[Q] Tilt 2 Incoming call, tone volume fading - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Guys,
Firstly thankyou all for your help, tips and suggestions to maximise the performance of this great handset.
I have done the upgrade and included battery increment and top display change and am extremely happy!
I just have this issue now that with the phone set for incoming calls on constant ring and vibrate, it begins ringing and vibrating at the required volume/level for one or two rings and then fades away dramatically to being only just loud enough to be heard. Is there anyone who can help with a program install fix etc?
Thanks in advance.
Daniel

Look in, "settings, sounds & display." There is a setting that reduces the volume of your ring when you pick up/move your phone. Its called, "quiet ring on pick up."
Hope this helps,
Nylo

I believe there is also a setting for increasing ring or decreasing ring so make sure you check that out as well. I might be mistaken as I have stopped using my TP2 but I believe there is.

Thanks heaps, both suggestions are absolutely right and I had missed the 'quiet to touch' in the advanced settings after the firmware upgrade.
Sorry for what would now appear to be a silly question but I was starting to think I had done something seriously wrong.
Once again, thanks for all the great tips and advice.
Best Regards,
Daniel

HTC Tilt2 Ringer Volume Fades *HELP*

Hey everyone, first of all, I wanna say a big THANK YOU to all the chefs on here and all the other xda members. You guys save me from dealing with the suckish ways that all the phones I buy are set up (which apparently these companies think are good... hahaha, yeah...). Well anyway, got a bit of an issue that I need some help with. As I am sure alot of you know already, the ringer volume on the Tilt2 is just AWFUL. I found a couple solutions to somewhat remedy this and give a big boost to the volume, however, I have hit a few obsticles with each. The first was adding the AudioPara4 file to my Windows folder. This fixed the ringer volume problem PERFECTLY, however, it completely kills the mic. Others cannot hear me at all when on calls. The other I tried was a few regestry tweaks. This also fixed my ringer volume (not as good as the first solution did, but my mic still worked so it is tolerable). The issue is not, when my phone first rings, the volume is rather loud and crisp. However, after about 5 seconds, the volume fades down to about half of what it starts at. It doesn't drop out, it is like a 1 second fade effect which would cause me to consider the possibility that this may be a setting (which was a stupid idea on HTCs part if it is, I mean, who wants a fading ringer). I understand the "Increasing Ring" concept (which is the exact opposite of what I have encountered) and am certain that this setting is not enabled on my device. If anyone has any ideas for solutions regarding this "fading" issue, or the AudioPara4 "mic killing" situation, please help. Your feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. YOU GUYS ROCK!
Hope this helps

sorry, your english isn't great but what i think i see is:
you want the volume louder when you are actually talking to someone on the phone
you want the phone to vibrate when the call is done? (not so sure on what exactly this one was supposed to mean.
the first one i don't have much of an answer for other than you may not be holding the phone properly, this phone took me a few days to figure out how to hold it and hear the person on the phone. try moving the phone a bit when you are on it and see if that helps at all.
and the second question might be solved by root and flashing CM6.1, there is an option in the settings to make the phone vibrate when the call is connected, hung up, at the 45 second mark of each minute, and loads of other options.
Yes,my English is very poor! I'm sorry for that!
Thank you for your reply, especially the 2nd answer!
But my first question means when the device has a incoming calls, its ringtones are so low that I always miss calls. So, how can I do?
Thank U again!
CM6.1 also has an app called DSP manager that you can use to adjust the equalizer settings, bu i don't really think that will increase the overall volume of the phone. you can try it out but i honestly don't think there is a fix for low volume at this point

Incall volume is always getting low by itself ???

Hey friends,
Hi from Istanbul to everyone. I have a rediculus issue with my HTC Desire GSM.
Incall volume is too low. I mean, I'm adjusting to high level and close the settings. Then I'm making a test call. It's again low. Then I'm opening the settings and again seeing that it got low level by itself.
Why it's always getting to low level by itself. I can't hear my calls.
pLS HELP ME
I believe some ROMs (maybe all, not sure) automatically lower the volume of the ringtone when the phone detects that it was moved.
Maybe the accelerometers get triggered to soon on your phone? Try calling your phone, but make sure it's laying still on the table or something...
Grtz
Thank you very much friend... but I am still having this issue
I am having this issue with the custom ROM 'InsertCoin CM7'.
I can barely hear anyone I speak to on the phone and this was not an issue with the stock ROM I had before.
If there was a way to set the in-call volume, that would be incredibly helpful.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus and it's vibrator

Hey guys!
I've been wondering a bit, after getting my Galaxy Nexus. I mostly have my phones on silent, just have it to vibrate, when ever I receive a call, sms, e-mail or what ever.
But with the Galaxy Nexus, I seem to can't feel the vibrator (no naughty thoughts!), and therefore I can't have my phone on silent.
Anyone know if i can change it with an app or anything else? Really hate that my phone needs to sound like a an robot when ever i get a notification.
Cheers,
Alexander W.

Are you talking about a software problem or a physical problem?
As in have you tried going into like gmail settings and turning on vibrate when receiving emails and stuff like that?
I had this exact same problem. I never have my phones make noise (other than the sound of it vibrating) as I don't want to accidentally leave it on loud when it should be on silent. Just easier that way. Plus you can hear your phone vibrating on a table or other hard surface from other rooms, so no need for sound.
It took me a bit to figure out what was going on, but what the issue was for me was I had the ringer volume down too low. With your phone unlocked, press the volume up rocker once. You will see that it changes from a speaker with a line through it to a phone that appears to be vibrating. This will put it in silent but vibrate mode.
Also make sure in the sound settings that you have the vibrate mode set properly. I have mine set to always vibrate.
Hope that helps!

Try the application Light Flow. I had the same problem, couldn't feel the short vibration and missed my emails and such. With light flow you can set up custom vibrations for different applications. I have two exchange accounts and have set up different vibration lengths and led colors for each (the one vibrates for around 4 seconds). You can also set up another set of vibrations if you miss the first one that will repeat for a duration of time that you can also set.
For phone calls only, try vibration manager, it will allow custom vibrations for incoming calls.

Yes, there is silent, vibrate and tones
hiohokaybye - It's exactly like the others says. It proberbly isen't a problem with the phone, it just doesn't vibrate "hard" enought for me to feel it or hear it.
But thanks for the help, jaeisber, archerks & white lie! - Got it working "right" now.
Cheers, y'all, and Merry Christmas!
I giggled when I read the title of the thread.
I too have experienced missing calls and messages do to the fact that the phone vibrates at a much higher frequency than other phones I have had. It feels great when you hold it, but I don't notice it as much as other phones when I have it in my pocket.
Same here, I can't feel the vibration strong enough when it is in my pocket and miss calls. I'll have to try the light app.

[Q] End Call Beep

Does anyone know how to get rid of the End Call Beep on the HTC One M8? This loud beep is very annoying.
Thanks!!
Anybody have a clue? This is really annoying to me and I am sure it is to a few others.
Thanks for all help in advance!!!!
It's a carrier thing, you can't remove it.
It is not a carrier issue ... I will try this:

I also had this problem and was only a problem with blue tooth connections. It turned out that I could turn down the volume of bluetooth notifications and alerts so that the beep was quite tolerable. While in a call, push the volume button down or up and a menu pops up, click on the gear or star icon on the right of the pop up menu and it will take you to another menu that you can slide the volumes of notifications and alerts from high your current high level to a lower level.
I was on with HTC today and they wanted me to send them the phone for repair! Fortunately I found this setting that relates only to the bluetooth volumes.
Hope this helps you!

I am sorry to resurrect this dead thread, but I'm having this same problem and I don't use bluetooth headsets... the call status tone for connections is killing me...
I have rooted my phone now and it's not a carrier issue (all HTC one M8 software installs seem to have removed the "Call alerts" branch from Settings>Applications>Phone>Call Alerts>Call Status Tones) so I'm trying to find the xml responsible for these settings so I can disable them there. I wish I had an app that could search xml files for text from root so this would be easier like aGREP only that can search root and xml...
I would leave this thread dead except for the fact that I'm still facing this problem and recently had an ear issue that has made this beep so much more painful... and holding the phone away from my ear while waiting for the beep to pass has caused people to hang up on me
