As some of you might know, Ziggy471 (ziggy471.com) took down all the links to his alpha/beta kernals from December on. Would anyone nicely happen to have the most recent ztest-INC-BFS-HAVS-041011.zip from April 10th or even the ztest-INC-BFS-HAVS-031811.zip from March 18th?
Ziggys kernals have always been the best performance and battery OC'd kernal for me..I had to recover from a corrupt SD card earlier today and sadly found out he took down the links to the kernal. Thanks for anyone who can help
Bud there must have been a problem with them or he wouldn't have took them down. I would go with the march 12th ones here's a link

He took them down because there was a couple people in the thunderbolt forum who kinda made him a little mad.

I removed all Alpha/Beta downloads for now, I'm tired of the controversy
on XDA. Some of you got to read a post that I put up for about 15
minutes this morning explaining my side of things, but I decided I'd had
enough of it. Guess some kernel devs are jealous of my kernel and won't
let it rest, so enough is enough, they're gone.
I still plan on working on the kernels, and if you all still want the
updates, let me know, and I'll still provide them to you.

Obviously none of the links work, it would be great if someone could upload a copy they might have in their download folders.

Every ROM I've EVER used has come outta Myn's repository. I've been stuck on his stuff like super glue. The last ROM he's released was 3 months ago for a first release Z port. I mean even flipzmode takes forever but he's had at least two more updates. I even figured he was waiting for an official GB OTA and base a new ROM off that but no green light still. Where the hell did the Guy go?! I suspected he moved to a different device but devs always USUALLY announce stuff like that. He still may have moved . Oh, and.don't flame me all you assholes just waiting to jump my ass. I've been on XDA forever just don't post. I know you guys live for crap like this but give it a rest. Its a question.

He is still around, he has been working on a rom called Synergy with many of the other developers. I just got an e-mail from him last night with the latest nightly. I wondered the same thing about a month ago, so I donated to him and asked to become a beta tester. It took a week before I heard anything back, but he e-mailed me, thanked me, and told me he was working on Synergy with xXxViRuSxXx and a few other developers. I joined Virus's Beta click a long time ago and now recieve e-mails from him and MYN. They are both still around and the rom looks like it's coming along real well. Shouldn't be much longer and you will probably see a release of it on here. If you don't want to wait, you could always donate to him or Virus and get access to it that way.
i've been using the nightlies since 05/31. It's a pretty sweet rom.
Too bad it's a closed beta (I didn't have to donate, but testes/devs/themers have privileges ) otherwise i'd link you.

The latest Kingdom is way better man!! At least in my OP.....it's 100% stable and seems as if everything is working.
You could, I don't know...go to one of the threads for his ROMs and see if there's any action, any posts from Myn.
There's always USUALLY a lot of action on one of those threads from both fans and Myn himself when a new ROM is nearly out or out.
Well, at least it's nice I guess that you realize that you're coming off like a douchebag.
Read the various subforums; if you had you would have realized that Myn is involved in the Synergy rom. I don't even use any of his roms and I've known about it for a while now.
He hasn't gone anywhere:

i actually didn't kno about the synergy thing. i heard alot about it, but didn't know who was working on it. myn? virus? sounds like one hell of a rom already. maybe get aamikan and even calkulin on it, and it sounds like the sense rom xda has been looking for...
thanks for the info.

for some reason i cant post on the developers side so im trying to see who can give me a hand here. im getting some crazy glitches with synergy which I think is my favorite rom out there, whats the best synergy version?
now when it comes to evolvedrom im getting this glitch on the lock screen when using pattern. any way to fix this? thanks.
Once you hit 10 posts you will be able to post there.
Sorry I don't know much about those ROMs and you were kind of vague with your question.
Are you partitioned .
You could try the V6 supercharger script.
Try a different kernel.

On EVOlvedROMs there's no fix for that as of yet what are you running right now as your reading this?
thanks everyone for the support. right now im running mikg 2.52 which I think its alright but simple. I meant to ask what version is everyone running out of synergy, they've got rc1/rc2 etc... I tried their last rsl1 which was ok but it used to lag a bit when using its built-in rotating screen but I like it a lot!!
sorry and I am not partitioned yet.. im running a normal 16gb card, I did get a new card in the mail yesterday but I just realized I will be using for another device, its another 16gb class 10. Im trying to get my hands on a 32gb class 10.
Flashing 101 from Nube
I also run MikG when I want to flash a rom with zero problems for my hardware. Could not get synergy to work correctly on my hardware even with all the fixes. Evolved Final works the best for me, but you must read and learn to use the "search the thread" if you have any issues. Most issues posted, are problems of not following the flashing instructions, or the posted fixes directions correctly, since its not a simple "drop and flash" rom like MikG and older roms. It's very easy to believe you followed the instructions correctly, only to suffer painful hours of trying to fix something that's not broken!! The older simpler roms did not have any learning curve, you downloaded, moved to sd, and flashed, boom!! done!!
ALSO!!!
Evolved Final has without a doubt, the best support post group answering your questions anywhere!! *Infamous*, Roc, and others seem like they never sleep, and go way beyond most members posts to isolate your particular problem and reply. I'm beginning to think Infamous must be "god", because he never sleeps, and is frigging everywhere at all times, ready to absolve you of your "flashing" sins!! LOL He can even make it rain in So Cal if he wants to!! LOL

Wow!!! I thought I would feel different afterwards!!
Hey guys, normally I wouldnt ask for something like this cuz its not exactly my style...but im looking for 5 or so individuals interested in helping me bug/beta test the different roms i currently work or will so in the future
current ones are gingermede, gingerbliss, gingerbangsense/evolved (and maybe vanilla if i keep up with it or not)
and current unreleased one is a sense 3 port
for the fascinate i just have people test in irc for me usually, but since very few people ever going into the inc2 irc (and most use aosp) thats not really an option
for those interested, you would need a dropbox account...as i would make a shared folder in there where i would put the various roms/updates
there will be a buglist in each rom folder where anything that comes up should be noted by tester(s) and any logcats should be put in there as well (logcats should be zipped up and include a description of what the log is of)
the benefits of this for me? well it helps me identify and squash bugs/issues a lot quicker..and limit them in releases (working on 2 phones and half a dozen roms is a tad maddening in regards to tracking stuff)
benefits for those interested? besides being very helpful individuals...if you like to test stuff out, or try stuff before others..then it could be fun
theres no pressure to have to test every single rom, flash 3 roms a days, or find every little bug...just flash a try a particular beta release and lmk what comes up
since i have dozens of pms a day from various things on xda, it would be easier perhaps if you just respond in this thread....if no one is interested, well im no worse off than i am now

im sure this has been posted a thousand fold, but i wanted to post one for the personalization of it. What would you say its the best overall kernel for cm7.2. im about to have a crack at using tiamat with it since it was my personal fav on my incredible. any suggestions?
I like aeroevans 8bfs kernel. His 8 cfs is good too but idk the difference really. His ics v9 kernel supposedly works with gingerbread but I haven't tried it
The v9 kernel works really well with cm7. I would really recommend using it. Battery life is much improved.

I Dont understand what the problem is. He posted in the correct section, was polite and simply asked for our opinions. Kernels do change, with updates and whatnot while others get left behind. simply searching and grave digging an old thread doesnt really change anything. Just dont want this place to become a thread-prison.
As for the kernels, tiamat hasnt been updated for our phone in ages, a lot of stuff has changed for GB since their last update. JDK kernel is in the same boat. This leaves the various versions of Aero's kernel essentially, i'd go with .8bfs or the v9 ics kernel, which i'm currently using with no problems.

thank you if youre not gonna help then dont post. its people like that thats made alot of great devs leave xda cause of the trollers.
anyways thanks for all the tips ill try em all out. im currently testing out some sense kernels for great battery life any suggestions there?
I fully agree. When you get a new device you are not sure what is old and what are outdated mods and what is the newest thing sometimes. I agree we should search first. But I have had times where I search and google and still no answers. Then when I finally post a question there is usually someone making a refference about another kitty being killed. I came from the Droid X2 which the phone was crap and Motorola sucks A$$ for locking the phones down. However that forum was very friendly and eager to help out noobs. I do understand some of the questions asked are a little crazy and you can tell they did not search. But if you are pissed about someone posting just ignore it and let some other helpful person respond. And if they post in the wrong section the MR Highway will come get them!! He is awesome at that! Keep up the great work Mr Highway. Sorry just my .02 cents. Also as the noobs learn they help out other noobs and hopefully you respected devs can ignore these simple questions. The DX2 was my first phone and I had no idea what I was doing. With the help of the DX2 community I got up to speed and was able to help others. Look at my thanks count. One noob helping another. I asked plenty of questions when I first came on here had some helpful feedback and some smart remarks. Well needless to say I am now comfortable with flashing Roms,Kernel, radio and moving back and forth from AOSP,Sense, and ICS and I found all the fixes and work around ICS by reading the threads and not asking questions here. Just some food for thought.

Again, our phone lacks a large variety of kernels, however the few we have are solid (probably the reason we dont have 2000 of them xD)
The only kernel i've really used for sense is drellisdee's #21 kernel, it comes with all the usual cpu governors and is included in a lot of ext4 sense roms. It works on sense 2.1, 3.0 and 3.5 in my experience as well.
Hopefully that was of some help :s

Yes, he did post this in the right section if it was just kernel and not ROM specific with CM7.2 why just question for AOSP or sense? And I wasn't rude in my response to him as far as him posting a question. I am irritated knowing that we have just recently had a lot of problems in this thread with people just simply asking questions they could've searched for and reposting the same thing 8,000,000 times (su, killall drmserver) ya that is familiar

Im locking this, before it goes south, an in my eyes, that's what it's looking like.
I've been around since cyanogenmod was just another rom along with bugless beast and whatever the hell was running things on eclair/mytouch and ive compiled kernels hundreds of times back when slackware linux 3.5 was out so i feel like im somewhat of a vet and i appreciate the fact that i have a nice little linux device permanently connected to a broadband connection with so much support in a neat little package.
=)!
and yet i never say anything on XDA i just appreciate... unfortunately i cant post in the development forum because i dont say much ;/
big thumbs up to cyanogenmod for taking their work so seriously and being so persistent, you guys must really love what you do, trust me i know the feeling =]
i just got this phone last week and before i did anything i rooted and installed the latest CM with whatever kernel appealed to me in the dev forum and i thought seriously my screen was defective i had no idea it was just a rom/kernel issue so im glad that over with.
i updated to cm22, and the flicker started again when using the 4/20 KT kernel so ill just stick with cm20 +kt420 for now what an unbelievable combo!
and i'm kinda disappointed in AOKP every time i check the AOKP/task thread somebody is always complaining about something that doesn't work... AOKP used to be my favorite. (when the ICS days began atleast.. i loved it on my gnex)
and by the way... to people having problems flashing between kernels, when you flash a kernel, wipe cache/dalvik, then flash the rom again, then gapps, then the new kernel. kernels include more things than just addition lines of code nowadays and thats the simplest way to work around most issues i see people posting about.
that is all!
Somebody is always complaining about things not working? I see every post in my thread and I don't see what you are talking about. 99.9% of the people that post state how well everything works. The people that complain are the ones that don't follow the simple installation instructions. You might need to read through the thread again. Or just try it out for yourself.

+1, agreed.
Just like the guy who wants to request a theme for a rom, that morphology has for that same rom.
READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coming from the skyrocket which had a pretty good community I am really pleased with what developers do in their spare time and decide to share when it comes to this device.
There are so many options it can keep a flash junkie busy for a while.
Keep up the great work devs!

I love these threads....I have an idea: If you are disappointed why don't you step up and create a solution or make your own ROM? Its easy to complain about FREE work when you don't contribute whatsoever.
True, don't complain about something people spend all their time on and give away for free ...

We have a large dev community compared to many devices out there. I actually came from a galaxy nexus because I got bored of only aosp roms that were all pretty much the same.
(sorry, had to do it )
Tasks AOKP is by far the best ROM out there for the AT&T S3. I have run it longer than any other ROM i've tried and have had absolutely zero problems with it. I will never use anything else for this phone. Just my personal experience of course.
Whoaa guys ease up on the bashing... OP had only one sentence in his post that was negative everything else was positive.
I think everyone appreciates the hard work and time that devs put into all the different roms/kernels available out there.
Up until the late, I can agree that the 3.4 kernel builds (for any ROM including Tasks) weren't all that great which is why I was using CarbonROM with the BMS kernel (3.0).
But I updated to Tasks 4/23 and everything has been great...super super smooth.
Tasks updated kernel has been smooth. I'm running his newest now, flashes it a few hours ago and love it. The devs for the S3 are wonderful. So many more options than other android phones I've had in the past.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
If I'm reading right, OP is disappointed in AOKP and Task's AOKP.... and hasn't tried them yet?
It takes me longer to download a ROM than it does to flash it, restore data and check out all the main features for functionallity..... and you're calling them out by name without trying them?
Gutsy move.
Nothing wrong with AOKP and we have a fantastic aosp community. They seem to be more active then the original development. If anything I'm disappointed with the lack of touchwiz ROMs. All and all. We have a good community and a good group of developers here. /end thread.

This thread sucks, I want the last 5 minutes back
3rd party ROMs are always works in progress. its not like anyone here is hiding the fact that these are all "in development". not all ROMs are "for" everyone, but that's the beauty of it, there's a flavor for everyone.
I personally prefer ROMs that are subtle improvements to the stock experience which give me a more enhanced version of what Samsung intended. BUT, there are times I'll think about getting a nexus 4, so I'll run a aosp/cm/aokp based ROM while scratching that itch. or those days I wished I had a note 2, we've got options with multi window and page buddy fully working.
if you don't like it, don't use it... simple as that. I've never critisized a ROM or developer if I don't "get" their work, that just means its not a good fit for me and I move on.

Huh?
1.) Looks as though you forgot something as simple as reading. Read my post again. If you consider any of that one post as bashing then I think you might need to check the emotional state you are in at the time that you read it.
2.) You're definitely not reading the OP. He pretty much stated that he hasn't even tried the ROM before judging it. That right there speaks for itself.
3.) Please do yourself a favor and grow up a little. Stirring up the pot with the highschool antics doesnt accomplish anything.
4.) Gold stars for you dude. Keep on contributing this wasteful drama here in a development site. That makes a ton of sense.
