Anyone in NYC found a case in a physical location? I'm in the city for the day and thought if anyone else found one worthwhile I'd grab it.
Thanks!

I am reading and learning. I am smart enough to realize I am in way over my head with this phone.
I bought it because I was told it was a very simple process to change the PRL on the phone when I was in an area that had horrible sprint service and could switch it to verizon and get my 3g.
I hear a lot of conflicting information now and am more confused than I was when I started (I think) hell I dont know...LOL...I'm a 40 year old man that should be able to figure these things out.
Basically, I think I need a mentor. It works for about everything else in the world.
Would anyone be willing to help me or at the very least point me in a direction to get reliable information.
Thank you,
Kafer
first of all. are you roaming in your area?
there is an app in the market for this....forgot the name though... :\
Im pretty desperate right now. Phone was stolen last night and is off. I need to find a way to turn it on remotely so I can use WheresMyDroid or AndroidLost on it to track it down. Is there a way to do this?
Or...
Is anyone in the Kansas City area looking to sell one or have an old Android phone I can buy?

Ouch sorry for your loss. As far as I know there isn't any way to turn it on remotely (hopefully someone could prove me wrong). Best you could do is keep trying the WheresMyDroid I guess.
Good luck
Unfortunately no there's no known method available for use that will enable you to remotely turn the phone on. If the thief has taken out the sim card let's hope he/she connects to a wifi network at least and has not formatted the phone, that way chances of locating it through wheresmydroid will be good. I'm sorry this has happened to you its just not fair at all. Can you not make an insurance claim on the phone?

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could help me. I have an HTC Desire HD which was originally on the 3 UK network but, I got the unlock code as I am on Talk Mobile UK (The Carphone Warehouse company Operated by Vodaphone).
I have noticed that randomly the phone's signal will drop to zero and I must restart it in order to get the signal back. I've tried putting it into Aeroplane mode and then taking it out again to see if that helps but to no benefit. I've tried leaving it for about an hour to see if it kicks back in but again nothing. The phone is not rooted or anything like that and there are no updates on the HTC website so, I am confused why my phone does this. Is anybody able to shed some light on this issue and let me know how to fix it? I've put some pictures here:

If that helps demostrate the radio working and no working. It also shows details about the Radio which I am using.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Many Thanks.
Did it function like this before it was unlocked? Maybe you need an updated radio?
Hi,
The phone was bought second hand and the day I got it, I unlocked it so never actually used it on 3 UK. I thought the radio might be the issue to but was hoping someone could confirm if thats how to rectify the issue.
Sorry if this isn't the place to ask but I've been googling and can't seem to find a concrete yes or no answer to whether this phone will work with Verizon or not. Can anyone confirm?
Hi, I'm having huge troubles with the signal on my Nexus 5X. I bought this phone a little more than a month ago and its signal have been bad since then. Right now it has completely lost the signal and I can't use it.
Some folks suggest me it could be a problem with the bands and maybe it could be modified someway and solve the problem. Please, I'm kind of desperate right now, and I'm want to make everything I can to solve this issue. The phone its very expensive for me and I don't want to lose that money.
A little more details: I live in Cuba and in some places in Havana the phone gets signal, but in other places it loses signal completely. I can't get warranty because a relative of mine bought the phone in the US and ini my country the warranty is not available.
If anyone have some idea that could help me, please, just point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

my first guess, are you using a case on top? what happens if you remove that case?
have you tried holding the phone differently? My mom holds her phone in such a way that signal is lost every time...(dead grip)
go to an area with good coverage, and check if signal has big fluctuations. without using a protective case
Thanks you very much for your really quick answer. I've done everything and no good resulst.
It's the same behavior with or without the case. In places with good coverage it suddenly lose the signal comletely too.
