Can someone please port over a working gingerbread CM6 theme?? Ive tried to metamorph some, but all of them freeze on the framework and the evo theme cant find the sprint network and says its roaming all the time. It would be amazing if someone could fix the evo gingerbread theme for the epic or modify the DK28 theme for CM6. I looked online all day for this theme. Please help!!
Since cyanogenmod is still in nightlies no dev wants to have to update a theme every day to make sure it works

I am a proud evo user.. Rooted since day one and i love it!! I mean i will be waiting on the official release of 2.3. I wanted to know was there anyone that has a stable rom with everything working?? The reason i ask is because i use everything on my phone. Thanks in advance.
Any ROM except MIUI should have everything working, and the only thing not working in MIUI is the 4G.
The only thing you might have a problem with is GPS, but there are a myriad of fixes for that problem, which you can find by searching the forum.

CM7 has everything and also has a nightly build every night. Also, this belongs in the Q&A part as this is a question.

Pretty much what he said.....except the every night part....its slowed down a little to like every two days or every other day ...sometimes its nightly .....but this should also be in the q&a section.

They are now talking about 2.4 and skipping over 2.3.. Well i think that would be right because it would be obsolete by the summer or even before.. I had CM6 stable mod for my htc hero. Very unstable. to the point where my buttons stopped working. But i like CM
Been using the CM7 nightlies for a while now and I've found them to be very stable. I had to fix the GPS by flashing a Sense Rom and clearing the GPS but that's the only problem I've had.
use the salvage-mod rom with the savage-zen kernel. you will love it!

hey ever since i got my evo i was running CM and other asop roms now im flashed synergys rom. what i wanted to know iis if there is anyone out there that can make or convert the darkhorse theme from CM7 to the synergyRC2 rom.If you can it would be greatly appreciated, if not then thank you for your time. have a good day yall!
Not sure if Jonathan's version will work on the Evo - but here is Dark Horse Synergy for the Thunderbolt. Nandroid - and then try it and see. If it bootloops then just nandroid back.

Hey all, could anyone help me out here, got my S2 two weeks ago and have been playing around with it ever since, it's rooted and all and I've tried CM7 which I thought was really cool but I decided to stick with something a little closer to stock since I kinda liked tw, so I'm now running VillainROM 3.0, the question is what themes are compatible with this rom? I don't really know what I should be looking for,I've tried searching but didnt find anything clear. My phone as it stands is running:
Droid ver 2.3.5
Baseband XXKI1
Kernel Ninphetamine 2.0.5
Build VillainROM 3.0.

Searching for Villain in Themes and Apps didnt show many results, and I still dont know what I should be looking for to see if the theme is compatible with VillainROM, are themes usually built for a specific rom or do they usually work on different ones?

If it doesn't day in the title have a look inside a thread and it should say in the OP. There I'd also a couple of universal themes around that should work on any tw based rom.

Now I think I'm starting to get it, even though it says my phone is KI1, seeing as VR3 is based off KI3 I can install any KI3 theme right? I just tested Vertmus' ICS Domination and everything seems to be working fine...
ive been running cm7 for a bit now, and i really like it, but i just noticed today that the 4g doesnt exist anywhere in the settings...im on cm 7.1 build 1221. is this normal, or did i just mess something up by flashing different apps etc. with it?

Wow. I will try to be gentle. A little research will show you that there are no WiMax drivers for CM7 so there will likely not be 4G until after LTE next year.
i did notice that on the page for the rom, but sometimes they dont change everything on the main page for the rom. i wasnt sure because i searched on google and it seemed like some people had it running on certain devices with cm7, so. i guess i either have to deal with it, or maybe find a rom that has support for it, if at all. theres not a whole lot of 4g around me yet though, but id like to have it when i go into those areas.
Yes, I think it is not working on MIUI either but the rest are fine with 4G. If CM7 converted you to MTD there is a stock ROM and Marcusant's ROM for that file system. Otherwise you will need to Odin back to EC05 and repartition to run a Touchwiz ROM on RFS or EXT4 file systems.

Miui is cm7 based, so if something doesn't work on cm7, it probably won't work on miui. Once 4g works on cm7/ if it does, I may be able to implement it on miui, but no promises.

Yeah cm7 no miui don't have 4g. And might not for a while since devs are not focused on the 4g's now. Once they r done with minor bugs they will focus on 4g.

Hello all, this is my first post here as I am an Epic 4g user. However, I recently rooted my brothers evo and gave him his first custom ROM. He liked ICS so I put the latest AOKP build on his device.
Although he really likes it, it seems to freeze and soft reboot a little too much for his taste. So I am looking for a new ROM for him that doesnt have to be ICS, and doesnt have to be flashy or anything, it just needs to be stable and have everything work.
So basically my question is what ROM would you guys suggest for a newbie to the whole rooting/ROM thing. Sorry if this question has been asked alot, but I kind of need a current answer because I would prefer a newer ROM so it will continue to be updated/supported.
Thanks alot for any tips/advice I may get from you guys, have a great day.

I recommend mikg it is a sense 2.1 rom with sense 3.0 features. It has a lot of support and themes. Another would be classic by Tommytomatoe its sense 1.0 with a lot of tweaks and themes also. Now if your looking for a aosp rom I've heard good stuff about decks reloaded. I myself am running the latest Miui.us v4 rom and have no issues other then the obvious ics bugs

I am new to the whole Android world myself as of last Summer. So I am certainly not a ROM authority by any means. But, I have been actively been researching xda and flashing various ROMs since rooting my Evo.
The first ROM I flashed was Nitrous 1.3.3. I ran that ROM until the update to 1.3.5 came out and flashed that. I ran Nitrous for awhile but thought I would try some of the ROMs that I was seeing posted on goodandevo. I tried a MIUI ROM, and went back to Nitrous. I tried Cyanogen's ROMs, and went back to Nitrous. I tried Decks, ODLDub, etc., and went back to Nitrous.
There was certainly nothing wrong with these ROMs. I wanted to flash them. All of them appealed to me in some way and every time I walked through one of them it was obvious to me that the devs put eminence time and effort into them. But I go back every time. I am now running Nitrous 1.4.7 and love it. I have been able to chat with the developer when I have questions and was never painfully reminded of my noob state.
Nitrous is snappier then any others that I tried. Simple and clean too. With the custom Nitrous Kernel developed by ca1ne, it is perfect set for me. Certainly worth checking out.

You should try a Nitrous ROM, I just flashed one myself a several days ago and I love it !!! That is the fastest ROM I have flashed so far !!!
