Is anyone using a Bluetooth keyboard with their phone? There are a couple different options out there it appears. A foldable, closer to full size, and and small pocket type keyboard. Just curious if anyone has used either and their feedback.

I'm not using a bluetooth keyboard now but I have in the past. When traveling I didnt want to take a laptop and used my smartphone to get emails but could never type on the tiny built in keyboards or screen keyboards. I used a small foldable keyboard that holded into a unit just a tad larger than a back of cigarettes. When needed I would just unfold it and plug my phone into it.
I had both bluetooth and USB. They were made by Fellowes and were super handy and small to carry around, I wasn't about to carry a full keyboard of any kind when travelling. I don't know if they are still being made but I intend to look for another one to use as a travel keyboard.

OK, maybe I am just too geeked about this phone, but I figured we should put a wish list up for those of us that cannot stop drooling over this device.
I know the Atrix has a decent size battery, but I am often without a charger and the more juice I have is the better. SO...
I wish Mophie would make a Juice Pack case for the Atrix 4G. They make some of the best extended battery cases for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad I have ever used. The quality and extra battery life they have brought my iPhones has been unparalleled by anything else I have ever used. It would be sweet to have something like this for the Atrix.
A battery pack would be awesome; I can't really think of anything better though.

and a cheaper multimedia dock (aka just a $20 charging station /w USB hub and hdmi adapter).
Coming from an old Tilt with hardware keyboard, I'd also like to see a portable mini-keyboard to connect to the Atrix - wired or wireless. Something like the foldable iGo Stowaway Keyboard would be nice, but that one appears to be discontinued.
Really what would be ideal would be some sort of usb-like add-on that clips onto the phone and gives it an optional phone-sized keyboard for those times that it's useful - and can be left in a bag otherwise.
I sometimes take notes on my phone, and I don't see touch-screen tapping being as convenient as a physical keyboard (even if it's miniature). The laptop dock is a neat idea ... but even if it wasn't overpriced, all you really need is a tiny keyboard to take notes, which is a lot easier to carry around than a full-sized (pseudo) laptop for times you don't expect to need it.
I'd like to see a better battery an a Bluetooth keyboard case - similar to the Keyboard Buddy for the iPhone.
a game controller like the ones they have for the iphone
For those who are planning to get one of these docks read this first before making your decision.
I got one of these keyboard docks a few weeks ago. It looks nice, is sturdy and somewhat portable and light. At first it was working normally until the day the tab got stuck in the clock mode and the keyboard didn't work anymore. I called Samsung and I followed all the instructions like factory resetting the tab. This actually work for a short time but everything happened again and again and I was tire of resetting the tab and installing everything again.
So, this is what a learned of using my keyboard dock:
If I don't use the dock for almost two days it will stuck the tab in the clock mode.
If I charge the tab using the dock when it is in the clock mode, it will freeze the tab when is fully charged. After a power reset (holding the power button until restart) the dock works normally as expected for a day.
If I leave the tab in the dock in sleep mode without charging and without using it the battery will discharge almost completely in 12 hours.
Apart of this issues, it works nice. Anyways I'm planning to get a Bluetooth keyboard in the near future so, this dock will be a nice charge station on my night table.
BTW, this is my third dock after two returns and all behave the same.
The dock is just useless. Might as well get an apple keyboard or something. The software keyboard should not popup at all if the dock is enable or hell any keyboard for that matter.
That was a deal break for me. It is easy to get around, but utterly infuriating.

Weird. My software keyboard doesn't pop up unless I hit one of the keys that trigger it. Only annoying thing is the autoswitch to the Samsung soft keyboard that still requires you to hit OK. Wish it just switched while plugged in, then went back to whatever IME you were using before.
I don't know why they didn't include a card reader on the keypad dock silly. ...

You are right. i compared both in the store and the only difference that i was able to see was the black plastic that hold the tablet in place.
Was just reading a post on gizmodo about best wireless keyboards link here... and finally found good use to my lenovo bluetooth keyboard sitting in the closet... it paired up with my phone absolutely no problem, now I can take notes and type like never before...
Take that, tiny blackberry keyboard.
Done it with a Logitech Android Bluetooth keyboard and a Thermaltake Bluetooth mouse. Awaiting arrival of my MHL adapter so I can hook up to a spare monitor.
going to buy a asus, transformer prime for that!

I'm also tempted by this concept. I think there would be a transition period where I moved all of my media and everyday use to my phone (with a keyboard and mouse and full size monitor)...and I bet it would be rapid and I'd only keep my PC for the only thing anyone uses PCs for anymore: Content production.
The only time I *need* a PC is for work stuff: Photoshop, Vegas, excel. Also Audition and a few other pro audio apps out of work...and I'm sure the excel thing could be taken out the the equation pretty quickly.
Everything else? Media consumption, web browsers, communications, etc...all on the phone and/or tablet now. To be able to take my main computer with me would be fantastic...it would also make PocketCloud infinitely more useful on a full screen with a full desktop interface (kb/mouse/full screen).
This is going to happen. Between "the cloud" and our own smaller clouds (home networks, SAN/NAS/Home Servers, media sharing hardware, etc) keeping a quad core 300-500 watt behemoth around is getting less and less necessary.
The only grey area so far is 'games', but, most people consume those on game consoles so that's likely a moot point.
...an interesting time to be alive in many ways, technology especially.
Yeah I did this as well. I never could pair it to my original epic.

Hi guys,
Do any Note owners use a bluetooth keyboard? (and mouse?)
Instead of buying a PC for my bedroom which I don't really need, I am just gonna connect my Note to my TV using the HDMI cable but it would be nice if I had a decent keyboard and mouse to use when browsing the web. They do not have to be tiny since they will be used at home but does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!
Pictures, videos, links welcome.

Honestly man they all work equally well. I have the Motorola BT keyboard and it's very comfortable. It includes the media features like the play/pause/stop/skip/and volume as well as some shortcut buttons for the browser, music, back, and home button. It's nice and easy to use. I also have the logitech mouse and it works nicely. But it's really up to what would be most comfortable to you as they all work pretty much the same.
This one looks good

It looks very nice, but a tad too expensive.
Any other recommendations for a bluetooth keyboard & mouse set for the Galaxy Note???
(I am assuming it has to be bluetooth since I will be using the MHL cable to connect to a TV.)

I have the logitech keyboard and it does not work with the stock rooted GB note OOTB. I am waiting for ICS to troubleshoot it if I will even need to. Supposedly it will work with anything above android 3.0. It does come with a very nice multi-function case/stand though, so when it does work with the note I will probably begin carrying it instead of my laptop.

got my pretty HP WebOS BT Keyboard QWERTZ for 22Euro from amazon
works with normal batteries, extra functions: back, for music: play/pause, loud+-, silent
also using I-Tec Bluetouch 243 laser mouse (small to midsize, nice to use)
with on/off switch,
3 cursor speeds,
pressing scrollwheel opens menu
(the 2 additional side buttons so far without function on my note)
I found this one on ebay and would like to try it:
It's 14$, it is big enough for 10 finger writing and it looks very nice. Has anyone maybe tried it?
Wireless Keyboard 6mm Ultra Slim Aluminium Bluetooth 3.5 For PC Macbook Mac iPad
I can't post links, but you can find it in ebay for about $14.
It seems to be made mainly for Apple devices, do you guys think it will work with Android as well?

How's the timeout delay? can it be customized?
Im using a cheap BT keyboard , and what's annoying is, the timeout delay is only 3seconds.
So if I become idle for 3 seconds, then it would put the keyboard to sleepmode, and when I type again, there's a 1 - 2 seconds delay before it would wakeup.
I have the logitech K810 Bluetooth keyboard and it is just great. the idle time is long enough as well
I second the timeout in this keyboard no issues here. Def recommend

i bought one in ebay but not equal. I that is better than mine. The price was 35€
I have an older model of this keyboard and it works great. I think it's a few minutes before it goes to sleep, but I've never noticed a delay. Big plus is the battery life. Perhaps it's just my model, but it does have a few quirks, such as toggling the input every once in a while when I hit the spacebar. Again, it's probably just my model, but there have also been certain places where for the life of me, I can't connect get the blue tooth to connect (though other devices work fine).
Not sure if that really helps. Good luck!
