Does anyone know how to pull a PRL off a DInc to upload it?
I don't remember the exact procedure, but I remember QPST is the tool I used to do it.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
This? http://www.x-drivers.com/catalog/flash/mobile_phones/companies/qualcomm/models/qpst/12051.html
Yep, that's it. I thought maybe the procedure had something to do with saving the EEPROM contents, then using the RL Editor to extract the PRL, but I'm not positive on that.
Well this is a start anyways, thanks!

Did you find a way to get the prl? I need one as well and I've been searching for the file itself and can't find it. I came across your post so maybe the next best thing is get the prl from 1 of my Inc's so i can install it on my other one.
Load QPST, under Start Clients menu, select Service Programming.
Click Read from Phone and enter MSL (000000).
Then Save to file. This will save a .qcn and .rl0 file.
In QPST, under Start Clients menu, select RL Editor.
In RL Editor, load your .rl0 file. Go to File, Save As..., make sure type is *.prl and enter a file name.
Copy the .prl file you saved to your phone and you can load from the EPST menu (##778#) on your phone.

Just rename the rl0 file to prl. Much easier.

I just updated my Tmobile dash to the RUU_Excalibur_HTC_WWE_Brightpoint_US_1.33.422.1_4.1.13.51_03.07.90_Ship ROM and now the voice commands seems to have disapeared.
In the old TMOBILE phone, I was able to see the app and also click on my headset to activate. Now that setting seems to have disappeared and I get the message "no voice tag setup" (or something like that).
Can anyone help me get this working again? It was a great feature which allowed me to call on the fly using only my headset while leaving my phone in my bag.
Forgive me if I am posting anything in the wrong place or re-posting. I am a newbie to this and forum.
Thanks

When you install the voice command app to the new wm6 HTC ROM, the way its described in this link, it works like a charm, the same way it does on the T-Mobile wm6 ROM. Just follow the instructions to a "T"....................!
THANKS!!! Worked perfectly..
FYI - you have to remove the shortcut from start folder otherwise you will get an error when trying to copy files into the prog folder.
Then paste the shortcut back in.

Yes, that is essentially step 2 in the instructions:
remove the lnk from the Voice Command item in the startup folder
what is described is changing the extension of the shortcut by removing lnk

yea its weird.........
i restart computer and everything. still can't get the files in there.....
any way u can make me a new rar.......
I can't extract either, I'm using Universal Extractor. Whenever I extract, all I get is a readme type file.
I extracted the folder from the second link. When I opened that folder, there is another folder called Voice Command DASH. I opened that folder, and then copied all 34 files to the \Program Files\Voice Command folder. When i try to copy the files from the second link to the program files\Voice Command folder, I get the following message:
cannot copy enu_g2p: There has been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use.
Any ideas?

i had to open it in winrar and repair and remake it.
and then it would extract again.

Funny thing is that in the \Windows\Startup folder, I don't see the .lnk. I have unchecked the box to hide extensions for known file type. Also, I just try and copy the shortcut from the Startup folder to my computer desktop and then soft-reset the phone. Everytime I soft reset the phone, it still places the shortcut in the \Windows\Startup folder.
I finally got it to work!!!
Instead of renaming the shortcut from the \Windows\Startup, I went and just copied it to desktop. However, after a few times, I followed the instructions and instead of renaming the shortcut again and adding .lnk to the end, I just dragged and dropped from my desktop to the \Windows\Startup folder.

are you by any chance extracting the file when you get it? if so, dont...the setup file you are talking about is an xml file...just leave everything in the cab file
take this file as it is (do not extract/unrar), and transfer the whole thing over to the phone and then run it.
still
I put it in as the rar/zipped file and clicked then it opened it and had a file that said start menu and windows I clicked on start menu and it said my tools clicked again and it said extras and then it had another one of those files with random words. So I went back to the windows file and it had the files etp excalibur 1-6 and then a file that said changer.I clicked on changer and it asked what language. After that it said for everything to take effect I need to reboot so I did that and nothing happend. Is there any way to but back on mobile 6.0 its already been like 5 hours of not being able to use the keyboard??

if you cant install a cab file then maybe you should switch back. its really this simple. copy the file (unmolested) to the phones \windows directory via activesync. then using resco explorer, browse to \windows on your phone and just click on the file..dont open, dont extract, dont pass go and dont collect 200$. it will install. then reboot and THATS IT. we have all done this 100000 times here so im not buying the fact that you are the one off case where it doesnt work.
look in the sticky's at the top of this forum for the wm6 rom

I looked in the thread about flashing the newest radio. I followed the instructions but i just cant figure it out for the life of me. can anybody help me out?
download the radio of choice. Put it on the root of your sd card. Make sure it is named exactly right it must be named PG32IMG.zip it is case sensitive. Power off your device. Hold volume down and power to get into hboot give it a few seconds to automatically find the image. It will ask if you want to update hit volume up for yes and let it do its thing. When its done hit power to reboot. Before you do this make sure you disable fastboot under menu/settings/power or you may have a hard time getting into hboot. When your done remember to delete the radio from your sd incase you have to use hboot to boot into recovery for some reason if you don't it will load that image every time
+1 many thanks i just got it up and running
Be sure you don't name it .zip.zip too.
Hidden file extensions is a setting within Windows.
Edit, good to hear.

yes the .zip.zip is the most common error glad you got it working
I'm running windows 7. Does windows 7 hide the .zip does anyone know? I don't want to run into the .zip.zip problem.

on win7:
-go to folder options in control panel
-go to view tab
-uncheck 'hide known file extensions'
this will let you see the full path and avoid .zip.zip issues.
You should check the md5sum when flashing a new radio..
you can use the AFV app on your phone or use winMd5SumPortable on Win7

Download Correct Radio for your phone.
Check md5 to ensure it matches.
Put file on root portion of your sdcard.
Make sure it is named correctly. What OS do you have? A lot of errors come from naming the file incorrectly by naming it PB32IMG.zip.zip
Tell us what error you are getting.
Be careful before proceeding...wouldnt want a bricked phone.

I check the file name when i check the md5sum. usually using afv.
What error message are you getting.
this guide is just to get the ha and aaa keys!!!
ok first you have to root the samsung prevail...i believe this will also work for the replenish(search for root methods)
once rooted you will need to go to the app market on the phone and download android terminal emulator.... open the emulator app and run this command:
su
# dd if=/dev/stl5 of=/sdcard/cdma.rfs
then plug your phone to computer with usb, turn storage space and copy the cdma.rds file off sd to desktop and use the magic iso
to extract to desktop(http://www.magiciso.com/)
open magiciso:
select file..open ..change file types to AllFiles(*.*) and open the cdma.rf file you extracted and go to NVM folder then open the NUM folder and copy the 465, 465_1, 466, 466_1, 1192, 1194 files onto desktop or a folder ...these are the files needed.
now download winhex (http://download.cnet.com/WinHex/3000-2352_4-10057691.html)
open winhex and drag and drop each of the files into winhex(it will open them all in one window)
EDIT: you only need 466_1 and 1192 to get the AAA keys the pics i have attached show you the aaa key highlighted...1192 is for profile 0..... and 466_1 is for profile 1
the HA keys are the same for both (736563726574 )
i will update the rest tonight... (how to get the ha and aaa keys)
if this has been covered on xda let me know or just remove..thanks
Excelent, thats what i needed to know, ONLY 1192 and 466_1 are needed. Pictures are perfectly clear, the rest can be read with CDMA Workshop (paid version)
Cannot open files with winhex
I know this is an old thread but it is the only one I found that is close to my issue.
I followed these instructions to the letter but i get an error with winhex that says " Please check the path and your access rights" " The System cannot find the file specified".
Even tried as administrator.
I have been at this for days with no luck..
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the info BUT aren't we suppose to get the NV item 466_1 over to the phone somehow? Every time I try to enter NV 466_1 it will not let me. Any help would be great, please PM or reply! THANKS!
For everyone else who can't get winhex to work, just download another tool like HxD.
I can't seem to find one anywhere. All the links I am encountering are dead. Does anyone have this file laying around or know where I can get it? My evo is dead right now and from everything I've read this is what I need to get it up and running again. Thanks in advance.
Sorry but, RUU zip? Lol thats like saying you need a JPG word doc.
Anyway, I don't think you searched hard enough, look up "supersonic RUU's" on google, first hit. Download from there, they're hosted on team nocturnals website.
Lol right, been seeing a lot of these lately. And it seems only people who put in the op that they are "noobs" are the only ones who can't find this stuff. But, Phandroid is way worse about this. Which is funny because the sticky at the top of the forum has all the links and instructions to root and unroot every h-boot and hardware version. So what I'm saying is please people just LOOK, it's all you have to do, please.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
you may find the ruu your looking for here.... http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Supersonic
but the ruu will be a zip
if you want the zip, IE - PC36IMG.zip you will have to extract it.
i just did this exact thing today. i needed the shipped and pre-release ruu for some goodies contained within. followed this guide...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26541170&postcount=1
just rename ROM.zip to PC36IMG.zip instead of PG58IMG.zip
here's the gist of that thread you need to perform.
4.1 Getting PG58IMG.zip from RUU
Run the RUU executable as you normally would, but don't proceed to the second step i.e. when a second window appears, do nothing. Do not proceed, just ignore it for now, but don't close the window.
Right-click the Windows Start button and select "Open Window Explorer" option.
If you use Windows XP
Copy-paste this in the navigation bar:
Code:
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Temp\
If you use Windows Vista/7
Press & hold Windows key on the keyboard and then press R (Win key + R). Once the box pops up, copy paste this:
Code:
%temp%
Right click anywhere inside explorer window (not on any folder) and select Sort by then select Date.
Locate the latest one created (first in the list & it will most likely have random numbers in the name) & open it.
You will find a second folder with a set of random numbers. Open it, inside you will find a number of files and the rom.zip
Copy the rom.zip file to another location.
Now, close the RUU executable folder & rename the rom.zip file as PG58IMG.zip
