Hmmm, so you have and EVO on AU in Japan? My phone is the US Sprint version and Thai is readable on it. Could you give me a Thai site URL for me to check? If typing in Thai is also needed here are some keyboards in the Market.

I think you can actually install the font file and German input if there is any.
Myself, for example, is using RRE's 6.5 Rom now, and I installed Chinese font and input. Those stuff works perfect.
sorry but i think you didnt understand me, i have a cooked rom from this page and i want to know as i can switch the language file from these roms (wwe) to a german language file.

I've been trying to install Chinese Fonts and input but ended up hard reset my Tilt2 a few times. Seems all the methods that I've tried messed up the key board. I've tried installing the CE Star and that still messed up the key board.
If your method is stable, would you please point me to the right direction?
do you guys think that changing the language in the "input menu" in advanced config can be successfull in my case --> for example, i've got an AZERTY keyboard (french unbranded rhod100) and i install a wwe rom, so in, english, but i want to be able to write an A by pressing A instead of seeing it put in a Q... dunno if anybody will my idea right, bad english sowwy guys!!?
so the rom stays in english but the input has to correspond to what's printed on my hardware keyboard :S
Hello,
I speak Hebrew and I wanted to know if there are Hebrew fonts built-in in the Desire. I'll be glad if someone could check his device (I get mine in a few days) Is there a possibility to replace to the Hebrew language or at least set to read Hebrew fonts.
Thanks in advance,
Yaniv
.
Hebrew and other right-to-left languages such as arabic and farasi are not supported built-in in the desire unfortunately.
technically, right-to-left is supported by android, but those languages are not there built-in.
AFAIK, you can only get the RTL languages by rooting the device and either install a custom ROM that has the language, or install the language by following some steps and installing some APKs and fonts (different from language to language)

Cooked ROMs from other android phones sometimes include Hebrew fonts. Until someone finds a way to install custom ROMs I think you will be out of luck.
The Desire has now been rooted and you can apply Hebrew and Arabic fonts using the files on the following site:
tinyurl . com / desireroot
Personally, I've rooted my phone but haven't tried the fonts.

The hebrew fonts were tested and found to be ok, except the gmail.
The exchange, sms, websites are working properly.
I'm hunting for full Arabic support (fonts, and keyboard). I know I'll need to root the EVO, but honestly I don't know where I should look next. Should I look for a ROM with full arabic support built in (if so could you please recommend one to me?)? Or should I try and find external language packs and load them onto the phone? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
There are a couple of arabic keyboards in the market. You don't need root for that.
to have full support u have to root and install keyboard and language pack
I think what he is talking about is getting the fonts installed so not only can you view Arabic text messages, but you can browse the web, view emails, and any other method where there might be Arabic. Currently the keyboards on the market still require you do have an Arabic font installed.
I need the Arabic font as well!

Is there a cab or program that I can use to change the keyboard installation?
Similar to the PC, we can go into Control Panel, Region and Language, Keyboards and Languages, Change keyboard... And from there we can install or change the keyboard language ...
I need a solution or help in using the keyboard Norwegian with English custom Rom...
I'm tired of using the Orignal and slow Rom's from HTC ...
I want to install wm6.5.3 or slightly better version of any custom Rom on my TP2...

You might PM the original poster of this discontinued ROM, he stated there was a cab for the keyboard, there was not a link in the forum.

From English back to Norwegian
I gave my TP2 to a friend of mine. originally a Norwegian TP2, which I tweaked into Deep Shining ROM some time ago.

Hi guys, I have a question. I have bought a new HTC Desire HD, but it is only in English and German. How can I set Dutch language on the phone? Does somebody have the right Dutch firmware, the right flashing tool and the right flashguide for me so I can flash it? Or does somebody know an other way to set original Dutch language?
Regards,
Tuny
Try a custom ROM with language support or install app "more locale 2", not sure about Dutch support though. Also may need root & give su permissions (can't quite remember)
Sent from my SGS2 or HTC DHD
I tried more locale 2. It does have Dutch support. But the problem is it only converts the English app names to Dutch, and it doesn't convert the menu's (settings, folders) itself. I have searched for custom roms but couldnt find anything. I only have found a program called: RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.32.405.6_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155891_signed.exe
Does this work? If it doesn't work, where can I find any custom roms or any root files for flashing to DutcH? please somebody help

Hello my fellow Dutchman. First, let me ask you some questions:
- Is your DHD perm rooted or not? And do you have it S-OFF?
- Do you have a Dutch DHD or did you buy it abroad?
