Do Bacon Bits 2.6.32.21 & Stock 2.6.32.17 Kernels support loop devices? I was informed that the Stock kernel did support loop devices and I have asked this questions on [MOD][SOLVED] Ubuntu install on G2 (which nothing is solved on) and [MISC] Vision BaconBits 0.3 threads but no one will answer me.
Ok, I was able to find out that both of these kernels DO support loop devices!
(checking under /dev/block shows loop devices present)
Thanks to all the people who looked at this post and NEVER bothered to reply.

Question: Where are these kernels located? For download
Hey,
I'm running CM7 at the moment, the latest stable release, and I don't believe the standard kernel that comes with CM7 supports loop devices. Is there a kernel for the wildfire that does?
What do you mean with a "loop device"? Is it this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loop_device?
If you can maybe elaborate on your goal you can get some more to the point answers.
My htc desire z is complete and perfect with elitemod rom running for a few months now
There is only one thing missing, linux
I tried a few install guides and it would not boot. Since I can't post in android development thread for this mod, I'm asking here. Someone has to know if elitemods kernel supports loop devices, I'm running the latest 2012 release.
I have been trying to install arch linux along side my jedi invasion rom. However the kernel does not support loop devices. How do I either add loop support, or what kernels will work with this rom and support loop devices. I've been looking for an answer for 2 weeks on this subject with no luck what so ever. Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.
