[Q] Issues with notifications - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is anyone having issues when using skyraider 3.5 where they dont always get notifications? I will get a Text or Email and will get no Icon or audio alert and never know anything until I stumble upon it by mistake. Is this a known issue with a fix ive overlooked?

received sms notice (htc evo - destroyerv2 rom)

I'm sure this is a HC notification but i can't get it to stop.. when i get a text i get a "received sms". I had same issue in the new miui so i'm sure its a HC issue.

[Q] SMS Problem

Having an odd issue, and I can't seem to find any information on it.
It seems that randomly my text messages won't actually save to my phone. I'll get a notification of a text received, and the preview of it shows up in the notification bar, but when I go to check it (either clicking the notification or opening up the app), it won't be there. It's like I never got the message. It's not in either the stock app or GoSMS's database. It would do this when I used Handcent as well tho too.
Anybody else have any issues like this, or know of a fix? I'll have to reboot my phone several times, or even try sending myself test messages to see if it fixes itself or not.
Edit: seems similar to this person's issue: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/te...ggestions/90512-text-messages-not-saving.html

[Q] CDM - Notification sounds

Ok, this just doesnt make sense to me and I cant find the setting. Hopefully its just easy and Im a n00b.
My gtalk and gmail app make a different sound than any other notification. Texts...droid life notifications...any notifications besides gmail and talk are the notification I have set in the sound settings. Those two remain completely different...does anyone else have this problem and is there a way to fix it?
Is this a ICS thing because my prior phones have never had this issue.
google talk and gmail each have their own notification settings, this way you can set an different notification sound for each one, so you can know what just came in by the particular chime that went off

Notification sounds not working properly...

I'm having a weird audio issue where notification sounds get clipped down to a quick blip when/if they play...all other sounds are ok . I've tried disabling ambient mode, pocket mode, etc. Anything that I can think of that may cause something like this. I was previously using stock Boomsound, but it did it then too. I'm using Adrenaline ROM now using HK, and it still does it. I've had this issue with multiple ROMS. Is anyone else having this issue? The only other thing I can think of to try is going back to regular messaging and not use Hangouts for SMS. Maybe that has something to do with it?
Does anyone have any ideas? It's driving me nutz!!!

Just did a bunch of testing.
I made sure that all the notifications were disabled in the stock messaging app. From my wife's phone, I sent myself a bunch of texts through hangouts on HER phone, like she normally would. I got maybe 9 out of 10 notifications just fine, then it would just give the first millisecond of a blip from the notification sound and start flashing the notification LED. That part always worked. Just don't always get the sound.
As a side note.... all of the ROMs I've been running have been Lollipop.

[Q] Did anyone figure out the advanced calling issue?

Question is as stated above.
I'm wondering if anyone has seen any issues since the update, besides the issues noted in the discussions already started?
I have a strange anomaly. When accessing an app via a Moto Display notification I see a brief vibrate icon in the notification area. It goes away within a second or two upon launching the app. I do not have my phone on vibrate. This was not there before the update. It does not affect the phone performance, but it does appear to be a small bug of sorts. Anyone else see this? I'm admittedly a little OCPD so that may be the reason I'm noticing!
