I've done a whole lot of searching without much success. Is there a way to remove the annoying Voicemail notification that keeps randomly showing up? Or is this an issue that is being addressed by dameon? I understand other cm7 for other phones have fixed such issue. I also understand our cm7 is in the alpha phase.
I use google voice and it still shows. I've tried blacklisting the 9016 number.
What can I do or is there nothing at this point in time?

I'm running Calk's rom with the Rogue Outlaw kernel right now, but it's been happening ever since I first got the phone, even before I rooted. Sometimes incoming or outgoing texts just won't arrive...it's like they just disappear. I don't think it's an LOS issue, because I still have full bars, instead of the "no" circle.
Is this happening to anyone else? Am I just missing something?
Yep, happens to me every now and then, if I reboot the phone, I get them.
Only way I know I get them is I use google voice, so texts come to my phone and my computer. I hear my computer go, and I wait for them on my phone, never show up.
Oh, good call. I've noticed that if I send texts through the google voice app, they always go through, but if I try stock, handcent or Go SMS they just randomly drop, or show up hours later. Called Sprint, and they said that there weren't any service issues.
No idea what's going on, but it's annoying as hell.
After searching quite a bit I see a lot of issues with Google Voice and indicators etc, but this doesn't apply to me as have never used GV.
My voice mail indicator is stuck on even after my carrier resetting the message waiting indicator flag. I thought it had to be a problem at the carrier still, but interestingly if I put my sim in a different phone I don't get the problem. This has persisted through a data wipe and clean flash of a AOKP JellyBean 2.0. I can clear it by force closing the phone app (or wiping data on the phone app) but a reboot or airplane mode on/off and it comes back. Anyone have any ideas? Oh tried 30 times leaving a message and clearing it again both with reboots in between etc. and waiting for voicemail to hangup instead of hanging up myself etc...
Any phone system engineers out there? I think it has to be the carrier but then why doesn't it pop up on a different phone?
I'm having an issue with not receiving notifications for missed calls or new voice mails. Does anybody have know what app precipitates those notifications? I do get notifications for text messages. All that being said, I have frozen over 100 apps with TB and undoubtedly froze something that I shouldn't have. I would hate to have to go through all those ice cubes trying to figure it out. Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That is the problem, you have frozen stuff and none of us know what those things are.
Unfreeze them all. Reboot into recovery, clear dalvik and cache and fix permissions. Bet you the problem goes away.
My bad

When I was freezing apps, I pretty much followed the list furnished by Rooted in Vegas (which is excellent, BTW). I also froze the voicemail app thinking it was the worthless voice-to-text thing that you have to put up with for 30 days. Actually it is the notification app and when defrosted, I am again receiving voicemail notifications and still have a lot of bloatware frozen.
I did clear the caches and fix permissions before I restored the voicemail app and did get the LED notification for missed calls.

Even if/when following a reputable guide I'd work the Freezing only one (or a couple) at a time and test the _functions_ needed to ensure everything you use is still working, and continue to trim from there. When testing variables you first have to start with a known working _baseline_ or you are likely to end up with unexpected results, riiight ?
You might also write back to the creator of the Guide you are working with your findings. Just a thought *Grin*..
I'm currently using crDroid ROM although I have noticed this behaviour before on others.
The problem is the voicemail notification shows up all the time even though there's no actual voicemail. I've tried to clear the data on the phone app but that's only a temp fix as the icon pops up again. Any help to fix this would be great.
Thanks
Anybody else notice that speech services keeps trying to update but just sits there waiting for connection? Just updated to a12(c44) & it keeps popping up. Can't find any settings anywhere.
I did see this like you when I updated to a12 C44 the other day. Also couldn't find anything, so I turned a notification off somewhere....
I thought about doing that also, but it's still running in background & using battery. At least with the annoying notification I can cancel. I just don't understand why It won't connect.
Could be a bug between 11 and 12? I assume it will resolve it self someday....
