Hi folks, as will all?
I apologize if there is no answer to that question, but haven't found anything that could help me!
Clockwork from ROM Recovery Manager can't find more making EXT3 as there were before!
I have a small doubts with respect to the partitioning of the SD card to EXT3 ...
How should I proceed to make an ext3 partition and wondering if she really was created?
Before I knew it was possible by Rom Manager, but now I don't think more this option in the application.
Could help me giving a brief auxilio?
Thank you all
You can either use ROM Manager on the Market but thats only for 512MB partitions. If you want bigger then use Amon RA
Thanks for the reply ... but believe me I expressed very well!

I already have my SD Card partitioned by Rom Manager, but would like to make a partition in addition to this, ok?
When I go in recovery Clockworkmod not me appears the option to create EXT3 or EXT3 to EXT4, understand?
This partition that the Rom Manager makes card would be EXT3?
How to make another partition beyond that which ja have made by Rom Manager?
Thank you very much for your help, my friend!
I formatted the microSDHC card with Amon-Ra recovery to
512mb ext3 / 64mb swap. I reapplied CWM recovery and rebooted normal.
Used rom manager to do a nandriod backup and it did see the sd-ext partition.
what do I do to tell Android to setup and use swap partition, and should it help?
so here is the deal. did s-off today, had a FAT32+ EXT4 on my sdcard. i tried to install rcmixS (cm7 hboot) but i got a bootloop. so i read it might help to format ext4 to ext3, and there was a flashable .zip that was supposed to do it. flashed the zip and after that my EXT partition no longer works (not even in gparted - like it wasnt there, 1gb of storage just isnt visible) and my FAT32 works only in windows... if i enable usb mass storage in CWM 2.5.1.8 i can copy files to SD but then in recovery it says 'no files found' when i want to flash a rom.
so i took my second SD card, it worked in CWM, so i ran gparted and did FAT32+EXT3 (no .zip's this time) and the same thing happend, but this time i can still see EXT3 in gparted, formatted it back to FAT32 but still windows can see it but not the recovery...
gosh help me please :<
Flash a newer recovery, might stop this issue. Also, recovery is gay and soemtimes files don't appear for me so I just reboot the recovery. If you want a quick fix for the partitions, just boot into your rom you have installed, go to Settings > Storage > Erase SD. It will wipe the lot and just put it all to a single FAT32 partition. You will need to format again but at least if partitions go missing, you can do this and you just partition it again.
since i had no rom when my sd broke i ran a RUU, and formatted SD from android, and it worked ! 1GB that was M.I.A. is now back, big thanks man!
so now i am rooting with unrevoked and cwm 2.5.0.7 which never let me down
so while s-offing again, can i stay with 2.5.0.7 or des it have to be 2.5.1.8 ?
I am trying to make a ext4 partition on sd to use a2sd but with no success.
I have 3 sd..
I can create on all of them a fat32 partition + ext4 partition.
On 2 sd (4gb and 8gb) the phone does not go beyond the splash screen. Sometimes appair "quietly brilliant" animation but make the animation forever.
On 1 sd (2gb) it work perfect.
I have tried both gparted and RMD recovery to partition all sd.
I have s-off and hrev7 r2 hboot.
Any idea ?
Flash the ROM again from scratch for the new cards.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
Gparted.... Primary partition FAT32 - 7 gb for example
Then make EXT 3 or 4 (depends on your rom) @ 1 gb for example
Put all your files back on sd card
Flash rom from recovery
DONE
That's all you need to get apps2sd working
Just make sure you always have PRIMARY FOLLOWED BY EXT
Having a swap is up to you - I personally don't notice difference with or without it
Gparted.... Primary partition FAT32 - 7 gb
EXT4 - 1 gb
recovery -> wipe all, wipe every single voice and wipe all again
recovery -> flash the rom
reboot
... don't work (on 4gb and 8gb sd).. it work only on 2gb sd
recovery -> format sd card 1gb ext4, so it create 7gb fat32 + 1gb ext4
recovery -> wipe all, wipe every single voice and wipe all again
recovery -> flash the rom
reboot
... don't work (on 4gb and 8gb sd).. it work only on 2gb sd
With RA-desire-v2.0.0 recovery
RA-desire-v2.0.0 -> format 1gb ext2 -> convert to ext3 -> convert to ext4
RA-desire-v2.0.0 -> wipe all, wipe every single voice and wipe all again
RA-desire-v2.0.0 -> flash the rom
... it work on 8gb sd card
why ?
Personally, I'd check for bad sectors on the two sd cards that are not working
Sounds like bad sd cards.... no other obvious reasons
not all the recoveries works..few only like amon_ra, cwm 2.5.0.7(not for pvt4), maybe the latest 5.0.2.0..maybe some 3.x (not all). some 4.x..the others one are bugged (even if sometimes its works, maybe in some worst condition its fails)!!!!
a recovery need only to works..choice a recovery and use always that recovery..stop
people try every day a new recovery, untill a day something don't work and they say like you..why?
in addition, if ur rom need a ext4 u should know that every cmw recovery (except the 5.x) will convert ur sdext to ext3 when u wipe it!!!!!
Totally agree with BigMrB and andQlimax.

pls i need help
Hi did you try redo it with gparted? or flash better recovery to setup partitions on your sd card... some rom are not showing all space from ext partition... BTW why you have swap? instruction saying 0 MB for swap
Its working correctly, the 183Mb free space will decrease slowly but it is using the 2Gb ext partition for app storage. Also, you don't need a swap partition. My advice is to start again, either do a backup, repartition your SD card with 1Gb ext and 0 swap and then restore or just do the partitioning and flash the ROM from scratch.

some one tell me to partition sd card 1GB and swap 0M and i ask him can i use 2 GB or i can only but 1GB
does i need to install data2ext or a2sd rom ????
If you constantly ignore what we are telling, you won't get any answer any more.
