Hi all
With help of avs333 that found a way to enable two-way call recording on the Desire, I included the changes in my kernel.
From my tests all is working fine, but I need other tests to check that other apps and functions that uses audio, are working fine.
Remember: make a nandroid backup before flashing this kernel, to revert back after testing or if something goes wrong
You have to use rVoix or CallRecorder (suggested) to have call recording working
You can find them in the original thread here:
Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=993793
rVoix is attached to original thread first post
Call Recorder by skvalex (suggested) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12403411&postcount=182
How to report testing issues:
ROM that you are using
Previous kernel you were using without issues
Your RADIO version
cLK or MAGLDR
Detailed description of the issue
App that caused the issue
If it's a call recording issue, specify the detailed issue and wich app you are using (rVoix or CallRecorder)
At the moment I'm including the patch only on the normal kernel (not the GB one)
This kernel is exactly as my 1.9 OC with just the call recordin patch applied so please dont post unuseful stuff like battery drain or other things not related to audio because nothing has changed about battery/data/wifi/cpu or other stuff.
More you keep this thread clean more I can release this as "stable" version soon.

Just flashed through CWM/hyperdroid11/2.15 radio.....getting bootloops. Was working till i updated to hyperv11. Funny though v11 with stock kernel, the apk still works fine. The call volume on other side is a lil lower but still loud enough to hear just fine. You just helped add a major feature to the android community. As u stated below pongsters build is not fully compatible with some of your kernels.
Thank you very much.....first one in!!!!

this has nothing to do with the changes.
probably you will have same results (no boot/bootloop) with my 1.9 kernel. try it
I dunno why there are issues with pongster's builds...
hi raf i am willing to test this i have you're own rom with 1.9 oc kernel when i usedtwo way recording it worked fine till i use the bluetooth on which i couldn't connect until i deactivate the recording does this patch resolves this problem?

There was no such thing as 2-way recording from the line without this patch.
Your calls were recrded from the mic and i'm sure you could barely here the other side, unless you used the speaker. This patch enables recrding directly from the line, so both sides should be nice and clear.
Two way call recording working on your test kernel.
Test the kernel on CoreDroid 1.5
Also testing with BT hands free.

Hi everyone,
If you want to test my patched r8.3_callrec kernel, you can get it from my post.
If adding another test kernel won't mess this thread.
And if rafpigna doesn't mind, all questions can be discussed in this thread.
Otherwise go to my thread above.
Thanks.

You started an interesting thread about a WiFi module in the developer forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=752856
I tried to post a request there for a version matching my kernel but as a newbie I couldn't post.
If possible I would like a version for 2.6.37.6-cyanogenmod-g8913be8.
I'm currently on CyanogenMod-707312011-NIGHTLY-Desire and it seems as though the WiFi disconnect at screen off issue exists in that kernel.
If you can help me that would be great.
All the best

Found a different solution
Found a different solution:
Wifi turns off while locked
Bipe posted in this thread on 6th Aug:
Looks like it's working for me now, I'm running CM nightly build 152 with ManU kernel (HAVS, AXI, CFS 2.6.35.13).
Click to collapse
So I took these steps: rebooted into recovery, cleared cache and Dalvik cache, flashed nightly build 152, flashed the ManU kernel, flashed gapps, rebooted, went into Wifi Settings, clicked Menu, clicked Advanced, went into Wifi Sleep Policy, changed to Never, clicked Menu, clicked Save.
Now it seems that the "Never" setting does indeed take effect once the screen goes off.
As a newbie I am unable to say if it's the nightly build 152 or the ManU kernel that has fixed this issue. Perhaps someone better qualified than I could tell me that. Nonetheless, I'm once again a happy HTC Desire owner.
Here are the links I used to download nightly build 152 and the ManU kernel:
cm_bravo_full-152.zip
ManU-2.0-GB-HAVS-AXI-128-CFS.zip
More info about the ManU kernel can be found here:

And finally, kudos to Bipe, Koush, EViollet and Myshkinbob.
Kernel based on tytungs r11 (all credits to him) see changelog for improvements
Differences:
-Removed reiser fs and btrfs filesystems useless for most users.
-No default USB tether.
-No need for custom vold(usb notifcations)
-Fixes
For the rest all the same features.
I will continue to add changes. But to add more changes I need user feedback first of the latest kernel. Plan is to update the kernel every 1-7 days. And keep or remove commits based on user feedback.
Attachment is for Magldr flash in cwm.
For clk extract package and use fastboot commands.

Updated by my friend joplayer. The kernel building etc is done by me.

It is really important that you give feedback.
Please not the to general hd2 kernel bugs. This kernel is created with the intension to improve speed and stability. Not to fix the biggest hd2 kernel bugs the reason for this is simply lack of skill.

I am using tytung 11 final Does this kernel change anything to his wifi calling? I need wifi calling.
what happen to Tytung's own kernel releases? halted and handed over to you?
suggestions for opening post

Thanks Awarded for the effort anyways

No he didnt handed them over to me. I keeped tytungs name for the kernel just as respect for him since my work is very minimal. Thanks for the suggestions I will use them in the next release my plan is just to spend more time to improve the kernel by using general android kernel and cm fixes.
And about wifi calling the module and kernel support is included apart from reiser fs and btrfs you should have everything what tytungs kernel has.
ok
oh yeah, hastarin's name should be there since Markinus branch was modded by Hastarin, then Tytung modded Hastarins final 8.6 kernel ( back in the SD build days)
no idea where Hastarin is nowadays though..
great...but I dfound out that tytungs kernel 11 has some serious mobile network connection issues....almost everytime the device turns the screen off and enters sleep state, connection is lost, after waking up, I need to enter PIN to start radio again...maybe you could fix that too
(I am on clk)
nice work m8!
I would love to have a variant of the tytung's kernel for the GB Sense builds with working BT Headset.
Also the OC limit could be pushed further than 1190mhz.
tested on Hyperdroid CM7 Honeybadger (2.3.4) and originally from Tytung r10
WIFI works
3G works , for now until I get to test that complaint regarding timeout during screenoff
Default Smartass will test battery drain and performance across next 24 hours
screen delay was fixed on mine, its so fast that if u keep pressing it , the screen blinks only for a bit
thanks mate

-Keep in mind that battery might need to settle (maybe need to clean battery stats) that is always a bit different when using different kernel sometimes you need to sometimes it is not needed.

Hi
is there a chance to boot this kernel on a SD Build?
I tried it but it stops on "Jump to Kernel"
Thanks
please don't stop!!! big thanks!!!
The greatest news, thank you!
Running fine on Typhoon CM7!
The only problem I get is 17mA without wi-fi..and even in Airplane mode.
Could not get it to boot on the new DHD 3.06 v1.3 from DUNG. Replaced the initrd.gz file, resigned but stuck at go go go. Will keep fiddling.
What a great day, hopefully this will prepare us for the ice cream sandwich in the near future, downloading now
Well, I know it clearly states CM but gave it a shot anyways. I deleted the initrd and installed it on daekins rom and no luck, stuck at gogogo. I'm guessing something in the initrd from his rom needs updating, better luck next time I guess.
Keep up the great work.

Hello, first I would like to congratulate and thank the work done.
I installed and tested this rom. In my case, the system restarts of 5 in 5 minutes what can be? thanks
Make advanced wipe, choose data, system, cache and dalvik-cache
Flash rom (only rom nothing else)
wipe again (this time simple wipe is enough)
reboot
after the rom has booted you can install supersu and gapps if you need (dont do this direct after flashing rom)
Think about, its the first complete rom build ive ever done (really the first)
I get also random reboots but not as often as you (2 the last two days)
Also you can try new Modem...
Great work! I'm following. SlimLP is what I like the most.
Is it too early to ask how is battery/performance?

I Think 4 hours of constantly using your phone while display is on is not as bad
Rom is relative new so i dont know how long it lasts on standby but i gess 2-3days
ah ok, now I got it.
so with 4 hours of on screen time and a good standby time it's definitely a good ROM,
I'll follow the development!
