How long are you allowing after flashing rom before pulling battery? It can take 10mins to boot up after a flash. Can be a scary wait but should be patient.

Hey guys I was flashing the rom on my tilt 2, and I had a damn power outage / surge, the computers went off and back on. But now I am stuck on this bootloader screen and I am having issues hard resetting and soft etc.
I read somewhere others had mentioned they were able to flash off of the sd, how can i do this considering i can not connect to the pc via usb, everytime i turn on the phone its simply stuck on the multicolor screen. Also when i try to hard reset it goes to a screen real quick and says no image error or something.
Anyone have any ideas?
Need this phone fixed, wife is close to delivering our baby, and it would suck to be off the grid for a few days.
Thanks in advance for any help.

would this be considered to be a brick?
screen says :
RUUNBH in upper right corner.
Then RHOD300 32M MI-BC
SPL-0.85.01 iNex
MicroP(LED)
MicroP(KEY) 0x04
Turbo HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
When your on tri color screen try plugging it up to the pc and look at the bottom of your screen to see if usb shows up if it does then you still can flash in this mode
thanks will give it a shot, it does in fact say usb on the white block

Then flash away my friend
You can buy a USB card reader for around $10-$15 that will read various card formats, including MicroUSB. Then you can move the RHODIMG.nbh file from your PC to the root directory of the SD card. Then run the bootloader without the phone connected to the PC, and it should flash the .nbh file from the SD card.
The card reader is good to have around anyway. I had a similar problem, where I couldn't connect flash from the PC for some reason, and I had no way of moving the .nbh file to my SD card, since I had already run Task29 to wipe my phone.
yeah i was able to re flash the hardspl. but now i am stuck on the rom splash page instead of the tri-color screen. want move off of that screen,
says
B 80
R 4.48.25.20
G 61.39tc.25.30U
D 1.92.74508

I cant seem to get it to do anything right now as far as via the usb. Or hard reset
So how do i go about making the phone load from the micro sd card first instead of the phone? Or does it do that as the 1st boot device?
Thx in advance

Hello,
MY phone is totally dead few days ago and still fuguring out my self..
Okay, the problem is this i did rooted,s-off and hboot upgraded ! it was okay for few days and after few days the phone just turned off itself and never turn on!
and i did something(i don't know what was it.. but i did something for sure) now its s-on and seems like hboot changed to normal.
when i try to turn power on it stay on HTC logo and when i do pwer+vol down it showing me picture of handset + exclamation mark! .
So i did power+vol up button and it showing some menus like install update.zip from sd card something.. so i did install update.zip (i downloaded from somewhere) but signature failed..
seems like the phone is now unrooted and there is no OS in my device !(i formated everything...) even recovery mod doesn't work well.. in this case what should i do??
i downloaed original TELUS RUU File(Im Telus user) and trying to install it to my desire using usb cable.. but program keep showing usb connection error.
IT said i need to turn on my phone first but i can't turn on my phone.. it just stay on HTC logo.. so i tryed POWER+VOL DOWN but still usb connection error...
Can anybody help me??
sorry for bad english ! thank you!!
Try putting the pb99.img file on the root of yer sd card and load yer bootloader eh. Yer phone should automatically start updating it then yer off.
To extract the pb99 you need to run the ruu then on yer pc in the run/search bar in the start menu type %temp%. Find the rom zip file and paste it to your sd card then rename it to pb99.img. you'll need to use a card reader or another micro sd phone as at the moment you're usb bricked.
Sent from my Motorola Startac running Atari 2600 software!
You may as well just run the ruu. It takes next to no time to root again.
Sent from CM7
thanks!
Thank you!!!! Solved !!!
Did you do it with the pb99.img? Just want to know for others with the same issue. Also, you should change the title of the thread ending it with "SOLVED! " so others can see it's sorted.
Sent from my Motorola Startac running Atari 2600 software!
Yes, i did pb99.img
Thank you.
Oh !! for ppl who can not install with pb99.img i will suggest rename "rom.zip" as "pb99img.zip" and put it into root folder.
Go to Hboot(Power+Back) and it will automatically start installing your new original firmware (during installing be patien it took little time).
Thank you Pwraggcan.
ok so heres the story, its kinda long so i might include cliff notes at bottom.
i have an htc incredible, verizon branded. i was trying to flash it over to boost for my son to use, he has one of those crappy sanyo phones. i did all the reading of the "donor" phone and even installed the NV465,466,1192,1194 files onto the incredible. i was at the stage of changing the meid to the one from the donor phone. it wouldnt take the meid and i went to get up from my chair to take a break. when i stood up the phone fell and unpluged from the usb cable and hit the floor, battery came out. well when i went to plug in the phone in again i couldnt/cant get past the "htc incredible" white screen. it seems to be stuck in an endless cycle, but if i hold the power and optical center key i can get to the boot menu. nothing in the boot menu works. i have tried everything fastboot, bootloader, reboot, reboot bootloader, hboot, recovery, clear storage, simlock, factory reset and even plugging the usb cable in does nothing. i can see the phone in my devise drivers but can not get anything to load via usb. i have tried ruu, nothing special rom(dont know that it would work since its not rooted) on sd card and nothing seems to be working. is there anything i can do? or did i just make a brick?
cliff notes: flashing htc incredible to boost, phone stuck in endless "htc incredible" loop. need help

i am not familiar with that with method, explain please?
try this plz:
droidforums.net/forum/droid-incredible-hacks/95406-how-correctly-unroot-incredible.html
use the PB31IMG Method without turning s=on, ( i had stock radio and still have 7.28 )
1) download that PB31IMG.zip and drop it on the root of your sd card ( it has to be named ( PB31IMG.zip ) so make use you have file extensions showing on your PC.
2) boot to hboot and and let see the file and install it
3) used unrevoked ( remove sd card ) to aquire root again.

ok, so lets go back to the original method we talked about.
The only way to brick your phone is during flashing a radio, and something goes wrong. which i am hoping you have not done?
Back to pulling the usb cable out, and putting the SD card in and booting to hboot
pushing the down button from the first screen shot, will take you to another screen, where it will pause and then should look something like the second screenshot where it is checking the files, which will then give an opt to install.
( you can toggle the power button to get to the correct screen in first screenshot

Hallo,
just now I was trying to open an app on my DHD but it kept force closing so I decided to Normaly restart it. When I did that it went to the Welcome Logo then got stuck and kept on turning on and Off.
Then I removed the battery and tried again. This time the Bootscreen appeared (I was glad since I could recover a backup version of the RAM) but to my amazement I couldn't navigate through the options. Even the power button didn't work. I tried several times but with the same results.
I was wondering is there a way to restore my mobile from my laptop (USB Debugging?) now after I reached this state?!
How could I solve this?
Any help would be appreciated
UPDATE: I noticed before the Bootscreen loads, there appears some messages quickly before they disappear. I kept on turning my phone on and off to see what they said eventually I came out with this

Can you navigate any menus? If you can't you probably have a volume key hardware issue. If you can, i would just put a p98diag.zip on the root and reflash (use the rooted one).
Sounds like you are booting into bootloader. You need recovery. Pull the battery, then reinsert and hold volume down + hit power. If that doesn't work if you have adb set up on computer, plug it in to computer and use adb reboot recovery.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA
I guess that you have a PD98IMG.zip on sd card.
Remove it or everytime you reboot in bootloader it will ask you to update in a never ending story. Probably this is why all other commands are not working except reboot.
Then reboot bootloader and go to recovery.
No I can't navigate (the weird thing is the power button also dosen't respond) it's like it freezes as soon as it turns on... Could you give me the PD98IMG.zip in a separate link?
I tried reinst the battery while holding the volume + but it didn't work. It vibrated 4 times while the charge light turned green but that was it. It stayed green and the screen was off...
I've always had the volume keys issue even before it went crazy (they do not always respond to my press) but I just installed 3rd party apps as a workaround.
I couldn't find the p98diag.zip anywhere on the SD card (could you give me the path for it?)
I will try to reboot it through my laptop but could someone give me the commands I should write? I'm not that experienced in that field.
Btw I left it for a while before I turned it on again, it went into Safe Mode (no apps no nothing) then I turned it off and after several tries it finally turned on in the normal mode and was almost stable until I restarted it and it went to point 0 again and now I'm stuck with the bootscreen :S
Thanks for your help

but it's been like that for 2 hours now. I tried reinst the battery and pluging in the mobile to my laptop but it didn't recognize it. (I tried the adb and it gave me Device not found" error!
Is it normal for the phone to take long to parse the zip file? what should I do now?

You shouldn't have installed pd98diag. I would suggest either trying to run the ruu to get back to stock, or find the stock rom in pd98img.zip form and place on root of sdcard. Then reroot and start over.
Edit: if you find the stock rooted in pd98img.zip form that should work too and you won't have to reroot.
Edit 2: be sure to remove the pd98diag.zip from your sd card.

Good advice! I still have all the files I used to root (even the RUU)
And you're right I shouldn't have flashed the old pd98img because now my laptop can't recognize my mobile and I can't debug it from the command line (it says Device not found)
Can I still be able to root the img without using my phone? I used this guide to root my phone (http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-downgrade-htc-desire-hd-to-root-it-after-ota-update/)
Where can I find the rooted img? and will it be possible for me to upload it here so that someone could root it for me on his device and give it to me rooted?
To boot into recovery
Hold down volume - button (not +) while pressing power button.
Let go of power button but continue pressing down on volume -.
Hey presto ... recovery.
It's a very easy mistake to make, I did it myself a few times when I first got into rooting and flashing ROM's.
lol!

The only thing i can do is remove battery. but pressing the power button does the same thing. Tested my sd card on another device which showed my fat32 system was fine but the ext4 parttition is empty (It shouuld not be empty). i tried flashing recovery by a PB99IMG.zip file. but the phone did not detect the zip file. you need card max size 2gb to recognize the file PB99IMG.
Treid with a 32 gb card. placed the PB99IMG.zip for stock hboot at the root of the sd card. started the phone (both ways: (1)power and (2)power + volume down) and straight off the hboot menu was visible. it scanned the sd card and when u get an option to flash the file it was writen
"Parsing....
(1)Bootloader"
below which i think there should be an option for- volume down(...) or volume up(...). But there was no such option.:crying:
