June 25 update:
The latest WiFi Calling packages which support both MAGLDR and cLK with working mobile data.
WiFi-Calling-htcleo-GB_for_NAND_v3.1.zip
WiFi-Calling-htcleo-ICS_for_NAND_v3.1.zip
June 18 update:
The universal update file for both MAGLDR and cLK is finished.
Mobile data issue is fixed. It works well on MAGLDR. Please test with cLK.
Please flash WiFi-Calling-htcleo-ICS_for_NAND_v2.zip and report your result.
May 20 update:
Included the latest ICS libs and app from the HTC Sensation ROM.
Since I am not a T-Mobile customer, I cannot test it.
But I think it may work for you.
Please flash WiFi-Calling-htcleo-ICS_for_NAND_testing-0520.zip and report your result.
Sep. 13 update:
Included the latest lib and updated settings of default.prop from HTC Glacier ROM.
WiFi-Calling-htcleo-GB_for_NAND_v2.zip (for MAGLDR) after flashing any Gingerbread NAND ROMs.
WiFi-Calling-htcleo-GB_for_SD_v2.zip (for WM6.5) when running any Gingerbread SD builds.
Aug. 23 update:
The universal update file for NAND is finished.
I found that /system/default.prop has higher priority than /system/build.prop, so I moved WiFi Calling setup info from build.prop to default.prop.
It's just a re-package for all Gingerbread ROMs. No new features.
Please flash WiFi-Calling-htcleo-GB_for_NAND.zip (for MAGLDR) after flashing any Gingerbread ROMs, e.g. NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.9_NAND_(Android-2.3.5).zip (or any new versions).
To ensure the remaining system space is enough before flashing WiFi Calling update.
Please replace WiFi-Calling-htcleo-GB_for_SD.zip (for WM6.5) after using NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.9_SD_(Android-2.3.5).7z (or any new versions) on WM6.5.
Copy Android folder to your SD card to replace rootfs.img and other necessary files for WiFi Calling.
With this rootfs.img, PPP data connection on SD build no longer works but WiFi Calling works. (They are mutual exclusive features.)
Known issues:
If WiFi Calling makes yours phone freeze for whatever reasons, you should try the following steps.
Get a new type of SIM card. (It's very very important.) (New SIM card vs. Old SIM card)
Uninstall Volume+

May 8 update: T-Mobile WiFi Calling on NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.7T
In order to enable WiFi Calling, we need to remove libhtc_ril_wrapper.so in init.rc and load libganril.so from build.prop instead.
Thus, you must have MAGLDR 1.13 bootloader on device if you want to use WiFi Calling and 3G/HSDPA mobile network (RMNET).
CWM: backup and restore => Backup you current ROM first. (Required)
CWM: wipe data/factory reset to have a clean installation.
Installation Guide for NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.7:
Flash MAGLDR
Download MAGLDR 1.13 (606 KB)
Enter SPL by holding VOL DOWN key while booting the phone. (Make sure you have HSPL.)
Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe to flash MAGLDR 1.13 (magldr.nbh).
Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
Download MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.0.2.5_for_NexusHD2_135M.zip (5.1 MB)
Enter MAGLDR 1.13 by holding power key while booting the phone, and then select "USB Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown". Confirm key is green "Call" button.
Edit flash.cfg and change "system ya 135M" to "system ya 145M". (Or use another method to enlarge your system space in order to provide enough space for WiFi Calling libs and apps.)
Run DAF.exe to flash ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.2.5 (MAGLDR_recovery_3.0.2.5.img).
Flash Android ROM
Enter ClockworkMod Recovery when you're on MAGLDR 1.13 (hold "Power" button during boot) and select "AD Recovery" or "Boot AD SD" (if ever copied CWM's initrd.gz and zImage to SD).
Flash NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.7_NAND_(Android-2.3.4)_update.zip (84.51 MB)

Apr. 18 update:
I have added Kineto Gan stuff in my r9 kernel to support WiFi Calling for T-Mobile USA users.
Current WiFi Calling app works on Froyo and Gingerbread.
I'm not a T-Mobile user, so I get Invalid SIM error and cannot do more testings when running WiFi Calling app.
If you are a T-Mobile customer and want to test my modified NexusHD2-Gingerbread ROM, please follow the steps below.
According to T-Mobile Wifi Calling thread in Nexus S forum, we need a compatible RIL (libhtc_ril.so) (maybe need a compatible radio too) that supports WiFi Calling.
Installations:
You should have either MAGLDR 1.13 or cLK 1.4 bootloader on device.
CWM (ClockworkMod) Recovery Version via SD card (Flash update.zip)
Installing CWM_Recovery_for_NexusHD2 (135MB system and 2MB cache) (Required)
For Android installation you need to enter CWM Recovery.
CWM: backup and restore => Backup you current ROM first. (Required)
CWM: wipe data/factory reset to have a clean installation. (Required)
CWM: install zip from sdcard: locate NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.6T_WiFi-Calling_update_20110418.zip to finish the Android installation.(Required)
Installation Guide for MAGLDR 1.13:

NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.6T_WiFi-Calling_update_20110418.zip uses PPP by default and is compatible with cLK and MAGLDR.
You can delete /system/ppp file to switch to RMNET mode in MAGLDR. (cLK doesn't support RMNET.)
Apr 25: After installing new tytung_r9_wificalling_update.zip, your phone will be changed to RMNET mode.
Are you effin kidding me? Is this a work in progress or a test of something real?

A test of something real, but I cannot guarantee it will work.
Some devs said that WiFi Calling is dependent on the radio firmware.
Since our radio is designed for Windows Mobile 6.5, and it should not support WiFi Calling on WM.
However, the test is still worth it.
Right now im installing the rom as soon I test it i'll post any bug or crash...
I'm a tmousa user and the wifi calling app keep in the enabling state after 10 minutes connected over wifi the rom its very fast but the program didn't work for me and I have radio 2.15.50.14

According to T-Mobile Wifi Calling thread in Nexus S forum, we need a compatible RIL (libhtc_ril.so) and radio that supports WiFi Calling.
If you're using this ROM, please provide the logs of logcat and dmesg.
Code:
adb shell
logcat
logcat | grep Kineto
logcat | grep RIL
Then replace with a different libhtc_ril.so and reboot to try again.
Code:
adb push libhtc_ril.so /system/lib
adb reboot

After reading all posts in Nexus S thread, it seems we only need to replace with a compatible RIL (libhtc-ril.so).
From http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11744801&postcount=118
So, at least it's defined in our RIL and not something radio specific.

P.S. From my reading, your data plan should also include UMA service to support WiFi Calling.

I need logcat | grep RIL too.
I provide the wrong command above, not dmesg | grep RIL.
I have fixed "UnsatifiedLinkError to the AudioRecord" issue to let WiFi Calling app can run on Gingerbread.
I will upload a Gingerbread ROM soon.

cool as soon I wake up I'll reinstall the rom and begin to test again and send the log cat of both process because I remove the rom and replace it with your 2.6 nexushd2
Tytung could you make an update package to try to test with other roms? I'm not home and downloading that entire rom would take hours.
Maybe an update package with just the necessary files? (Running cm7 on clk)

Hi everyone,
First, read the readme.txt in the zip file.
You flash it at your own risk. Backup everything. Learn how to use Heimdall. If it eats your dog it's not my problem . Many things are broken - post about it in the thread if nobody posted before. If you have any idea how to fix things, post too or PM me.
Requirements: GSM (Euro, US ATT/TMO tabs), with JQ1 (Gingerbread) unprotected bootloaders that can run Euro JQ1 ROM and gt-p1000_mr.pit partitioning.
Modem versions:
ATT: use I9000UGJK3 modem (this is what I am using)
TMO: try JK5
Euro: reports say that JK5, JPZ modems work
HK: user reports JK5 modem works.
CDMA: This ROM does not support CDMA Tabs.
LTN: experimental kernel included.
The archive with the build with Heimdall is here http://gtab7.nexus-lab.com/cm7sgt/tcm7beta-2012-08-05.zip
Please use heimdall to install. This zip file is not for flashing with CWM. Unzip and read the readme.txt in the zip file. Flash using the Heimdall command line (below).
The update zip for CWM is here http://gtab7.nexus-lab.com/cm7sgt/cm-7-20120805-UNOFFICIAL-galaxytab.zip, (GSM only, no LTN), please be sure to flash it from recovery that supports EXT4 or flash it once so it updates kernel/recovery, reboot to new recovery and flash it again. If you encounter any problems, use the Heimdall version.
P1000L/N
There is experimental P1000L kernel and bootloaders included in LTN directory in Heimdall package. It should work on P1000L and maybe P1000N.
Big thanks to Humberos for patches and testing. Adventureous souls with Latin Tabs please try it and report how it worked for you. You should have Gingerbread bootloaders and partitioning done first, so it should be easy if you are already running Gingerbread on your P1000L/N.
Installation using Heimdall
normal update from previous CM7 version, or a flash from another Gingerbread ROM:
Code:
heimdall flash --kernel zImage --factoryfs factoryfs.ext4
full flash and repartition:
Code:
heimdall flash --repartition --pit gt-p1000_mr.pit --primary-boot boot.bin --secondary-boot sbl.bin --kernel zImage --factoryfs factoryfs.ext4 --cache cache.ext4 --dbdata dbdata.ext4
Please be careful and double check your Heimdall command line when you flash bootladers, you may brick your Tab pretty bad.
If you get stuck on first reboot after install, or your settings aren't saved it means your data partitions need to be reformatted to ext4. This should be handled by setup_fs in init.rc.
If it didn't happen, start adb and run
make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
make_ext4fs /dev/block/stl10
make_ext4fs /dev/block/stl11
Or try full wipe in recovery.
make_ext4fs is slightly wonky so you could use "/system/bin/mke2fs -t ext4 -m 0" instead (recovery is also using make_ext4fs internally to wipe partitions)
Samsung apps, Swype, Gapps etc
This is an unofficial port of CyanogenMod. I am striving to give us the pure CyanogenMod experience on Galaxy Tab.
So, there are no Samsung apps and don't ask for them.
There is no TouchWiz and don't ask for it.
It comes with ADW Launcher and if you want anything else, there is plenty of launchers in the Market.
If you want Google Apps, get it from the usual place http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ and install from recvery after flashing update.zip. The Heimdall version has Gapps integrated right now.
There is one stupid annoyance on Google sign-in welcome screen. It asks to slide open the keyboard (which we don't have and for now I can't find this setting). So skip the whole set up and sign in to Google account from Settings->Accounts&Sync.
Swype: there is no Swype. Since Swype has a policy of allowing Swype on modded ROMs as long as the original ROM had Swype integrated, if somebody cares to make flashable zip with Swype I can link it from OP.
Market issues.
Market 3.x has much stricter rules about DPI and device checks. So very often it shows apps as not compatible with CM7 on GalaxyTab.
Just go to Settings->Applications and uninstall updated Market it will go back to 2.x for a while.
Or try tool like OldMarket http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1240344
You can also change build.prop yourself, you will need to change two lines:
ro.build.tags=test-keys to ro.build.tags=release-keys
and
ro.sf.lcd_density=200 ro.sf.lcd_density=240
reboot, delete Market data from Settings->Applications
Big thanks to junkshow for investigating it.

How to report bugs
If you think you have found a bug.
- verify you can repeat it, make sure it is not caused by the fact you did not wipe the device by rebooting to recovery and using wipe when you first installed CM7. Particularly when coming from other ROMs that use ext4. When coming from RFS your partitions should have been reformatted on first boot but wiping after install will not hurt.
Please read existing open and already closed issues at http://github.com/cm7sgt/android_device_samsung_galaxytab/issues
If your bug is new.
Please see if it is upstream (general CM7 not related to Tab) bug, see in CM7 issues tracker http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/list
If it is already there, please stop or add a comment there.
If the bug is about generic issue, please try to verify it it also happens on other CM7 devices. If so, you should post it in CyanogenMod issues.
If the bug is Galaxy Tab specific, like, some hardware functionality is missing, some driver not working. Dialogs messed up because of resolution etc, this means it belongs to Galaxy Tab device issue tracer and I can fix it.
In this case please open new issue here http://github.com/cm7sgt/android_device_samsung_galaxytab/issues
Please use pastie.org or something like that for posting logs.
SDCARD controversy
By default, the real micro SD is /mnt/sdcard, the internal mmc is /mnt/sdcard/external_sd, like in Galaxy S CyanogenMod builds.
If you don't like it, you can swap the devices, go to Settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Application and check Use internal storage [ ] checkbox.
Reboot, now internal will be /mnt/sdcard, external will be /mnt/sdcard/external_sd like in Samsung's Android.
In recovery, real sdcard in /sdcard, internal sdcard (embedded MMC) is /emmc.
If you want to flash zip from /emmc just go in recovery "install zip from sdcard" -> "choose zip from internal sdcard" -> choose whatever you want to flash.

How to build CYanogenMod 7 for Galaxy Tab GT-P1000
First, please read this article http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Compile_CyanogenMod_for_CaptivateMTD
You will need the same prerequisites.
Then
Get repo as described there. I put mine in /usr/local/bin
Sync Android tree. You need to use manifest from cm7sgt github.
(If you have more/less than 4 cores modify your -j4 accordingly)
Create a directory for your Android, you will need oer 10GB of free space. It helps a lot to put it on SSD.
repo init -u git://github.com/cm7sgt/android.git -b gingerbread
since kernel.org gits are still down, until they are back up you need to sync repo tool from github, so use this command line, thanks to Disgustipated for pointing it out.
curl https://raw.github.com/android/tools_repo/master/repo > ~/bin/repo
chmod a+x ~/bin/repo
repo init -u git://github.com/cm7sgt/android.git -b gingerbread --repo-url=git://github.com/android/tools_repo.git
repo sync -j4
Grab Rom Manager as described.
You can't (no script) and don't need to copy proprietary files, everything is already included in vendor git.
Setup your android build environment and choose device to build:
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch cyanogen_galaxytab-eng
make -j4
There, it should build with no issues. Sometimes it will complain about API changes, run make update-api then.
From here you have two options.
1. Build Heimdall images. You will need kernel with loop support, losetup, ext4 tools (mkfs.ext4).
cd device/samsung/galaxytab/tools
./buildimage
it will grab stuff from out and create ext4 images. Flash with Heimdall.
2. Build update.zip
make -j4 bacon
How to build kernel
First, you will need the arm toolchain from CodeSourcery. You need arm-2009q3-68-arm-none-eabi-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2
From http://www.codesourcery.com/sgpp/li...q3-68-arm-none-eabi-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2
Unpack it in /opt/toolchains. as root
mkdir -p /opt/toolchains
cd /opt/toolchains
tar -xjvf arm-2009q3-68-arm-none-eabi-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2
Then in your CM7 tree
BEFORE YOU BUILD CM7 TREE
cd device/samsung/galaxytab
./kernel.sh defconfig
./kernel.sh modules
This will configure the kernel and build and copy modules to prebuilt directories. The kernel build directory is out/target/product/galaxytab/kernel_build
Build your android tree normally so initramfs is created.
Then again
cd device/samsung/galaxytab
./kernel.sh kernel
This will build the kernel using the initramfs in recovery/root and update prebuilt kernel image.
(for Latin kernel use kernel_ltn.sh script and use kernel_ltn file it produces)
Now you need to run make on your android tree again so boot.img is updated.
And proceed to buildimage or make bacon as usual.

If you installed Euro JJ4 ROM you probably have JJ4 bootloader.
It will probably also work with stock ATT and TMO bootloader but I cannot guarantee that. I have JJ4. People have reported issues using Euro ROMs on ATT bootloaders, I believe the same issues will show up in my CM7.
Great news. I have polish rom maybe i help. galaxy tab jm6
That is amazing work!
Well done.
Which issue r u tlaking abt? I have recent att tab went straight to jme no issue. Lemme know if i could hrlp testing. Ubuntu & heimdall ready. I actually pulled your old cm6 and cp kernel-tab and what not to cm7 but failed at lunch cyanogen...

some white lines while booting etc. if JME works for you my stuff should work too.

I'm no expert but this seems obvious (for me). If you have a linux box, do a "strings boot.bin" on a protected bl (extract from JMF downloaded from samfirmware for instance), you will see these lines
PBL: Error.. sbl verification failed..
PBL: booting stop!
My at&t backup boot.bin does not have the above 2 lines.
Just my guess.

this is because of the different hardware!
if ur not a developer, leave it till it is stable because u are missing some necessary features for everyday use!
landroid thanks for your response.
btw i wanna learn how to fix that. can you give me directions ?
first of all I'll try to get stock rom compiled.
too bad again not for CDMA tab user

First off all u need to find the kernel source for ur tab (i think P1000L, right?) And then apply the patches technomancer made to the kernel but this is very hard to do! The best thing would be to contact technomancer! And if i find some spare time tommorrow ill try to compile a P1000L kernel for u but i cant guarantee that if i manage to do that everything works! But i knoe how to compile kernels from source so it should not be a problem!

Get sources for your kernel from opensource.samsung.com.
Compile it with gingerbread branch of this initramfs https://github.com/cmsgs/android_initramfs_galaxytab
See what happens ;-)

Bluetooth Pairing: To get Bluetooth to work, go into Bluetooth, turn on bluetooth, put headset or device into pairing mode. Then Tap Scan for Devices, then tap Discoverable (Making the HD2 discoverable) the device will be found and paired and working. If you disconnect a paired bluetooth or turn off bluetooth, to re-connect, turn bluetooth on, then tap discoverable, then tap the device you want to re-connect to. Its a PITA but it works!

Works for me.
How to prepare your Phone for this rom if you are coming from another rom using the same CWR Layout (If you Flash a new CWR Partition you can skip this step):
In CWR go to Mount & Storage, and Manually format each section:
Format Boot, Cache, Data, System, then go to advanced and then wipe dalvik cache. once you do that, then you can flash the rom. I have made it that it formats boot, data, and system before flashing, but its an extra precaution, especially for EU users.
EXTRA NOTATION:
As I said in the FAQ, you can try different partition sizes, but any problems that occur I can not be responsible for. Do understand that we all have a limit of what we can use on our rom.
So seeing that so many people are having this stuck at gogogo problem, I have attached here the CWR zip for EU & TMOUS. The problem is not the Rom but your BOOT Partition Layout.
Just to be safe here are the instructions, "Just in Case":
Boot into Magdlr, make sure your phone is not connected by USB, then choose USB Flasher when it says waiting USB, plug your phone in, WAIT for it to say Waiting USB...USB, then flash the CWR I provided, these settings will and do work, when the phone reboots, then choose option 8 to go to recovery, and flash the rom, and right after flash the 1.3 update.
As a habit, you should after the flash of the rom go into the advanced option before rebooting, and choose error report, so that a recovery.log of the boot process is saved to your sdcard, and then you should pull this log into your computer. This log shows you the whole flashing process and can save you endless time and headaches of why your phone is not booting.
98% of the time the failure to boot is due to running out of room on the device because of the wrong partition layout. 1% of the time it is due to a wrong boot layout. 1% of the time its due to bad blocks on the phone that cant be writtten to which reduces your partition size.
I cannot guarantee that HD2 toolkit formats the partition layout correctly, or anything other program, this is what I use and it has not failed me yet, if you choose to use a different way of laying out your partition, then please do not blame the rom.
Thank you.
FAQ & Things
FAQ's
Q: Will you be putting out a CLK rom?
A: No, if you want to use clk its rather simple, extract the initrd.gz and zimage from the rom and place it in the fastboot folder. Flash the rom as normal, and then enter fastboot and type this command: fastboot -c "" -b 0x11800000 flash:raw boot zImage initrd.gz
Reboot, and enjoy!
Q: Does the TMOUS use an SD-EXT?
A: No, the whole rom fits on the phone, (yes you read this right), and you still have about 45mb of free space in the system folder.
Q: What about apps? Thats not enough room to put apps in!
A: All apps are scripted to install in the "DATA" folder, since you have nearly 400mb of free space, I think that is more then enough. Not to mention you still do have an SDCard.
Q: What about us EU users?
A: EU users will still have to use an SD-EXT. I didnt want to play with this much, since I dont have an EU HD2, but I am looking to see if I can lessen how much of the EXT is used. (Possibly moving framework and some rom apps into the phone). Still undecided.
Q: Are you planning to update this rom?
A: As of 1.5's release No. Due to the fact that a> All bugs should be squashed, b> There isnt anything new to add, c> and the biggest reason; Both my HD2's are biting the dust and can no longer continue flashing roms.
Q: Can I use a different Partition layout?
A: Sure, but if it doesnt work, then dont blame me.
Q: How stable is this ROM?
A: As stable as its going to get currently, there are too many missing parameters in this rom and until they are sorted out it will still have glitches and hiccups.
Q: I don't know how to flash this rom, can you help?
A: Sure. Read the sticky in this forum and learn the basics.
Q: This Rom is garbage, it doesnt work, and you call yourself a Chef?
A: No, Refer to the Answer above regarding me being a Programming Idiot.
Q: I like this rom do you have plans to do any others in the future?
A: No Comment.
Q: Can I donate to you for all you have already done?
A: Sure if you feel so inclined, its that green button under my thanks meter to the left, but if you dont, the thanks button will do.
Q: Can I download this ROM from my Phone?
A: Only if you are using mobile firefox or opera, the default browser will not work on the phone, it does not handle FTP links.
Q: I have these glitches on the screen, or some people call white noise every so often. How do I get rid of them, or do you have any plans to fix it?
A: Please See this Post: Graphic Glitches or White Noise
Q: I want to have your child!
A: Sorry I have 6 kids, the factory is closed.

Remember I am hosting the files on my own server, I have a limit of 5mb upstream, so please be patient.
And make sure to read the FAQ's I have just updated them with a post from Jaglicic If you still have FC's:
You can try this :
Download Android Terminal Emulator from the market and launch it
Type in su then hit enter. (Accept when SU asks if you want to allow root)
Type in echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 >> /data/local.prop then hit enter.
restart phone.
After a few ours testing I didn't have any Sense FC and no rosie restarts.
I am hoping that this is the way to keep rosie in memory.
God luck...
If it works please confirm here.
@Angeldeath
I dont know why you did implement your gps.conf (even though it was a lot of work for you) as tytung clearly said that his (which he had written by himself which means he knows about his own code) and everyone else's gps lib is not going to fetch any data of the gps.conf
so why even putting it in there? (or was it just because it can't hurt to put it in there?)

Installation:
If you are a pro and already have cLK and CWM installed, you know the drill (partition 300-5 since v0.5). If you are new to Android flashing on the HD2, I recommend stirkac's excellent tutorial. All necessary files can be found in HotMod utilities.
1. Download ROM and copy zip file to your SD Card.
2. Download HotMod utilities v0.2. Extract the zip file.
Flash cLK
1. Enter SPL by holding VOL DOWN while switching on the phone
2. Flash with CustomRUU.exe from HotMod utilities.
Install CWM Recovery
1a. Power up your phone while holding BACK key
1b. Plug in USB cable. Driver is located in folder HotMod utilities/google-usb_driver, if necessary.
2. On command prompt, switch to HotMod utilites folder and type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_leo4014.img
3. Reboot (type fastboot reboot or manually)
Install ROM
4. While powering on, hold HOME key
5. Select "install zip from sdcard"
6. Select HotMod_vX.X.zip
7. Confirm, relax, reboot, enjoy
MAGLDR:
To use MAGLDR, download HotMod_MAGLDR__utilities_[partition_+_cwm_4.0.1.4]_v0.2 and HotMod_MAGLDR_patch_v0.1. Copy rom and patch to sd card.
Install MAGLDR 1.13.

Oh great, a Froyo Sense at last !
I think you will encounter a huge success until 3.0 is stable...especially if you provide a patch to revert to the stock theme/framework...
Froyo+ Sense 2.1 ? Are you sure? It will be great but you must write it one more time

Ouch, you're right, my bad. Still might be an interesting project to pursue
Rom will be up in 10 minutes.
Edit: Files are up. I hope that everything is working as it is for me. Please report bugs or feature requests. Good night...
Hello,
this ROM sounds very good but are there any screenshoots? What is not like the Original?
Is this Version also for the EU-Version and what Partition Layout?
Is it also Multilanguage (German)?
Most important question: Is it only for cLK or also für MAGLDR with CWM?
Best Regards
Dennisth10
Everything is stock, thats why I made no screenshots. Maybe I should include some tomorrow. I removed some HTC widgets that I never use, but the important stuff is there. If something is deeply missed, I will add it again.
It should work for the EU model, but I couldn't test as I only posses the TMoUS model.
It is Multilanguage, and especially German is working just fine gps.conf is already set to Germany, so enjoy!

No problem bro, maybe it's even better, "all" who workrd on Sense rom goes to Ginger with a 2.1 but with all due respect for their hard work i can't stand on it more than two, three days. Glitches, camcorder, power menu and the rest smaller bugs it's still, even after big progress, too much for me. After many many task29 I would like to have fully working, daily using and whatevering rom, sense rom, for more than three days:-D and
I'm not Bond, James Bond
PS: But that doesen't mean that I will not try a new Pyramid 1.8 from Dung also:-D

You exactly described the purpose of this rom. This is meant to be the fully working daily driver. Camera and camcorder are working perfectly and there are no graphic glitches. Hope you like it. If there are any bugs, let me know.

No, not at the moment. You could try, probably it will boot, but there won't be RMNET, the only feature that you are missing with cLK. I could deliver that, but I think you should try the original (see first post).

EU users should use APP2SD following this tutorial by carl1961. Please report back.
Will test Raf 2.0. If everything is smooth, there will be an update.

*MAGLDR or cLK auto detect thanks for E334
*CWM Menu thanks for dorimanx.
Step by Step with Texts:
Download Package and check the CRC32 code.
If the code coincided, be sure you already install the MAGLDR or cLK.
The install script will detect the cLK or MAGLDR by auto.
No MAGLDR or cLK? click me to linking to HD2 Toolkit to know and install.
Install the package that you downloaded via CWM.
Select from menu to get what is you wanted.
Menu 1 : What kind of installation do you want?
NAND-Only for EU HD2 or A2SD for EU HD2? If you have a TMOUS HD2, you needed to select A2SD.
Menu 1-2 : What modules do you have? EU or T-Mobile HD2?
This step will decide where should be installed, /sd-ext or /data. so if you're the user who have T-Mobile HD2, don't get the wrong selected here.
Menu 2 : What mode do you wanted?
Here will decide what kind of mode you want to use, Fully or Lite(Clean)? the different is Lite only install some app that have to be install(like phone.apk).
Waiting to finished.
Step by Step with Video:
If you did the partitioning, in most case don't need wipe but it's depending on you. you can do it, for the reason with ensure.

hi it's need base and an app package :
nand=base+napp
a2sd=base+a2sd package
Nice rom and thread! Love the pictures and instructions ^^
Now sir, YOU made me want to flash this!
Just 1 question, I see you use htc sense 3.0, but I f*cking HATE the 3D animation in sense(when you swipe trough screens) is this removed? (please say yes <3)
And another thing, will we be able to use all of the sense skins that have been released?
I'm going to try this right away!
Good luck & Good job !!
so we are flashing base.zip the flashing over it with either nand only.zip or a2sd.zip depending on preferences
also rom states dont need ext the says under required that you do ?
[11 Dec 2011] [CWM] Sense of Lunar 1.0 [DORIMANX Kernel 2.1] [don't need EXT!]
*HD2 Required :
Radio 2.15.50.14
HSPL 2.08
MAGLDR 1.13 / cLK 1.4.0.1

First you flash the base, build 0706, then you flash update 2 for the base. After you've done that you flash either the NAND package or the A2SD package. If you use the NAND package, you DON'T need the sd-ext partition, if you flash the A2SD package you DO!
Hope I cleared it up a bit

good question, for now this Sense launcher --- Rosie.apk , I already modified anima part but can't and don't sure how to remove that anim you said. so I think it'll provided more speed then the original one.
and also I'll provide the Sense 2.1 one in op soon, if you still don't like you can take it

okay i'll check it ... can you use es folder manager or root explorer? I think the reason probably is I replace the sense 3's mail.apk ...
ok, if you do then try to replace those files for your mail.apk:
1. mail.7z is the original one in sense 2.1
2. mail-o.7z, if the first one can get into exchange mailbox, then pls try this one. it's the optimal one for file size and speed. optimal probably cause no-go so need test before put in next release.
*mail-o.7z working! thanks ksokol
the bookmark i found the reason, i removed the common_icon_bookmark_rest.png on resource. I'll add it back to fix this issue.

Soft Buttons dont work now
I there i flashed roeddie with apps on my Irish Vodafone Smart 2 - everything working touchscreen etc and volume sswitch - however my soft buttons at bottom of screen Home/menu/back/search do nothing now when pressed. Can you tell me what img file controls these buttons is it : Boot.img or Bootloader.img or cache.img or custpack.img or data.img or modem.img or recovery.img or system.img thanks - obviously there must be something different between the Italian smart 2 and the Irish smart 2 phones / ROM

Can you tell me what img file controls these buttons is it : Boot.img or Bootloader.img or cache.img or custpack.img or data.img or modem.img or recovery.img or system.img thanks - obviously there must be something different between the Italian smart 2 and the Irish smart 2 phones / ROM

hi, I have a same problem. Flash back stock Italian rom not solve the problem. I think the original 01015 rom could solve it, but i can't find. Maybe the original recovery (with four options) will be enough too, but i can't flash it back. Send OK write OK, but nothing changes.
Here is the solution:
Flash this rom, with this commands and after reboot wait a few secunds then say: wolo-looo and evrything will work well:
fastboot-windows.exe flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot-windows.exe flash boot boot.img
fastboot-windows.exe flash system system.img
fastboot-windows.exe flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot-windows.exe flash custpack custpack.img
fastboot-windows.exe flash userdata data.img
fastboot-windows.exe reboot

Hi there, my old u8110 got pwned, and touch is dead now, so I got now this nice smartphone, Alcatel v860 (Vodafone Smart II)
I was going to flash this ROM, but not sure since I see some negative feedback about soft buttons.
Can anyone tell me something more about this ROM please? Is just to know if it is a nice idea to test it or not.
Some guy some posts above gave a solution, does it work?
And if I get the time I could start working on CyanogenMod since there are not active projects of it for this smartphone
EDIT: I've flashed the recovery, and it's going great at the moment, even the home button is working now.
Now I'm flashing the ROM, let's see how it goes, hope good, thanks for this Eddie, hope to see you soon back at XDA

Cool! So you didn't get any problem with soft keys?
Did you already have the recovery?
I've got the stock rom with the stock alcatel recovery (I didn't update the firmware), so I don't need to get into fastboot to install, I just have to wipe and to restore roeddie's rom.. Is it right?

Yeah, I've flashed first the recovery.
But the easiest way is to use fastboot and the tool given by roeddie here
Just enter into fastboot mode and use ROM v0.9.6 + Recovery/Backup/Restore to flash ROM/Recovery.
It's pretty easy, if u need any more help, just ask me
Well, I flashed the ROM through recovery yesterday.
Everything works, except for GPS fix... It just... doesn't fix the location! I tried the apps fasterfix, gpsfix, gps status, but these didn't solve the problem! With the stock rom I had a pretty fast fix.
Does your GPS work well? If yes, could you let me see your gps.conf content? Here's mine:
Code:
NTP_SERVER=it.pool.ntp.org
XTRA_SERVER_1=h t t p://xtra1.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
XTRA_SERVER_2=h t t p://xtra2.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
XTRA_SERVER_3=h t t p://xtra3.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
SUPL_HOST=supl.google.com
SUPL_PORT=7276
I had to insert these spaces between h t t p because I still can't post outside links in this forum
Have you got some idea?
Thank you very much

With the GPS Fix do u mean the precision of the GPS on Maps? Because I get the same at stock and custom. It's accurate within 60 meters.
I mean the time that the gps takes to find my position, not the accuracy. It doesn't find it.... It just keep on searching forever, so I can't use any navigation app. That's why I asked you to post the content of your gps.conf, I think there's something wrong with mine.
Same Problems with gps-fix and activating bluetooth (roeddie_0.9.6)
[email protected] i use the same rom-image (0.96). when data-service and wlan is on, i m not able to activate bluetooth-service. the cell-phone tryś to do it, but it failed. only if i restart the phone, bt would be activated.
is there any fix for it?
best regards

Try using bluetooth whether WiFi or service data, both may cause a conflict with the bluetooth.
It may be a bug that u can solve by wiping with recovery.
If not, tell me what are u using BT for and I may give u a solution.

Hmmm, for me it is working, try wiping all data and dalvik-cache thru recovery.
Anyway I will post to you my GPS config.
