Hello guys I am new one here!
I 've upgraded my HTC DHD from froyo to 2.36.405.8 gingerbread official edition
after a message that I received yesterday after checking the update status for the firmware.
The problem is that after installing the update, all sounds seem to be distorted (squeking sound even at low level). The problem occurs both on the main speaker and the loudspeaker.
Needless to say that before the upgrade the quality of the sound of my DHD was OK( so I have to guess that is a problem related with the upgrade).
Does anybody have a simillar issue after updating to 2.3 gingerbread?
Is there anyway to go back to the stock 2.2 froyo edition?
(Btw my phone is unbranded)

Yep, Search "downgrade" and click second result
Hm, maybe you could go back to Froyo if you downgrade FW?
There are tutorials here on XDA
Thanks I will look on the guides on how to downgrade
(I thought that the guides were only about downgrading to a point that you could root your phone...)
Still I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same problem..

Hi,
I'm admitting a certain amount of Noobness here, but can anyone give me clear, comprehensive instructions on putting my HTC Desire back to a Stock ROM so I can install the official Vodafone Android 2.2 update when it comes out?
I rooted to Neophyte 1.6 which is great, but I want to know how to return to an offical Vodafone ROM to bypass any future warranty issues.
I am struggling to find a download link to the Vodafone UK stock ROM and instructions to unroot. Any links/info out there?
I think this might help a few people out...
Cheers in advance
Ok I found what I was looking for about 5 seconds after I clicked send!

Anyone know how to do this with Vodafone Spain? I cannot see the valid shipped rom.
Hello everyone!
I've been for hours and hours searching this forum for a solution to my problem and i've found lot's of information but now I don't really know what's the best way to do it. I'm very newbie on this. Here is my situation:
I have just bough and A8181 HTC Desire Asian Version with this Specs:
-In the box it doesn't say AMOLED, so I think my desire has a SLCD screen
-The HBOOT version is 0.83
-Android 2.1 update1
-My Software number is 1.19.707.7
-My keyboard always have an annoying buttom to insert asian letters (Obviously that's because the Desire is an Asian Version)
What I want to know is just the best (and easiest) way to have an Official European FroYo 2.2 ROM instead of this asian 2.1.
So, how do I do this? UnrEVOked? Goldcard? What's the best ROM for my case?
Thank you all very much!
I just checked system update in my Desire Asian version, update to froyo is available now. I'm still downloading. Maybe it's Official Asian Froyo 2.2 ROM
Nice Information.
Jangunawan,
My Desire haven't received the update yet.
Have anyone with stock Asian Desire and software 1.19.707.7 received it?
Even with the update I still want very much to know how to flash my desire with an Eurpean ROM. So, do someone know the answer to my first post?
Thank you all
Could someone please clarify what is the latest HTC Desire HD software version for the UK please?
I have recently bought a HTC Desire HD a few days ago and the version on my brand new sim free DHD is 1.32.405.6 with no updates showing when attempting to search for an update via OTA.
Thing is I notice talk of a 1.72 build on this forum and was wondering have other DHD owners in the UK had this update yet or what exactly is the situation with newer software in the UK?
Also theres some other talk of this newer version being pulled? Just really trying to clarify what exactly is happening as I have read in the newer build battery life on the DHD has improved and this would be very welcome as with any other enhancements.

1.72 was removed by HTC as it seemed to be having some issues, especially with SD cards, the battery life improvements are down to the newer radio which can be found here, a quick caution newer OTA upgrades patch the exploit that is used to gain root so if you anticipate wanting to root your DHD and flash customs roms best to avoid them.

Thanks very much for clarifying, I was wondering why there was no update showing as people on here were talking about 1.72 and I have 1.32 with no updates showing.
I have rooted my DHD with visionary only to get Screen shot working and have done S-OFF only to get Adfree working.
I have got Rom Manager installed with Clockworkmod but haven't installed any custom roms as this is a brand new phone for me and to be honest I'm happy with the stock look of the phone. I only rooted and got S-OFF to get the two above things working. So basically when this 1.72 does come the root will be taken away I see.
hey guys, just wondering if the problem i was getting along with others was the problem how we upgraded to the OTA ( mine is the telstra 2.2.1 update) and that might cause the program to not work, just wondering if that is the probem.
thanks
Hello all,
I've absolutely loved my Desire HD running Android Revolution but I've just been offered a free upgrade to a better handset. And I need to get it back to stock as soon as possible for warranty purposes. However I neither backed up the ROM nor took down any particulars. So any help you might have concerning the required settings, ROM and radio would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!
PV.
What you need to do is find the Three RUU for your handset, this is probably the quickest and easiest way to return the phone to stock. If you get the Super S-off tool then you will be able to go back to s-on. (unless this was done by the RUU)
The other thing to bear ni mind is that if your RUU installer says that the upgrade is not for your phone then you may need to change the CID from the super CID to Three AU CID.
Good luke
Thanks! Does anyone here have a link to the stock ROM? I'm looking at this one right now but it seems older:
