Less sensitive touch screen on Froyo?

Has anyone else noticed the sensitivity change from Eclair (stock T-Mobile) to Froyo (DeFrost 2.5a)?
It requires much more screen contact now.
Anyone else?
Honestly when I had the OTA update to froyo with sense, didnt notice any difference, however once I rooted and installed DeFrost, I did have a feeling touch wasn't as sensitive........ But simply thought I was going cuckoo, I'm already use to it!
I certainly haven't seen this problem on my desire, my screen is still so sensitive that i don't even need to touch the screen (i can hover 1mm away and it registers a click)

[Q] Fix for Trackpad Sensitivity?

Are there any ROMs out there that have fixed or tackled the trackpad sensitivity issue that causes the cursor to bounce all over the place? I'm sure most G2 owners are aware of this condition in certain lighting...it makes texting in sunlight extremely frustrating
i was wonderin da same thing recently. da touch pad SUCKS onda G2 i never even use it
it's actually pretty useful sometimes when you want to move back a few characters but it's rendered useless under certain lights. Even when you're not using it, it drastically effects not only texting but general usage of the phone by trying to select things on its own.

Disable trackpad

On my HTC Desire my trackpad had a horrible habit of randomly generating inputs.
Generally it is isolated to a couple of minutes and then it settles again but for those couple of minutes it is rather infuriating. It makes me deselect text, navigates around webpages, switches my home screen and all sorts of things I don't want it to do.
It has done this since I got the phone really and seeing as it is an intermittent fault I couldn't be bothered chasing it up. So it is a hardware fault as far as I can tell being that it occurred on the stock rom, then on RCMix and F1 Ginger.
I'm currently running Oxygen, bravo hboot, s-off. And was basically wondering if there was a way to permanently disable the track pad as I could live without. Soft disabling would be just as good as I could just switch out off when it goes mental.
Any ideas, thanks!
hi
i just saw the thread. I disabled the trackpad of the desire before. the way i did it was to disable the kernel module in the kernel-conifguration. then i compiled it and it worked. but you won't have the option the enable or disable it by software.
here is a link to the tread with some kernels: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=981242&highlight=trackball
if you are interested in another kernel i will try to build an update for you.

[Q] Touchscreen Issues

So for the entire year and a half I have had my T-mobile G2 (aka HTC Desire Z) my touch screen has had issues.
It seems to happen mostly when I am doing something memory intensive, but not always.
My screen either goes completely unresponsive to touches or acts like only 1 touch is performing “pinch to zoom”.
To remediate this issue I have to hit my top power button to turn the screen off and then back on, but this is just a temporary fix.
It does seem to last a little bit longer before starting this behavior if I do a complete reboot.
My phone is still usable but this is an ultra-annoying issue that I believe should be able to be fixed. I have used task killers and messed with the performance options in cyanogenmod to no avail.
This has happened on the stock ROM and every other rom I have ever run. I am currently on Andromadus Alpha (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1349864).
Thanks for any help in advance.
I have the same problem since its new.
It does it when the screen is dirty too.
Makes a huge difference when I'm using my old moto milestone, the screen is more responsive.

Touch Screen Problem

Hello, this only started happening recently, I havent changed anything system wise for weeks.
Occaisionally the touch screen will go really weird ; anything that can be scrolled like the UI will jerk for right to left / up or down. The soft keys also only work by pressing the top half of them, the other is unresponsive.
All this can easily be fixed by locking and unlocking the phone. System or hardware do you think?
Please offer any ideas, it is becoming more frequent.

Does it do it when charging?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I don't know. I only charge it when I'm sleeping.
Hmm.. sometimes I have the same problem, but mostly when I'm playing Shadow Gun. Maybe it is heat related?
WiFi is always on when playing, stock ROM, rooted.
The device gets hot - yesterday it spontaneously rebooted, I think because of the heat.
I've had same issues with my one x ht23. Touch screen looses sensitivity it can happen when in use or when waking device. Flicking screen off and on a few times clears it. Same on various roms but random. Hoping its software issue.
Been doing it for a few weeks. Was fine to start with.
