Hi Guys,
I was flashing my Defy from 2.1 to 2.2. Everything went smoothly. But when i reboot, my phone was unable to detect my sd card. Anyway to help? Thanks.
Check if the sd card is unmounted. settings > sd card and phone storage
I have the same issue. 32GB Class 4 SD card worked perfectly until I upgraded to Orange Deblur 3.4, now its not detected.
When I go to Settings - SD card, there is an option to mount the card. When I click on that, I get the notification beep about 4 times then nothing for a few mins, it just reverts to saying 'Mount SD card'.
Also my 3G is now non-functional
Try other smaller size sdcard to see if it work, or format the sdcard from pc to start fresh.

On my DInc, my SD card refuses to be read even though there is a card in the slot. If I boot to recovery, I can go under Mounts/Storage and Mount USB Storage to copy my ROMs etc to it from Windows Explorer.
But as soon as I boot into the Dinc, the SD card says "Preparing SD card" followed immediately by "SD Card Removed". What's the deal with this?
I've used a great number of ROMs and it simply hasn't worked in a while. I'm currently running Clutch 1.0.
Any ideas how to get my SD card working from the phone again? To reiterate, I can access the SD card if I reboot to recovery and access it under Mounts/Storage. Just not when the phone is booted up for use.
I think your best bet would be to reformat the sd card through a pc to FAT32. Make sure to copy all the sd card contents to a computer before formatting it. See if this helps.
Hi,
I'm currently using Task's AOKP Rom and after performing a TWRP nandroid backup to my external sd card.. My external sd card started having problems. When I rebooted back to AOKP it showed an sd card error in the notifications asking me to reformat.
I've used this 32gb sd card for 4 months, installing various AOSP and TW JB roms with no problems at all. Yes, I wipe and flash everything correctly. This seemed to just happen randomly. I plugged my phone into my computer and it only shows my internal sd card available. When I go to mnt/extsdcard in file explorer, it shows no files.
Does anyone know a way to get my ext sd card working again? I'd like to get access to my files.
Thanks,
Tom
Update: it must just be my ext sd card... I plugged it into an adapter and it's not reading on my computer. My 8 gb version works fine but my 32 doesn't read at all. Any suggestions or is my sd card fried?
Hey guys, first post on xda!
Today I rooted my phone for the first time ever (got my note II for 3 weeks now) and I though it'd be cool to install a custom rom. I went for Slimbean 4.2.2 .
I installed slimbean and slim gapps and everything is working fine, except that it doesnt recognize my external sd card. In the system settings the option to mount it is grey, and the file manager doesnt detect it either. However when I boot into clockwork mod recovery then I can see the ext sd and install stuff from it (I installed slimbeans and slim gapps from here). There was one time where for an unknown reason it did give me the option to mount my ext. sd card but when I clicked it it said that it was damaged and had to be formatted. Ofcourse I sad no because the ext sd card has all my titaniumbackups on it... Also when I plug my gn2 in my pc I don't get to see the ext sd card either, only the phone's storage.
How can I fix slimbeans not seeing my ext sd card and make it auto mount on startup?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Try reformatting it using gparted.
-Back all the files up onto your PC
-Download and burn gparted live CD
-Boot into gparted, right click on sd, click delete, then right click and choose new, and format it as fat32

I found out the problem was the sd card being formatted as exFAT. Formatted it to FAT32 with a tool and it works now!
Hi guys...I've been flashing the heck out of my N2 and all of a sudden, SD card can't be mounted in CWM anymore. It's still working when the phone is boot up though. I tried to format it in System Setting and still the card can't be seen in CWM. Tried to format the card in CWM and it just shows "formatting SD card" and stays there all night long. It's top of the line Lexax 64 GB card.
P.S. My other SD card still working fine.
Google & Got it.
Thanks OP!
I have downloaded the alpha stock rom for xperia M from PecanCM with the patch he has released in the thread to enable internal storage formatting of sd cart. However, my old 2 Go sd card works fine with it, but with my 16 Go card , I get a message that my sd card is too slow, so, if I go back, I get stuck at 60%, if I choose "OK", I get the choice of importing data on my sd card which make the setting process to crash, or doing Nothing, which induce a congratulation message, but make my sd card corrupted.
If I format my sd card as external, I have no problem.
Is there a solution for the moment?

for now try to make only for class 10 SDHC card to make it work properly. if your SDHC Class is low from that i think that can make problem when in process. that cause from AOSP feature still unstable from this build.
