probelm_save_contact

1. I have new telephon number in my call history.
2. I want to save this number on my existing contact in my contact list
> I mark the number and click buton SAVE /left soft key/
> I try to smrtfind my existing contact with keyboard but is still no worked
3. Error are:
> when I press H > nothing
> when I press D > mark contact with D
> press E > mark DE
> press L noting /I have contact with name Deliana/
> pressed N > nothing /I have contact with name Dencho/
What is the problem why my smartfind dosn't working !? Please help !

Same Problem here.
Do you have an original HTC s620? I use XDA Cosmo from o2 Germany. I thought it may be could be an issue for my brand. My ROM-Version is 1.13.207.2
This makes it impssible to update exsiting contacts.
Do others experience the same?

RecMod (Module to File) By denominator77

Thanks to denominator77 we now know how to recmod some modules

Sometimes ImageBase is not properly restored by FixRecMod.exe. If IDA has not identified any imported function, then try the following steps to fix the addresses:
1. Go to .pdata segment
2. There will be a list of "Function start" and "Function end" definitions
3. Take the first "DCD 0xNNNNZZZZ ; Function start"
4. In the most cases ImageBase will be 0xNNNN0000
5. Run LordPE and update ImageBase, BaseOfCode, and BaseOfData

I'm sorry to bumb such an old thread, but please could you try recmodding the SystemInfo exes and dlls from the ShellDogfood package? They are really old, but there is a possibility that they could run on current version of WP. And if they don't run, is there a way to debug them?

WP7 Rom Tools by AnDim

Hi,
I start this thread because a couple of people asked my to upload the WP7 Rom Tools by AnDim. I don't know what happened to AnDim. About a month ago suddenly all his posts were deleted. The forum admins recovered all the posts and locked the original thread, which can be found here. After the thread was recovered it was closed and AnDim's account was disabled. Unfortunately the attachments were not recovered. So AnDim's work is lost. I got a copy of the latest htcRIE, but not from HVEdit. So I will copy the original post from AnDim here and attach his htcRIE. But I don't plan on maintaining his code or support this program or anything, because source code is not available and he coded in C++ so it can't be easily reversed. I just hope he will return some day, so this thread can be closed again and the original thread will be resurrected. All credits should go to AnDim for his great work. Info below is a copy of the original thread.

2. To edit default.hv and user.hv use HVEdit_v.2.0.112
You can use drag-and-drop. Create shortcut first.
3. To rebuild IMGFS use imgfsfromdump (or other tool), but don`t forget a new cecompr_nt.dll (with XPH compression type support).
You can use cecompr7_nt.dll from htcRIE_0.7.0.46.zip, but rename to cecompr_nt.dll first.
4. To replace IMGFS use htcRIE_0.7.0.46 again.

5. To replace custom Bitmap use 24-Bit-Bitmap (480x800)

Could you give me the ROM that can edit by this tool please? I try to extract some ROM such as RUU_Schubert_hTC_Asia_SEA_WWE_1.57.728.02_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10_Signed_SCHUBERT_TEST but I can not add new IMGFS to it because menu "Add File" is not enabled.
Could you tell me What is the word "RUU" means?

Also, I can see Omnia7 mentioned but how about Focus?

Adding a Logo doesn't work in a WP7 Mango Rom...I open OS.nb, go to LOGO, click on Logo0 and the "Add file" option is gray (what means I can't use it)...Any other way to replace the boot logo?

Just playing with Advanced Info on version 10.0.14291.1001

I was just playing on my 950 XL with advanced info
be sure you use version 10.0.14291.1001 or 10.0.14291.1000
what i did :
- put my phone in mtp mode
- browse on my pc to : this pc -> windows phone -> phone -> dpp -> mmo -> regscreen
--- > there a couple of files you can edit
- i replaced the file : imagelabel_dark.png with my own ( i put : my first test in it )
- and changed the content of the file : coo.txt with the text : test test test
- then HARD reset my phone ( or settings -> about -> reset your phone )
i know its not much but i just want to share this info.
have fun with it ..
