Yes, tried FP several times with reboots but it didn't help.

when froyo ota was first released I installed it and everything was fine but I kept having problems with youtube. some videos would play but most would say sorry this video cannot be played. I did a factory reset and still got the same problem. the only change i have done is the move any apps2sd mid. could this be the cause. as anyone else experienced this?
Same thing here. I don't think it's anything you have done, the app just sucks. I had a HTC Hero with 1.5 with this problem. Then, upgraded to 2.1 and the problem was gone. Now, with HTC Desire I'm having the same problem again with 2.2. The videos usually start playing if you keep hitting 'play' for a few times, but they might also stop while playing.. Very annoying.
I wonder how widespread this problem is?
Looks like almost everybody with 2.2 have this problem (including me)
yeah me too

has anyone tried using a 2.1 youtube.apk on a 2.2 rom?
Try turning off HQ. Anything I wanted to watch on youtube kept throwing up the same error but once I turned off HQ it worked fine for me.
At least its not just me then. Disabling high quality is no good to me. It helps to play the video but it looks and sounds a lot worse.
I hope they fix this somehow.
Yup, HQ disabled fixes this, but its not very usable solution...

I would try if you tell me where to get it.
I have the same problem and after observing it it seems it tends to happen when the data connection is not so good.sometimes my wifi drops and I can see when it happens looking at the lights on the modem.when I am on gprs videos don't play generally when the signal bars go down.

My connection is perfect. But it still happens so I'm certain its the app.
I dont think that its because of the connection too. In my case it always happens at the near end of a video that it stops playing and an error appears.
Is it just me or have this new radio rom 32.46.00.32U_5.10.05.17_2 fixed this playback problem? Just flashed it in my LeeDrOiD 2.0a and tested few videos. Not a single fail/errors yet after 10+ randomly selected videos. Can someone test this too?

If I where u I'd wait a few days and let us know how it is. Because when I factory reset my froyo it works fine for a few hours then the problem starts again.

I was already running this rom with 2 older radios, and both had this issue. I'm not saying this new radio fixes it, but I really hope so.
Anyways, I continue testing and will report if there's errors or not.

I flashed the new radio but i still got the problem. Im using the official froyo rom.
My LED flash has stopped working for both the camera and my flashlight app. It was working just fine but it doesn't work at all now. Does anyone know a way to fix this? I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the flashlight app. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be burned out, especially if you used the flashlight a lot.

I would hope not, I haven't used it much at all. I haven't even had the phone a month yet.

Has anyone else noticed that the framerate when "flipping" in Flipboard degrades occasionally?
This started happening to me recently and I'm really at a loss as to what could be causing it. It normally goes like this: After rebooting, the performance is fine (i.e. looks like its running at ~60fps). After closing the app / switching to another app and then returning to Flipboard, all animations become really choppy (looks like they're running at ~20fps).
The really frustrating part is that it never used to be a problem. I've tried uninstalling, clearing data, the old version, the new version, etc, etc. Nothing is fixing it. I'm trying to narrow down if something else that I installed is causing the slowdown, but so far nothing is making sense. Also, nothing else on my phone is experiencing any performance problems.
Anyone else have the same issue?
This happened to me when I first got my GS3 a month ago. Idk why but maybe there has been performance updates for the app - because Flipboard is buttery smooth now.

Are you running stock rom or custom or possibly aosp/aokp? Im on a stock rom and haven't had any issues with flipboard at all and use it nearly everyday

Count me in for no issues, on kyanROM with newest ktoonsez.

I can't prove it yet, but I have a theory that the problems may actually be caused by the Lightflow app.
Curious to know if there are any Flipboard + Lightflow users out there...

I am running ParanoidAndroid 1.9.8 in Tablet UI mode. I downloaded the Youtube app from the play store and when I start up the app all looks fine. I understand that there are some issues playing HD videos on a mobile devices, but if I play a non-HD video the video starts playing as normal and after about 15-20 seconds my phone crashes. And by crashes I mean the JB loading screen appears and the phone starts up. It does not do a complete reboot where the white HTC screen appears just the JB screen appears. And this happens whether I am in the app or in the browser. Keep in mind I am fairly new to Android (converted from iPhone) 3 months ago, and just rooted a couple of weeks ago, so I don't know all the android jargon yet but I am learning. I have been searching for anyone else with this same problem to no avail. So after all that rambling, my questions would be: Is this a rom issue or a known app/browser issue that I can't find a resolve on? Has anyone else had this issue on this rom or any other roms? Or can someone point me in the right direction, since I can't seem to find anyone else describing the same issue I am having.
This is an issue with all the jb Roms as far as I know, like most other new systems it takes a little bit for all the kinks to be worked outbut with all our awesome devs I'm sure it won't take long

Got to Settings ->Developer Options and disable the HW overlays. You will have to do this every reboot but it should help YouTube performance

Thank you very much, I am now able to watch a video without crashing...I appreciate you assistance!
Hi,
I had the SE Arc S for 7 months now, overall a nice device, but what annoys me is the battery. I'm using CM9.1 (dunno if that's important) and at night with WiFi, mobile data, gps and data sync. off (according to batt. drain analyzer) it loses 7% (and some nights even 9%) per hour. I deleted G Maps and Beautiful widgets, but that didn't work. I installed watchdog, but that won't list all running apps (BetterBatteryStats reports A LOT more). Any idea what causes this?
Is Facebook app installed?

no, I noticed that using a lot of battery instead I'm using Friendcaster

Had a similar problem with CM10. Never came up before, don't know why it cropped up now. Once instance, had as much as a 40% battery loss overnight. Wi-Fi off, Bluetooth off, Data off. Nothing discernible to drain the battery. Thought the kernel might be at fault, so switched kernels, yet no resolution to the issue. The battery kept winding down, as if something were sucking its life out. Reflashed the ROM, things went stable for a day or two, but then the problem resurfaced. Switched over to ICS, and the problem has, since, gone. Wouldn't want to point the finger at CM (in fact, there are many users using it without any problems), but would love to have some idea as to what the problem might've been. Was really enjoying Jelly Bean; nice and smooth. Shame this problem had to surface.
I have ICS (android 4.0.4),am considering Pac ROM, to circumvent this problem, will that help, any experience?
oow, confused here, is ICS a rom like CM9.1?
Still, wil ditching CM9.1 in favor of PacROM help you think?
ICS = ice cream sandwich, its android v4.
No idea since ive never used pacman but have you reverted to stock?

Try to reinstall the rom, but first make a backup of your apps using Titanum Backup, or flash another kernel, or change your rom.
