[Q] Status Bar Bug w/ Location Aware Sites - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The status bar keeps flickering down on location-aware sites like the main Google search page. The GPS icon seems to be triggering this. This is a new problem, starting about the same time as the Instant Previews search feature, announced on March 8th.
This constantly steals focus from the cursor, making navigation difficult.
If I clear the previous permissions granted, and deny access to my location, the problem goes away. That's not good enough, though. I want it working like before, since I get better search results when Google knows my location.
Here is a short video of the problem occurring, it illustrates the problem more clearly. Anyone else experiencing this bug?

Trouble with google apps anyone ?

Hi
I'm pretty sure this isnt a new thing but just wanted to check with other users.
Google Goggles (cant enable search history) ive read on other forums that this seems to be a universal bug on the s2, the spinner just seems to go around and around till i quit out of app....but the stranger problem is that when i scan an object etc the little scanning bar only goes about a centimeter across the screen befor saying "no match found" and just displaying a bunch of vaguely similar coloured stuff in the images at the bottom.....odd
the other issues with Google apps ive found are
(these could be due to a faulty sensor on my device tho)
Google Maps (street view, compas mode) & Google Sky maps
on both of these apps i can spin thro about 180 degrees fine (everything as it should be) but once i go past a certain point ie: halfway through a 360 rotation, the second half becomes all crazy and jumps all about the place ie: back to the start point of the 360 turn......you know what i mean ?!?
anyway, these are not things i use every day but am curious as to if anyone else has issues with these apps
cheers
EDIT: just found some youtube vids showing the nexus S with same issues,
hopefully when CM is released it may sort the issue

navigation lag?

So I had some weird issues while using navigation today.
I'm running stock, rooted BTW.
My navigation locks on in seconds, maps, whatever, as soon as I type in an address in nav, I'm taken right to the navigation screen. That part is good.
however, every 10 seconds or so, it seems like the navigation would lag, then catch up to my position.. as it doesn't stay locked on.
Would the AGPS patch in the dev forums fix this? I did not see this addressed anywhere in the notes.

I would try clearing data and cache for Maps in Application Manager. (maps is nav) and if that does not work, uninstall MAPS and reinstall from Google Play.

[Q] Is There Anyway To Disable The Annoying GPS Noifications?

The notifications for the GPS are crazy annoying even when you're not using something like Maps. In the lock screen and in the notification bar it just clutters up everything and adds more crap to the already limited spaced notification drop down. Anyone know of a way to disable it or stop it from showing all the time?
I can't wait for custom ROM work to take off haha
Just turn off gps?
Really!
Pp. Lol.
i dont get any GPS notifications
I think stop notification from your mobile.
This is an annoying issue, its rather a google service or samsung background service that is constantly searching for GPS location.
It stays in the notification bar for 30+ seconds all day long, I have never had another phone do this and it most likely waste battery.
I am surprised that no one else has seen this issue so far.
I wish it wold go away as well.

Does this happen even after your disable gps?
Check your apps, you may have installed an app that wants constant location input and it wants GPS on all the time. You need to check permissions on apps you have installed from the play store.
Delete app/apps or if you are rooted with Rom toolbox you can modify permissions and block ability to access GPS.
Pp.

[Q] Did anyone figure out the advanced calling issue?

Question is as stated above.
I'm wondering if anyone has seen any issues since the update, besides the issues noted in the discussions already started?
I have a strange anomaly. When accessing an app via a Moto Display notification I see a brief vibrate icon in the notification area. It goes away within a second or two upon launching the app. I do not have my phone on vibrate. This was not there before the update. It does not affect the phone performance, but it does appear to be a small bug of sorts. Anyone else see this? I'm admittedly a little OCPD so that may be the reason I'm noticing!

Issues with Android 10 (V11.0.15)

Hey.
I wanted to ask users of this phone, does they have the same issues i found, and if they found some more issues - write about these here.
Signal strengh
So first issue is signal strengh. it was first thing i noticed after update from Pie to 10. I get one bar less on every network (2G/3G/4G) - is this normal - does anyone experienced it?
Settings suggestions pinned
Settings suggestions are wel known issue of Android 10, even in pixel's. There is one way to disable it ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/how-to/guide-remove-customize-mi-a3-suggestion-t4092703 ) but sometime after some of them will re-appear.
No AMOLED theme
Am i the only one, whos having that blue-ish dark theme? Is there any mention of standard AMOLED (pure black) theme? Any rootles way?
Notifications on lockscreen dont appear
THATS MOST FRUSTRATING ISSUE i found. When phone is fresh, notifications appear for ~week, then they simply dont. I tried many things like wipe, turning them off, then on, and it helps for one day or 2. Is there any fix? Does it have something to do with battery saving? I'm not using Allways On Display BTW. Sometimes, some of them appear, sometimes not, thats totaly random.
Some apps gets memory leak
With writing "some apps" i mean one, but its local Polish Bank app, after closing the app, throwing it out of recent apps i constantly getting error, that app (in this example) "enveloBank dont responding" and i have 3 options - information about app, close app, send opinion (which i done). I want to ask, if someone have similar problem with any other app. Issue was not present in Android 9.
Finally, where can i report issues? I know its very stupid question, most of you are propably will say on Mi forum, well i guess thats not proper answer. I was very unpleasingly throwed from Google forums to Mi forums, then from Mi forums to Google forums (i was asking about Android 10 release date).
No need for another thread.
