how to install themes

sorry om new to this phone i got it rooted with the cm 4.1.11.1, firmware 1.6,build number DRC63....wanna know how to install themes n change keyboards? help please

put the theme on your sd, reboot to recovery and flash it.
and ask in Q&A

just because it is a question does not mean it hasn't been answered before.

its called a sticky, maybe you have heard of them, i assume not though since your question is the FIRST thing that guide says.
OMG it evens says read before clicking new thread.
there are 11 posts in that link, 7 of them completely inconsequential.

i was previously running CM 5.0.8 and i loved the theme. now i dont know much about themes, but can it be transfered to CM6? how would i do this? TY

How do I install themes for CM6??

Can I use a theme from any phone or does it have to be specifically for the slide? Also is there a thread somewhere with a bunch of themes?

Themes for the espresso rom do not work on vanilla roms, there are themes from acejoker that will work for cm6. Every phone has its own theme section, there's a couple in ours.

They have to be flashed through recovery mode(clockwork), the same way you flash roms.

That wont work since it has to be used w/ metamorph app and the slide can't use metamorph till we get S-off. You'll have to stick with themes made specifically here.

[Q] AOKP Build 40 Download?

I've gone to teh AOKP site but nothing is there. Just says read on about this build....

Anyone able to help me find this?
Also, I've hear Rom Manager is unsafe to use for Rom Flashing so what about Rom Toolbox Pro?
I still have not installed my first Rom and I just want it to go well.
Also if anyone can point me to any other files needed for Build 40 AOKP I'd be greatful.

Make sure to read up before flashing a ROM. Make sure it is for your device.
If you have a sprint SGS3 go to original dev section and look for AKOP.

Ok I found the AOKP thread. I am not sure how to fully go about this. Is there a firmware I need for this? Also, could someone explain firmware to me as in do you need it for Roms? Do firmwares just change speed? What is their purpose?

Don't mean to sound like an a-hole but do a little search.

[ROM] [CyanogenMod11] [Nightly] [GT-I9500] Improved Build

Today i came with CyanogenMod 11 Nightly GT-I9500
But the special thing about this version is more STABLE & IMPROVED than the before
the previous was missing some colors is the videos and microphone problems, But this was color IMPROVED
if You Are Coming From Stock !
You Will Need :
1- Rooted Device & Custom Recovery
2- Download CyanogenMod
3- Download Gapps for 4.4.2
How To Install :
1- Go to recovery mode
2- wipe/factory data reset & wipe cache
3- Flash the rom Zip From External or Internal
4- Flash Gapps
5- Reboot System
If You Are Coming From Older CyanogenMod 11 :
1- Download CyanogenMod
2- Go To Recovery
3- Install Zip From External or Internal
You Are Ready To Go Have Fun

And OP, no your thread is in the correct section - it shouldn't go in Original Development as there is already a thread there and this ROM is not your own development so it definitely shouldn't go in OD.

Rule 4, please use the English Langauge... tbh I'm not sure that what you typed qualifies as English
There did used to be a rule as part of rule 2 that stated not to use inappropriate use of capitol letters or caps lock, I will ask the admins to reinstate that :highfive:

the same link because after a while the Rom that i want will be deleted from the update center
so you just download the lastest one
and you can see what im talking about if you look at the name of the Updates you will see different Date & Time
