bit more rugged than the leather used on the phones. (the only car seat product I would consider using is Leatherique, but it is insanely expensive).
Just my $.02 worth
