Multi touch Keyboard

are we ever going to be able to get a multitouch keyboard on our evos?
The default HTC keyboard supports multi-touch.
lol fail. Did you try typing on the keyboard with two fingers at the same time?

Not for me.
While the stock keyboard does not support multitouch, there are a couple 3rd party ones that do. Smart Keyboard Pro (I think thats the name) definitely does, not 100% about others though. I've used SKP for awhile and find it to be just as easy to use.
Better keyboard does not, even tho it says it does on the app description. Smart keyboard also does not from what i tried. If you do find one let us know! Maybe we can port the keyboard from the Droid X over.
This has nothing to do with a Multi-Touch Keyboard but a Virtual Keyboard nonetheless...does anyone know if there's a way to use the Virtual Keyboard from regular 2.1 Android on our EVOs?, because I personally think that Keyboard is better than HTC's.

No, the hardware allows for unlimited multi-touch, but no software keyboard is utilizing it.

You can download the Multi-Touch Keyboard APK file from the Motorola Droid X and install it using ASTRO or anything like that and it works fine, I'm using it now, it's close to the regular Android Keyboard I wanted.

How did you activated? I can't seem to get it active after installation.
Menu -> Settings -> Language and Keyboards -> Check on Multi Touch Keyboard
then go to any text field, press and hold. a pop up message will come up. select input method and choose multi touch keyboard
download link to apk pls?

[Q] Android Keyboard DJ Droid 1.5?

Hi
I'm looking to get the default Android Keyboard on DJ Droid however I'm having trouble finding it, all apks that I've tried do not work, so just wondering if there's an apk or something flying around to help me out?
Thanks

HTC keyboard on the 101

I started with an HTC Aria and got used to the keyboard, which is different than the stock Android keyboard found on the A101. I have tried the gimpsta themer site that creates an apk, customized keyboard. I have successfully installed the apk, but it isn't working. All I get is force closes when I try to select it.
Has anyone had any luck installing this keyboard or any other that has the same look and layout of the HTC keyboard?
I tried the one from the HTC Incredible but no luck, they have some HTC specific libraries that would need to be ported over. I am not that handy yet!

[Q] use G2 keyboard to control other android devices possible?

Has anyone found a way to use their G2 keyboard to control other android devices? I know programs like Gmote can control a PC with appropriate server side software installed.
However, I'd love something that allows me to use my G2 keyboard like a standard HID keyboard through bluetooth so I could pair it with another computer without installing the server side software... and better yet, being able to pair and enter text into my android tablet! I hate to carry both devices + a portable keyboard when I have a perfectly good one on my phone already!
Is there something like this out there already? Or could someone easily build one?
