hi everybody...
my Phone: T-Mobile DE Mozart 16GB 7004
in the early days of nodo update rolling out i debranded my mozart with htc europe firmware and flashed the nodo rom 7389 (bootloader 1.30). shortly after that zune told me i could update to 7390
while not many people speak about that,
it had some awesome feature updates for the mozart
first of: Stabilizer and Auto-Focus for the Camera
and some more or less important HTC Color Theme (Green)
it also had a bug were gradient colors gets reduced to like 16bit
now this was the HTC Europe ROM
so i wanted to jailbreak my phone
i had to flash back tmobile rom since i dont have sd card reader for goldcard use
the workaround to debrand my phone with htc europe didnt work for earlier roms, only the nodo one... so i got back to tmobile 7004 (bootloader 1.25)
i forced the nodo update by chevronWP7updater by chriswalsh.
it didnt update the bootloader!
ive checked for c&p, its there.
htc theme gone, okay tmobile may remove it...
but why is there no Autofocus on my Camera now?
the cam is back to crap, only joy with this nodo is that its jailbreaked :/
NoDo from Microsoft is only an OS upgrade. The features you described sound like a device specific firmware update which is not part of OS upgrade but rather should be a separate ROM upgrade if T-Mo is willing to push it out.

Goodnight community,
there is a new update for the Samsung Omnia 7 avaible. It was released 6 minutes ago. My phone is the 16 GB version with Telekom Germany branding.
As most of you know, 7.10.7720 was the newest Mango, but now I have 7.10.7740.16.

I did not.
Custom accent colors, Zune SmartDJ modifications, ..., even the Interop Unlock is still present.
My father has the same phone as I do, unlocked the same way and also running most of the modifications I have on my own phone.
There is no update avaible for him.
Thanks. I just hope that this update fixes color banding on my Omnia..
What a nice birthday gift!
No update for me though... unbranded UK CSC...
nothing for H3G
Guys, i own an unbranded omnia 7 and my firmware is still 2424.11.8.2, i wonder if i should try to push the firmware manually or it's just as it should be ..

I looked into it in WP Bench, the issue is still present.
If you have got a developer unlocked device, you can fix the issue yourself within 2 minutes.
To the rest: No update message for my second Omnia 7. I'll try to answer all questions and will let you know whenever I see an update popup.
Yes, I've Interpop unlocked my phone, but it is on Mango. There is no fix, as I know for Mango, only for NoDo.
Weird......
Ive got a Mozart and Titan.
Mozart is branded UK Orange, The Titan is unbranded.
Both have had an update through Zune in tha last 20 minutes or so.......
The Mozart is 7740.16, My Titan is still 7720.68
No internet sharing on Mozart.....
My Samsung Omnia 7 Device got an Update too. But i dont have any information about the Changelog - in Zune there is no such Updateinformation.
Strange...
no update for LG c-900b
in fact still waiting for tethering drivers update...
I wonder if this update also fixes the disappearing keyboard issue.
Zunes starts updating, phone reboots, aaaaaannnnnd:

Samsung Omnia 7, Orange UK, fw 0222.11.8.5, bl 5.8.1.9, not unlocked.
Has anyone else experienced a similar error?
same here, orange aswell.. but Im living in Brazil..
dunno if it's related but i've used the samsung firmware updater =[
Few minutes ago installed same update to LG Optimus 7 via Zune.
here in austria, my devices have no updates. omnia 7 and optimus 7. both unbranded ...
Country: England, Network: T-Mobile, Device: Samsung Omnia7
Unbranded 000-88 -> No Zune Update
Samsung Omnia7 T-Mobile UK TMO-GB (via Regedit) -> Zune update for 7.10.7740.16
BUT update fails, as I had used WP7 cab sender to force SFR-FR KI3 firmware.
I think flashing cabs halts the Zune update path.
I think I'll flash a preNoDo branded TMU Rom very shortly and update all the way via Zune. Damn branded is the way to go :-/
just to add a little piece of information: no updates for htc mazaa available
HI
now been updated
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19430778&postcount=53
ya, I think the samsung SFR-FR KI3 thing f*ked up our updates u.u
- update the firmware using SFR-FR KI3
- connected to macintosh wp7 utility - no updates
- connect to zune (via bootcamp) - new update = FAILED
- phone reset
- macintosh utility wp7 - no updates again
- zune - no updates
Tried to use the Windows Support Tool, by setting my device into recovery mode, but the freakin tool didnt recognize
same thing with my friend's omnia, which is basically the same: Orange uk, SFR-FR KI3, 7720
and they say android is fragmented ._.
Hello all,
So after updating my Lumia 710 from Rogers, in the "About" screen of the Diagnostic Tool I see that I am on FW revision 1600.3007.7740.11465. This is a few versions behind what seems to be the latest version out there for unlocked variants of the phone...
So I found this page:
http://www.wpcentral.com/hack-t-mobile-lumia-710-flash-windows-phone-os-8107-new-firmware
Which claims that they have flashed the latest Indian firmware (8107.12070) for the RM-803 variant of the phone onto the T-Mobile (RM-809) version. However I am somewhat reluctant to try flashing an RM-803 image onto an RM-809, especially due to the fact that they support different 3G bands. What do you guys think?
Alternatively, I can see in Navifirm+ that the latest available image for the RM-809 is the Australian 8107.12050, so that might be a safer choice?
This will be the first time I try to manually update a Windows Phone... So what do you guys think? I really want to update it since there are some GMail syncing issues on the build that I'm running now.
I updated my lumia 710 from rogers (RM-809) with the RM-803 indian rom 12070 with no problems! Nothing is missing and it's now unbranded If you follow this guide it's really simple!
Thanks, Simon!
After reading your post, I gave it a shot and everything seems to be working fine I wonder if we should be seeing any battery life improvements like the Lumia 800 users?
Just something I should mention, though: I unlocked my phone so that I could use it on Wind Mobile, but after going through the flashing process, the phone became locked again so I had to re-enter my unlock code.
I didn't know that it was even possible for a phone to become locked again, after already having been unlocked...
I am thinking about getting a Lumia 710, and I am really surprised that you guys were able to flash a firmware from another RM-### without bricking the phone.
I currently own the X7 (RM659) from the Rogers and I was told not to flash the Belle firmware from the X& (RM707) since the phone will get bricked.
Nonetheless, thanks a lot for the info.
Which software do you use to flash? Phoenix or WP7 requires other tools? Never mind I found the post detailing how to debrand it.
The weird thing is... I tried to downgrade from the Indian (RM-803) 1070 build to the Australian (RM-809) 1050 build, and I wasn't able to...
It seems there is a small battery bug (Diagnostic tool doesn't display battery info) so that's why I tried to install the Australian one instead.
Whenever the next update comes along, I hope I'll be able to switch back to an RM-809 build... It seems like the safe way to go.

Normally you shouldn't... But the only reason I did it is because other people had successfully done it.
Also keep in mind that Symbian phones seem to be a little pickier - you can brick them just by trying to downgrade to the previous OS.
Edit: Well that's weird... My Battery Status randomly started working!
Edit #2: I just remembered I did a battery pull, so that may have had something to do with why it is fixed now...
I never knew it was possible to downgrade the OS for Nokia phones whether it is Symbian or WP.
Would an unlocked T-Mobile Lumia 710 work fine on the Rogers network? Do the GSM bands match?
It would indeed. The RM-809 model supports HSPA 850/1700/1900/2100. So it will work on any of the North American operators. (excluding the cdma operators like Verizon and Sprint, of course)
Actually, I bought my Lumia 710 from Rogers, unlocked it, and I am using it on Wind Mobile now (same hspa band as t-mobile).
Edit: I hope you're right about the downgrading thing, since that would mean that the reason I wasn't able to flash back to RM-809 was because of the fact that it's a downgrade, as opposed to something being messed up on the phone! I guess I'll find out when the next update comes along.
I am 100% sure you cannot downgrade Nokia firmwares without bricking the phone. I read about one method somewhere, but it was very complicated.
If I were you, I wouldn't be worried, now that you have the RM-803 firmware, next time there is an RM-803 update, you should be able to update via Zune/Nokia Suite without having to go through the method you used at the beginning of the post.
Now your phone is an RM-803 so Zune will recognize it as so and update it normally hence the beauty of debranding where you don't have to wait for operators.
Hello guys i'm new to the site.
I want it to ask if i could flash my lumia 710 (t-mobile US) with the RM-809 VAR T-MOBILE BLACK version that appears in navifirm.

I was wondering that too.
Also, there's two T_Mobile 8773 fw's listed for each color phone. One appears to have been released 06/04/12. The other 05/29 . What's the differences?
Just heard that Tango updates are rolling out for HTC Mozart! (got a notification from the official HTC Mozart page on Facebook too)
I haven't received the update on my unbranded Mozart, has anyone received it yet?

Not available yet for me (unbranded Mozart)

Could you list out specs in settings\about
i think his update is the 8107. tango will be released in june...
The update was pushed by HTC to both Mozart and HD7 this weekend. It upgrades the bootloader. OS version unchanged. No new features. Probably a prerequisite to upcoming Tango OS update is my best guess.
Cheers

OS: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware: 2250.21.51205.707
Hardware revision: 0004
Bootloader: 5.12.2250.5(139188)
aquanaut88 is right, it's a bootloader update
I remember about Microsoft Policies for all the carriers about updating Windows Phone that they can skip one update but they CAN'T skip the next one. So why AT&T could skip both 7740 and 8107?
I am wondering since my AT&T Titan would still in 7720 forever if i don't do the update by sending the .CAB
BTW, anyone here know what the update 8112.7 is? i just received my new Titan 2 and that is the OS build that i have.
Edit: I can't change title, but this is about the japanese rom.
Heey guys!
Today I was busy with updating my phone and trying to get OTA updates. I actually want to keep the Japanese rom and don't want to switch to the Taiwanese rom.
When I was searching again when Android Marshmallow would arrive on the Japanese version. I found this article: http://sumahoinfo.com/android-htc-desire-eye-desire-626-yotei-buttefly-htv31-htl26-au
It was already announced that the update would come to the device. But I couldn't find any more information regarding when. But this article could change that.
In the article there is a leaked update schedule, and the Butterfly 3 is present. It states that they skip Android 6.0.0 and will release the 6.0.1 update in Q1 of 2016.
But right there is the problem. You can't tell if they mean the Q1 which starts at January. Or the fiscal Q1 which starts in April. Let's hope it's the latter one, as that quarter will run from April till July. And the Update would then be released this month or next month. If that happens we could see more features for the device. As we know that NFC works on the Japanese rom. But we would than also get all the new features Android Marshmallow brings us.
Ofcourse, if you don't use NFC at all, you could stay on the Taiwanese rom and enjoy Android Marshmallow already. But as I said, for those who want to stay on the Japanese rom, this could bring some nice features to your device.
I have non rooted, HTV31, unlocked by KDDI Japan, still in the original box. I didn't receive any marshmallow, the software version I have is 1.11.970.1 and I don't get any updates for months.
On the other hand, on my another HTV31 which I converted to Taiwanese ROM there is marshmallow available but it says that it doesn't want to do OTA because phone is modified.
KDDI is so slow... I wish someone makes ROM with Marshmallow and fixed messaging and NFC and TV features working properly.... HTC will never do it; hate it.
Some interesting things are going on at au.
Back in March we got an update on the update schedule for some devices.
The HTC HTV31 was also listed together with some Samsung, Sony and some other less known phones.
But this month(August 2016) some devices on that list received an update to Android OS 6.0.
The devices that received an update are:
- TORQUE G02
- AQUOS SERIE SHV32
- Galaxy A8 SCV32
It appears that some other devices on that list already received an update back in June and July.
That leaves us with only 4 devices left to update.
So we could start expecting an update for the HTC HTV31 at the end of this month or next month.
