[Q] Replaced components still hanging around - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've replaced my launcher and my dialer, but both of the ones I replaced are still showing up as applications running. I've replaced ADW with Zeam on CM7. Is there a way for me to get it off my device?

Uninstall ADW with Titanium Backup.

Restore the basic Android Launcher

Whenever I select the phone feature in the dock (on the home screen) it states "Application not Installed." There is no settings for Android Launcher or dragging over the app to replace the existing one doesnt work either. I'm assuming i'll have to uninstall with titanium and restore it but i dont have the basic launcher. Can someone tell how to place that icon on the home page or just reflash/reinstall android launcher?
thanks
the stock launcher is not customizable. You have to either have the AOSP dialer installed, or that button will not work.
I'm sure someone could modify the stock launcher to work with the sense dialer (it is open source after all) but I haven't ever seen it done.
Launcher Pro and ADW are both built off the stock launcher, so there isn't much of a downside to using one of them.

[Q] Lost launcher access/shortcut in CM

Nevermind, i just re-installed ADW. I'm still an idiot.
****************************
I now have CM 6.1 RC 4 installed and love it so far. Being the idiot and noob that I am, in thinking I was dragging a shortcut to the trash, I really wrote-over the shortcut to the launcher in the dockbar. I thought of creating a shortcut to the Launcher and replacing what's there now with it, but I can't seem to create a shortcut to Launcher. Is there anyway to restore what was initially in the dockbar?
I just cleared data under ADW Launcher, but I'd be cool if there was another way.

[Q] launcher, sensui, and memory

I tried the new adw launcher ex and I like what I am able to do with it so I decided to use it as my default launcher. Before setting it as the default, should I remove the widgets from the senseui screens that I have configured on sense before doing this? I guess what I am asking is will it still load those widgets from the sense desktop into memory when I boot the phone?

Icons not appearing in App drawer

I have a stock Play, only major things I've done to it are root it, and use GoLauncher.
Some icons for programs aren't appearing in the app drawer, or others will be there at first, but then disappear.
Such as titanium backup. I tried reinstalling it but that didn't do anything.
Nevermind. I switched to ADW launcher and it works. Guess GoLauncher sucks.
Perhaps you hid all apps?

HOX launcher lag(not Sense)?

Hello, I was planning on changing the launcher on my HOX but all the launchers I've tried seem to be lagging when switching panels on the home screen(jittery animation when switching panels). The launchers I've tried were:
Nova Launcher
Apex Launcher
Go Launcher EX
Holo Launcher
Zeam Launcher
The only launcher that runs smoothly is the stock Sense one but I want a launcher with a scrollable dock! I've googled this and all the results were about lag on the Sense launcher, which I have no problems with. I doubt that my phone's hardware can't handle a launcher. Any ideas as to what causes this problem or a fix?

The HOX has some incredible hardware. So its surely not the hardware.I myself used the pro version of apex launcher for some time and it works smooth. I think you have a lot of background apps running. Disable some background apps.. that will free some memory.

How much RAM do I have to have free for it to run smoothly? I Currently have 300 megabyte free worth of ram and it's still lagging! The only running apps (according to the task manager) are:
Android core apps
Apex launcher
BetterBatteryStats
Battery Widget
Package Access Helper
FlexNet
SmartcardService.
Also, whenever I end the processes of some apps (like settings, dropbox, calendar and some others), they re-open themselves a few minutes later, what's up with that?
Update:
Oh, I doubt that it's memory related, the menu screen switching is super smooth, if it was RAM related it would be affected too
Anyone?
If menu screen is working smoothly then it's an app problem. Try reducing the number of widgets you have kept on each screen and see if that helps.

Funny thing is, there are no widgets on any of the panels, is there by any chance that I have a faulty hardware? (which still sounds kind of impossible since the Sense launcher runs smoothly)
Same here with my HOX+. Sense runs smooth, but there are too many limitations, so I run Apex.
I've only one widget on the screen. I think, it's a Apex problem.
